| On May 31, 1975, Shane Britton
was born in Oregon, where he still lives with his wife,
Kristin, and son, Aidan. In 2002, only two weeks after
Aidan’s birth, Shane graduated from Western Oregon
University with a Masters of Arts in Teaching.
Shane felt a need to continue his education after working
numerous odd jobs, not the least of which was the time
he spent working in the woods to help pay for college.
Struggling to get out of bed between 3:30 and 4:30 in
the morning to set chokers among poison oak gave him
a profound respect for individuals who use their bodies
to make a living.
To occupy his time beyond fatherhood
and teaching, Shane is outlining his next writing project
and training for triathlons.
