Jayne Bullock is a retired
journalist, published poet and currently doing free-lance
articles. She has an Associates Degree in journalism
from Marshalltown Community College and a Bachelor of
Arts Degree in journalism and English from Iowa State
University. Winds of Destiny is her first novel, but
she has written for several area newspapers and spent
16 years writing feature, arts and entertainment and
food stories for the Tribune in Ames, Iowa. She has
a published book (2005) of recipes and interviews with
area cooks. Since retiring in 2005, she has continued
to write food and travel stories for The Tribune and
short feature, travel and food stories for The Story
County Community Digest, a small marketing magazine.
She also has been featured in Poets of now Anthology,
Our Iowa Magazine and Capper’s Magazine.
Jayne, who enjoys writing and
gardening, and her husband Paul, a woodworker, live
in Marshalltown, Iowa. Together they enjoy camping,
traveling and spending time with their three children
and seven grandchildren.
