
Michael Joel Held was educated
at Eastern Kentucky University in paralegal studies.
In 1996, while attending Eastern Kentucky University,
he was inducted into the prestigious Golden Key National
Honor Society. His term papers are still being used
by the English Department as examples of creative writing.
He is a freelance author of a
novel, 2005, and several short fiction and non-fiction
works. Fire From The Sky, the story of the
rise and fall of the Sioux Indian Nation, was published
by Synergebooks. It is the first volume of a trilogy.
In 1997, when he lived in Northern Ireland, several
works were published at the request of the Ulster Humanist
Magazine. Such works as, but not limited to, Requiem
For God, a philosophical work; An American In Northern
Ireland, discussing the “problems”
between Catholics and Protestants and the violence between
both Christian groups, published in 1997. An article
entitled, How to Overcome Fear and Heal Your Body
With The Power Of Your Mind published in a non-fiction
work by Dr. Ed Ross, PhD.
Mr. Held is presently working
on a non-fiction work about Bipolar Disorder, of which
he is one who is afflicted with the illness. The name
shall be, My Roller Coaster Ride Being a Bipolar
Disorder Patient. Said book should be completed
for publication by early spring, 2008.
