Vladimir Strejcek is originally
from Europe, born in Prague, Czech Republic. For many
years he had resided in the United States.
He studied music and voice at the Music Conservatory
in Vienna, Austria. Later he studied theology at the
Charles University in Prague and continued his study
at the University of Chicago, where he concentrated
at the teaching of world religions and spirituality.
Vladimir served as a minister in Quaker churches in
America. Presently he is a pastor of a Quaker church
in Mt. Airy, NC.
In his spiritual study Vladimir was influenced by the
book of Paramahansa Yogananda, "Autobiography of
a Yogi," and other works of mystics from different
religions and traditions. In 1988, he founded the Universal
Unity Society, which promotes unity and understanding
in the world.
