HEART
& SOUL

EXCERPT
Kaleidoscope Dream
Eyelids flutter to a close,
Colorful thoughts creep inside,
Sparkling gold dust in your eyes,
Dreams take over as you doze,
Drifting off into the sky,
Metallic blue and silver lined,
Glittering fairytales disclose,
As shiny visions paint the world
In shades of incandescent love,
All the earth in luminous glows,
Radiant illusions invade the mind,
Lustrous clouds conceal the rain
While a kaleidoscope dream unfolds.
Dream Seeker
I am the dream seeker
Often frail and weak,
Searching for a fantasy
That in our dreams we keep,
Reality hides beneath a dream
often cloaked and deep.
Aura is the seer
Often blind as I,
Seeing through all fantasy
That only speaks thru eyes,
Speaking thoughts the mind has hid
Silencing the soul that cries.
My soul is the keeper
Of hidden sins unseen,
Eyes but cloudy windows
Only she can see within,
Drawing out scenes of guilt
Seeking forgiveness beseeching mend.
Seer looking, I am weak,
Speak not words as thoughts she sees,
Inside my mind she creeps,
Examines dreams, reads them well
As her words pour over me,
Espy the pain inside so deep.
Aura touches feelings
Closed with mindless flight,
Draws them out from whence they dwell
As stark truth meets light,
Slowly filling depth with truth
Beholding forgiveness, purged the fight.
