THE
PSYCHIC SOUL
by Theresa Jodray
~ Excerpt ~
LAND OF THE DECEASED
Walking through the land of the deceased
Can you hear their whispers, as they gossip?
About you the man still left in his skin to wander
Yet within the earth not yet able to fly free
Sauntering amongst the spirits world
Can you hear their laughter?
For they know so much more then
The caterpillars left here on the ground
Eyes shut do you open up your ears
To the voices outside your head
Listen to the guidance that is here
They have much to say so much to tell
Strolling here in the land of the dead
They are the newly born into their world
We still in this earthly body guess at best
On what is set before us yet to come
Sit back let us enjoy this carnival ride
For its all a stage in the existence of time
To join together before judgment
Siphoning the rotten pits from our souls
BRRRR
Brrrr,
ice on my face
Sneeze,
cold winds embrace
Taste,
snowflakes on tongue
Awe,
fireplace fun
Peer,
through the dark day
Hey,
caribou play
Slip,
walkway is froze
Ouch,
poor frozen toes
Oh,
big cuddly coat
Red,
tint to my nose
Swish,
skiing is great
Oops,
fell on my face
Run,
to my warm car
Well,
my day so far
PLACE PAST BEDROCK
Strong, swift breeze blows through the desert
As my walking through this place seems
Much too disturbing, breaking the ancient call
You can still hear them here in this place
Though decades have passed I feel their presence
Hearing a beat in the wind, you know their drums play on
Set boldly within the hills are the ruins of this civilization
Hieroglyphics painted on stone boulders as reminders
I want to stay and sit here in the sandy wind and listen
Hear them still running and hunting on this desert floor
Feeling the ancient knowledge here for me to find
The javelina still roam here, the mule deer still bed down
But these wondrous people of southern Arizona
Have been gone from this desert place for some time
Moving as civilization pushed them physically along
Their ancestors still stand watch over this..
Place past Redrock
