how
to write a poem
The first step is to write down the idea you'd
like to see as a poem. After that, turn thought into a free
verse poem. There exist two different types of poems: structured
and free verse. An example of a structured poem is a limerick.
Free verse is easier to write because there are no steadfast
rules to writing them. Some free verse doesn't rhyme or have
meters to them. Meter is defined as a rhythm in verses, or
a pattern of syllables.
