Scent of the Roses is an incredible read. I fell in love with Ms. Forte's characters from the first page. She's woven a wonderful tale of friendship, love, mystery and magic, which combined, creates an intriguing and captivating story. Definitely worth all five stars.

I loved this book! Ms. Forte has a wonderful way with words and kept me reading into the wee, small hours of the morning. It's great to see engaging characters and a moving storyline from all aspects, friendship, love and mystery, from a new author. Scent of Roses is a must buy in this reader's opinion.

Scout Patterson was returning to her hometown after twenty years. Her step-mother had died and left her and her stepsister everything. The problem was the step-sister had been missing for the same twenty years and she was to
blame. But could Lisa still be alive? Why hadn't anyone heard from her? She had gone to school with other girls who had been involved in witchcraft. They had learned to hypnotize her to get the answers to homework, etc. She was easy to take into the trance like state and had more powers than the rest in astral projection, time travel and precognition. Yet they had controlled her against her wishes at first, for which she hated them for it.

But she had slept with her stepsister's boyfriend, which caused her to run away.

Nick Greco, now a policeman had been Scout's mystery boyfriend when she was fifteen. He was devastated when she had left town. Now she was back and he had to see her and talk to her once again.

Why had she lied to him those many years ago? He wanted answers.

SCENT OF ROSES by P. G. Forte is an intriguing mystery filled with exceptional minds, old mental anguish and murder. It is a long read, but so very interesting I didn't notice as I kept turning the pages. The story that unfolds kept me glued to the novel as this small town's problems from the past and present unfold. P. G. Forte is an exceptional writer to bring the
different personalities of these many characters into the story. I recommend her writing to anyone who likes this genre.
