Chapter 6 Reasons

  Chapter 6 Reasons

After hearing Gray's confirmation, the AI replied. “The first thing the pilot would need to do is to recover your health and get some rest so that your body would be in an optimal state to cultivate and start leveling up your Bio Plasma.”

When Gray heard the AI, talk about his health and rest while he was being hunted down by the aliens. Gray spoke up and said in a sarcastic tone. “Oh wow, that would be so nice if I could get some shut-eye and rest while the aliens are hunting me down so that they can kill me.”

The AI sensed the change in Gray's tone and responded in its usual emotionless voice. “Pilot please don’t worry. Your location will not be discovered through the QSTC device within the next 48 hours.”

When Gray heard this, some of the burden had been lifted off of him. He then looked down at the floor for a few moments before lifting his head to look at the holographic screens in front of him.

After he let out a sigh he then spoke. “I apologize for that outbreak I had. Though I would love to rest but what about our current fuel situation?”

The AI could not be seen, there was no panel that even remotely showed it, or showed that it was speaking. Its voice seemed to have come from all around Gray at the same time yet it didn’t. It almost felt supernatural. “No problem, apology accepted. We should not have any fuel issues as I have detected that fuel is abundant around the ship’s parameter.”

When Gray heard this, he was pleasantly surprised.“What! Where is it and how do I obtain it?”

Listening to Gray's questions, the AI answered. “Pilot, the fuel that this ship uses is from Biological organisms.”

With that reply, Gray somewhat understood what it was. So, he asked for a more detailed explanation to make sure his thoughts were on the right track. “Can you tell me more about this ‘biofuel’ and how it is used?”

Hearing this the AI replied. “Would the Pilot like a detailed explanation or a simple one?”

“A simple one please,” Gray asked the AI.

With his confirmation, the AI went on to explain “Biofuel or matter comes from Bio organisms and is used to extract Bio Plasma which in terns’ powers ships and machines. For biological organisms, this gives them strange powers, prolongs their lives, and allows them to grow stronger almost infinitely provided that there is enough Bio Matter available. For machines Bio reactors are used. They are used by combating two types of bacteria from different planets that feed off of the Bio matter to produce Bio Plasma efficiently. The Bio Plasma is then harvested and processed into a fuel that has mysterious effects.”

When Gray heard this, he went deep into thought. ‘No wonder why the aliens were killing people, it was because they wanted them for fuel to power their ships and grow stronger.’

Gray became furious when he thought about why his mother was killed. ‘Was my mother just used to fuel the alien’s growth and hunger for power. No, I need to find out more.’ This made his blood boil and his hunger for revenge grows exponentially.

He did not know it at the moment, but his hatred would push him to accomplish great things. He unknowingly clenched his fists while he asked the AI “So, what kind of Bio matter would be the best fuel source for the ship?”

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

The AI replied as it continued to speak in an unemotional and bland voice. “The best kind would be a protein-based type of Bio matter, the fresher it is the better.

Although normal Bio matter would work, it will not be as efficient. I advise the Pilot to procure at least five kilograms of Bio matter for the ship’s fuel and your recovery.”

Gray asked with his hand on his chin as he slightly tilted his head. “My recovery?”

The AI then proceeded to explain to Him. “The Pilot is injured and Bio Plasma can aid you in speeding up your recovery. The healing process would be done through the neural interface. It is also recommended for ships life support system to be reconfigured for the Pilots needs.”

When Gray heard this, he was quite surprised. “Oh! It can do that. This Bio plasma stuff is starting to sound more and more interesting.”

He took a quick look at his bandaged arm, some parts of it were already stained red with his blood. He was not very comfortable with the wounds on his body. It was still quite painful and that did not help when he needed to crawl on all fours through the cramped hallways.

Gray made up his mind and decided to go out and collect some Bio matter. He ordered the AI “Keep an eye on the ship while I go out to collect some Bio matter. Also, reconfigure the ship's life support systems to better support my needs.”

“Affirmative” the AI replied to Gray's order.

He then opened the huge hanger bay door through the holographic control panel. He took off the neural gear that was on his head and crawled through the small and cramped passageways. He could not wait to get his injuries healed.

After going through the passageways, he made it to the hanger bay. Just by looking at the sheer size of the bay door he could not help but comment. “Damn, why does this hanger door have to be so huge?”

There were only two ways to enter this ship: One was to go through the hanger bay door and the other was through a small hatch at the very top of the ship, this hatch was for docking with other such ships.

There was no way he could get down from the top of the ship without killing himself. The ship itself was huge, but not for the aliens. To them, this was just a small Mech carrier that doubled down as a tiny cargo ship.

Gray then walked out of the ship and went outside to pick some Bio matter from a few green trees. After he had finished picking a pile of leaves, he walked to the farmhouse to get a bag to put them in too.

On his way back to the ship, Gray thought ‘If the world knew that you could run a spaceship and heal a person’s wounds with just a few kilograms of leaves it would stop turning.’

While he was making his way to the ship, he looked up to the night sky. He clenched his fists and spoke with a determined look on his face. “Soon I’ll be coming for you all.”

He then looked in the direction of the cloaked ship and made his way to it. He soon got back to the control room and closed the hanger door. The ship’s door closed just like an old castle drawbridge.

He then put the bag down and asked the AI. “Where can I put the Bio matter, I think I have seven or eight kilograms here.”

Not long after a small compartment lifted out of the ship’s floor with the space to store the Bio matter.

Gray then shoved all of the leaves he had into the compartment, once he was done its top closed and it lowered back into the floor. If one does not look carefully, they might not be able to notice it. He then went back and put on the neural headgear and spoke to the AI.

“So can we start the healing process?” He said in an excited and anxious voice.

  The AI replied, “Affirmative.”

Not long after Gray felt a cool sensation flow into his body. It started around his head and went down into his chest then it spread out into his body as if it was searching for something. Once it got to his arm it started to heat up and the wounds on his arm started to heal at a rapid pace that was visible to the naked eye.

The wounds on his arm healed quite well leaving no visible marks or scars. After a few minutes, the process came to an end.

Then Gray spoke, “Can you run a diagnostic scan on me?”

  “No problem” the AI replied.

  [Pilot diagnostics]

  Race:???

  Bio talent: High

  Neural talent: High

  Bio plasma: None

  Bio level: None

  Health:95%

  Rest is advised.

When Gray saw this he was quite satisfied with the results he then asked the AI. “Can this heal fatal wounds?’

The AI replied to Gray. “No, this system cannot heal fatal wounds. The Pilot would need to use a life chamber for that.”

After some time, Gray decided to go to sleep so that he would get an early start to cultivate his Bio plasma the next day. He ordered the AI to wake him up if any intruders were near the ship. He did not want the same thing happening to him as it did to the alien.
