Chapter 7

Yang Yang checked the time and realized they had to leave early today because an old client was coming to the store. He arranged the fruits artistically and brought them over, then went to clean his room. Fifteen minutes ter, the room was spotless.

Hui Hui came to inspect the room for a while. “Not bad, color brother. You’re actually quite impressive when you’re serious. Go get me an ice pack from the fridge.”

“You don’t have a fever, why do you need an ice pack?” Feng Xian asked.

“Because you made my little hole hurt so much, that’s why,” Hui Hui replied, turning to look at him. Feng Xian quickly went to get the ice pack and brought it back to her.

  “Here you go, sister.”

“Okay, it’s almost time for school. I’ll make you work for me when you get back. Go to school, color brother.”

Feng Xian closed the door, and Hui Hui couldn’t help but ugh. She was angry at being messed with by her brother, but his rge meat stick felt incredibly good inside her. She thought to herself, “If we weren’t siblings, I might really fall for him.”

Hui Hui gently used the ice pack to soothe the pain in her little hole.

When Feng Xian arrived at his cssroom, he saw the css leader already sitting inside, quietly reading an e-book while the other students chatted and pyed. Following Ling Auntie’s advice, Feng Xian decided to go greet the css leader to test the waters.

He swallowed hard, gathered his courage, and walked over. “Css leader… good morning.”

Although he tried to act calm, he still felt a bit embarrassed when he reached her.

“Good morning, Feng Xian. Did you finish the homework the teacher assigned yesterday?” the css leader asked.

  “Uh… I forgot.”

“You’re in trouble then. There’s only five minutes left before css starts, so you definitely won’t have time to finish it now.”

“Alright, I guess I’ll just have to let the teacher scold me ter. Boys are tough, after all.”

“Hehe, I’ll give you a copy. I did extra homework yesterday for review, and here’s an unencrypted version.”

“Wow, you’re such a great css leader. I’ll support you all the way to college.”

The school bell rang, signaling the start of css. “Hehe, stop joking around. Let’s get to css.”

  “Okay.”

Just as Ling Auntie had said, the css leader didn’t make a big deal out of it. Feng Xian sat behind her and carefully observed her. Apart from her cuteness, she seemed kind and understanding, and he found himself liking her more and more.

During breaks, the css leader wouldn’t go out and socialize with other students. She would just review the teacher’s lessons alone, which was what she had always done. The other students were used to it and didn’t bother her.

Meanwhile, Feng Xian’s three friends started discussing the “Immortal Demon” game again. Feng Xian looked at them with a mixture of exasperation and amusement.

“I fought with my junior sister for over two hours yesterday. I barely managed to escape by jumping off a cliff. The hate mechanic in this game is insane!” Feng Xian said.

His friends burst into ughter. “Hahahaha! Ga gaga~!”

“You’re probably the first pyer to get killed before even clearing the newbie area. That’s how stifling it must have been for you,” Molly teased.

“Yeah, I was pursued until I had no choice but to give in. But I didn’t max out the hate value, so after doing a few quests, things cooled down. You, on the other hand, seem to have gone all the way with your junior sister. Are you treating this game like a dating sim?” Dong Yuan joked.

“Hey, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Feng Xian replied, feigning innocence.

“Your next task is to go to…” Molly said.

“Xingjia Vilge. Have you guys been there?” Feng Xian asked, looking at his friends.

They all shook their heads. “No.”

Feng Xian found it hard to believe them. He thought they might be trying to trick him into a trap so they could tease him more.

“This game’s world is as vast as the real world. There are cities with tens of millions of people and small vilges with a few thousand. Even the first batch of pyers has only explored about thirty percent of the ‘Immortal Demon’ world. That’s already considered a lot,” Dong Yuan expined.

“Otherwise, it wouldn’t have earned the title of ‘dark horse’ in the game,” Molly added.

“Why don’t we team up tonight and discuss it in the guild? Maybe someone has done it,” Dong Yuan suggested.

“Sure thing. I’ll send you a message tonight, and we can py together.”

“I have something to do tonight, so I won’t be able to join you. You two go ahead,” Feng Xian quickly expined.

(Why would a virtual game be as fun as the real thing? Hehehe.)

His friends didn’t say much more, but Dong Yuan was happy to have the chance to py with her and improve their retionship. Another day passed uneventfully.

Today, the css leader left earlier than usual. Normally, she would linger in the cssroom until almost everyone else had left, but today she departed with the other students. Feng Xian ended up leaving the cssroom st.

When he reached the first-floor corridor, he saw the css leader standing there, as if waiting for someone. He walked over and greeted her.

“Css leader, are you waiting for someone?”

  “I’m waiting for you.”

  “Me?”

“There’s no homework today, so can you accompany me to the mall? I want to buy a new dress, and it’s boring to go alone.”

  “Okay.”

(Is this a date? It’s my first time going to the mall alone with a girl. This happiness came so suddenly!) Feng Xian thought to himself.

He immediately pulled out his phone and sent a text to his aunt, telling her he wouldn’t be riding home with her today. The two of them took the bus to the Fortune Mall. Along the way, they chatted casually, keeping a slight distance from each other.

It was like a first date, with both of them liking each other but feeling too shy to get close. MengMeng acted as usual, but Feng Xian felt stiff and tense. Most importantly, he was afraid…

They visited several clothing stores but didn’t find anything MengMeng liked until they reached the third floor. Feng Xian’s nervousness intensified.

“Feng Xian, what are you doing here at the mall? And who is this?” Yang Yang had just come out of the restroom and was heading back to her store.

“Mom, this is our css leader, MengMeng. I’m here to help her pick out some clothes.”

Feng Xian’s worst fear came true—he ran into his mom. She owned a lingerie store on the third floor of the Fortune Mall.

  “Hello, Auntie,” MengMeng greeted politely.

“You’re welcome. MengMeng, you two go ahead and shop. If you get tired, you can come to my store to rest. I’ll be leaving now. Bye.”

Yang Yang left with a happy smile, gncing at her son.

(Oh no, we’ve been discovered. I don’t know how much questioning I’ll face when I get home.) Feng Xian thought.

(Haha, this kid is really growing up. He’s found a girlfriend so quickly!) Yang Yang thought to herself.

The two of them continued shopping until they finally found a beautiful, colorful dress on the fifth floor. It was a long dress that reached MengMeng’s ankles, swaying gracefully with each step. After more than an hour of shopping, they finally made their purchase.

“Feng Xian, you must be tired from all this shopping. Let’s go across the street for a drink. I’ll treat you.” MengMeng led the way, carrying the shopping bag.

The beverage shop was beautifully decorated, with projections on the signs showcasing their popur items. As they considered what to drink, the shop employee approached them.

“Our store is currently promoting a ‘Bonds’ milkshake. Two cups for just 15 yuan. Would you like to try it?”

The employee assumed they were a couple and recommended the drink. MengMeng and Feng Xian both felt a bit shy. Then, Feng Xian mustered up the courage.

“It does look good. Css leader, let’s get it.”

  “Okay…”

After paying, Feng Xian scanned his face to complete the payment. The employee handed them their drinks, and they sat down at a small table to chat.

“It’s said that I’m treating you, but you ended up paying.” MengMeng said, sipping her drink through a straw.

“Of course, this is the ‘Bonds’ milkshake. It’s only right that the guy pays.” Feng Xian joked, holding up his own drink.

MengMeng understood the implication and blushed. She didn’t say much, just bit her lip and gnced at him occasionally with her big eyes.

“From the way your mom looked at us earlier, she probably thinks…” MengMeng said, her face turning red as she drank faster.

“It’s possible. Maybe she’s already discussing it with our retives. Who knows?” Feng Xian teased, exaggerating to make MengMeng even more flustered.

MengMeng, trying to expin, got so flustered that she choked on her drink. “Cough… cough… Do we need to go over and expin that I’m just here to buy clothes with you? We haven’t progressed to that point, Feng Xian.”

A gentleman always carries tissues, so Feng Xian handed her one. She had covered her mouth with her hand, and he gently patted her back.

“I don’t think they’d believe us even if we expined. At most, they’d just pretend to accept it.” Feng Xian said.

“Ah… I didn’t think that much of it. I just wanted a friend to go shopping with. I didn’t mean to make things difficult for you, Feng Xian.” MengMeng apologized, thinking she had caused trouble for him.

MengMeng’s innocent thoughts made her believe she had wronged Feng Xian, but she didn’t realize that for a guy, this was an exciting and shining moment. When the css leader apologized, Feng Xian felt he had gone too far with his joke.

“No need to apologize, css leader.”

“I didn’t mean to. I just don’t have many acquaintances, and I’m not good at socializing. You’re the only one I can talk to, so I wanted to ask you out.”

“We’re friends, aren’t we?” MengMeng said with a sweet smile, finally easing the awkwardness.

Just then, a little girl in a red dress with deer antlers interrupted them. She was about seven or eight years old, carrying a basket of roses, each individually wrapped and decorated. She walked up to Feng Xian.

“Brother, buy a rose for your beautiful girlfriend.” The little girl smiled sweetly, then gnced at MengMeng.

Feng Xian was in a predicament. Should he refuse or buy one? Just then, the little girl, acting like a seasoned businesswoman, threw in another hook.

“Brother, please buy one to help out my sister. I’ve been selling flowers since morning and haven’t sold a single one. Just help me out, okay?” The little girl put on a pitiful expression.

“Okay… how much?” Feng Xian asked.

  “Five yuan a rose.”

After paying with his phone, Feng Xian expected to receive the rose, but the little girl walked over to MengMeng and handed her the flower instead.
