Chapter 2: Player of Games 6

  Miria’s perspective.

Late in that same night, inside a tavern located at the top of a hill, there were rumors that a man was rented out to one of the Royal Lamia’s from the Eastern Lands. Wealthy enough that it could build an entire Kingdom in the middle of the Desert in a matter of Weeks.

It was rather unusual for a Lamia to visit a tavern like that, but having a capable young man as a sexual partner was enough reason to go out of their way.

“I still don’t believe you just let him sleep with her like that.” Vanessa said as she served me a beer.

“I just bought the Flying Duck from you with the money I got from our st expedition. If I don’t try to be creative, I’m going to be poor again in a heart beat.” Yeah, like it was that easy, I had a bit of money left, but to register another sve I had to pay a lot for it, especially a man.

“Heh, I guess you could do better than pimping your precious sve so easily. How much was her offer?”

“1000 thousand gold coins.” The bar woman was quite shocked after hearing it.

“Wow! I can see why you took the deal, those damn Eastern Lamias are so wealthy. I wish I had a man to pimp around like that, my life would be so much easier, I could even retire early.”

“How young is that for an elf?”

“I don’t know, as soon as possible, I’m not made for this work thing. That’s why I sold you that other Inn, that’s simply too much of a headache for me.”

“By how much work I have to do to put that pce in a decent condition, you weren’t to work there at all.”

“Ah, give me a break, of course not, that pce was forever to be doomed, It’s too far away from everything, I even asked if you were sure about getting that pce.”

“Don’t worry about it, I’ve only got it because I won’t be taxed there nearly as much. And I legally won’t have to worry about the stupid shenanigans coming from the high up from the capital, talking to them for just a few minutes makes me want to puke.”

“And you are their hero, just imagine if you were a commoner.”

“I don’t have to imagine, the first time I’ve appeared in this pce with Vyra, an unregistered sve, they made sure that I’d develop a migraine till the end of times.”

“Oh yeah, I remember that, that’s when we meet.”

It’s true, it’s been a while since I've met her, the system forced me to capture all the sves I get, so unfortunately just letting them go still is not an option. Thanks to Vanessa, she covered the first fines, so I could keep my journey, of course it took a bit of convincing that I wasn't from this pce but with enough time she started believing me.

“Since you are still in debt with me, are you letting me sleep with him for free?” Vanessa was still as snarky as ever, something's never change.

“I will think about it when we have more time avaible. Right now we have to rush for the Capital.”

I could see both Vyra and Elin in different pces of the tavern, Vyra, was way more social than Elin, so she was used to drinking a bit a trying to get as much information as possible.

Elin, in the other side, keeps her rough posture, just drinking a gss of orange juice. I was quite lucky to have girls as reliable as them at my side.

I would come to Elin, saying.

“I’m going to rest now, I’ve been traveling for the st few days non-stop, and I had to hear the stupid Capital council for way longer than I should. Make sure nothing bad happens to Kael. Since you are an elf, that shouldn’t be too difficult.”

“Don’t worry Miria I will handle it.”

  “Thanks.”

Going up the stairs I would pick the other door at the end of the corridor, it wasn’t as fancy as that other, but it was still comfortable enough for the night, it had 3 rge beds spread around the rge room, it was probably made for a group of nobles traveling.

  None of that matters now.

I’d slowly drop my leather vest and slowly take my pants off, staying with only my underwear. In truth, I still haven’t gotten used to my body being a bit taller than my old one, it feels so weird.

Laying on the bed, I stare at the window where I saw the bright mom illuminating the rest of the pce as I slowly fall into a deep slumber.

  … … ...

  … ...

  ...

  *Early in the morning.*

I’d woken up raising my hands high and checking around for my clothes to see if they were at the same pce I’d let them yesterday.

Also, those beds are much better than the ones I have in the Flying Duck, I should invest in new ones.

  *Opens System*

It seems they have slept. His health points are still at intact, but for some reason his entire Mana Bar is depleted.

Just like the time he id with Vyra and Elin.

I might have to look into that ter. Just like me, he has the potential to receive a different css from the others.

Still strange that I found another person that is not from his pce. I wonder if he’s from Earth or a simir pce?

I don’t know if I should mention this to Kael, I don’t want to sound like a mad woman to him, especially since my introduction wasn’t the best.

Maybe because I was so focused on finishing this.

Since I got here, I never cared about those people around me, to me are all NPCs in a video games. I just wanted to come back to Earth.

Fuck, I shouldn’t be thinking about it, from the time I set foot on this accursed nd I made a promise that I would go back home by any means. Whatever happens to him when I’m gone is not my problem.

  … … …

  … …

  …

Early in the morning, I’ve woken up, quickly putting my leather jacket on while I see Elin and Vyra on separated beds.

Vyra on a deep slumber, and Elin meditating, before going to sleep I’ve asked her to pay attention to the Lamia’s room, just in case anything out of the usual happens. It’s extremely useful to have an elf in your party for situations like that.

Nevertheless, I have to check in
