Ko A-young opened her eyes, waking on a bed and scanning the room, unable to recall why she was there. Minutes later, Gamamusa entered. Rubbing her eyes, she sat up slowly. “…You’re Jung-pil, right? How’d you get so big?” Gamamusa offered her herbal tea. “…Your memories reset to when you were 11. You’re 19 now. They’ll come back slowly, so drink this.” Sipping the tea, Ko A-young sighed. “…What am I doing? I remember lying on an operating table.”
Gamamusa smiled warmly. “…Your memory’s returning. Don’t worry, it’s temporary. For 19 hours, you processed global data in real-time. You held up well until you saw Jae-seob in prison and had a breakdown, so we removed the God Brain chip.” Ko A-young stared at him. He held up a tiny, blood-stained chip with tweezers. “…Put that disgusting thing down. It’s gross,” she said, looking nauseated and bowing her head.
She sat dazed, staring ahead. Gamamusa sat beside her. “…What’s wrong? Remember someone?” Ko A-young turned. “…The girl in my dream—who was she?” Gamamusa, expecting the question, took her hand. “…That’s your childhood memory. You had a twin sister at birth. You were separated, but you crossed paths once at an orphanage when you were five.” Ko A-young frowned. “…I had a sister? I don’t remember… I feel guilty somehow.”
Gamamusa brewed two more cups of herbal tea, handing her one and sipping his own. “…Soon, memories will flood back. I removed the traumatic ones, so don’t worry.” Ko A-young looked puzzled. “…You used me as a guinea pig? Unexpected. I heard you’re a high-risk sociopath, but I didn’t think you’d do such a dangerous experiment on me. So, am I getting secret North Korean intel now?” Gamamusa shook his head. “The data in your brain comes from North Korea’s servers. They know that, so no classified info should leak.” Ko A-young spat her tea in his face. “Pfft!”

Kim Dae-hyun, wrapped in a blanket, sipped herbal tea, glaring at Gamamusa and Ko A-young with bloodshot eyes. Creak… The door opened. Jang Cheol-dae entered, glancing at Kim Dae-hyun, who looked startled. “…You locked me up here? What’re you planning?” Jang ignored him, whispered to Gamamusa, who nodded. “…Take care, sir.” Jang left. Gamamusa turned to Kim Dae-hyun.
“…Jang Cheol-jin’s paralyzed now. Not brain-dead, thankfully, but he’ll likely never move again.” Kim Dae-hyun squinted, then smirked. “…So what? Not my fault he got in an accident. Hated that guy—good riddance, rotting in a hospital.” Gamamusa and Ko A-young stared. Kim Dae-hyun swallowed hard. “…What’d you do to me? How…” Gamamusa cut him off. “…I know you’re confused, Dae-hyun. You’ve never met us, yet you feel like you’ve known us forever, even if you can’t recall why.”
Kim Dae-hyun’s confusion deepened. Gamamusa handed him tea. “…I implanted memories of us in you. I erased them temporarily, but drink this, rest a few minutes, and they’ll return.” Kim Dae-hyun eyed the tea warily, then chugged it. Cold sweat dripped down his back as new memories flooded his brain. Screaming, he collapsed.
