Jason and the ladies finished breakfast. Jenna used a Brewing Token, and Sandy used a Planting Token. Both disappeared in a flash of white light inside the RV.
The RV continued down the highway, searching for chests.
Gas was the last thing Jason worried about. He drove without holding back, scouring the roads for resources.
Not ten minutes later, they spotted a Bronze Chest.
Five Goblins stood guard, waving wooden clubs and daggers, screeching at the RV.
"Five Goblins! Ellie, Lily, you gotta be careful," Chloe said, her voice tight with concern.
Chloe wasn't worried about Chloe and Kira, but Ellie and Lily were still a little green. She couldn't help but give them a warning.
But the four women weren't phased, a spark of anticipation in their eyes.
Kira chuckled, patting Chloe on the head. "Relax, we'll be careful."
"Yeah, I'm totally gonna take down a Goblin this time," Lily declared, holding her shield in her left hand and her knife in the right.
Ellie pulled out her Flintlock Pistol and patted Lily on the shoulder. "Hehe, don't worry, I'll blast those Goblins to bits. They won't even get close."
Lily glared at Ellie, ready to retort, "You—"
"Alright, alright," Chloe interrupted. "What Joy said, don't get cocky. And watch out for their last-ditch attacks."
Jason had repeatedly warned them about the Goblin's tendency to lash out when they were about to die. Chloe wasn't about to let one of her sisters get hurt because of carelessness.
"Okay, okay…" Ellie and Lily nodded in unison.
When Chloe spoke, they listened.
And Kira, their second-in-command, commanded just as much respect.
The two women had become Jason's right-hand women, helping him manage the entire RV.
Meanwhile, Jason sat on the couch, helping Tiffany sell items. When he heard it was five Goblins guarding a Bronze Chest, he wasn't worried.
He'd already gotten the four ladies up to D-Rank.
Right after breakfast, Jason had given them two D-Rank Attribute Orbs each, costing him 80 Favor Points.
Chloe, Ellie, and Lily had upgraded their Speed and Strength attributes to D-, making them stronger than ordinary Goblins.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Kira had boosted her D- Speed to a full D, making her even more deadly.
If they couldn't take down five Goblins with that kind of power, Jason might have to rethink training them.
Chloe quickly laid out a plan, and the four women grabbed their weapons and headed out to grab the chest.
Joy stayed at the RV window, watching them nervously.
With a few loud bangs, the four women were in the thick of it, and within ten seconds, the fight was over.
It was a one-sided slaughter.
Ellie provided covering fire with her Flintlock Pistol from a distance, sending the Goblins into a frenzy of pain, killing one outright.
Then, Chloe and the others charged in, easily finishing off the injured Goblins.
"Wow, they're amazing…" Joy gasped, her hands over her mouth, then grinned.
The stronger Chloe and the others were, the safer she'd be in the RV.
Soon, the ladies came back to the RV with the loot from the chest.
The Bronze Chest had some good stuff: a set of seasonings, including oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar.
Jason saw that the women were unharmed and praised them.
Jason's praise was a huge motivator, making them even more eager to grab the next chest.
The RV kept moving, searching for more chests, and the ladies kept getting out to fight.
Jason was living the good life, occasionally using Shadow Doppelganger to practice multitasking, but mostly chilling on the bed, helping Tiffany sell items.
Chloe and the others were gaining more and more battle experience.
Chloe and Kira were honing their spear thrusts, focusing on speed, accuracy, and lethality.
Ellie's accuracy with the Flintlock Pistol was improving, thanks to her unlimited ammo. Using Goblins as target practice, she was learning the ins and outs of shooting.
Lily was developing into a front-line fighter.
Despite her petite frame, she could use her shield to protect most of her body, providing a solid sense of security.
In combat, she was brave enough to charge Goblin formations, drawing enemy attacks and creating openings for Chloe and the others.
The four-woman team had no trouble taking down wooden and bronze chests.
But other groups and bus drivers weren't having such an easy time with the chests.
Wooden chests were fine, with only one Goblin or beast guarding them.
But the Bronze Chests were guarded by four or five Goblins, making it tough for weaker groups, sometimes leading to injuries or worse.
The group chat was filled with complaints about how hard it was to get Bronze Chests.
Everyone had also noticed that food drops had decreased, with wooden chests often only containing Escape Coins.
But the quality of items from the Bronze Chests had improved.
Some had found six E-Rank Attribute Orbs, others had gotten high-yield seeds, special items, 1-Star equipment, and other useful resources.
So, even though Bronze Chests were tough to get, the chance of finding good stuff was much higher.
That's why groups were using every trick they knew to fight for them.
Somewhere along the highway…
A strange-looking SUV was parked, and some figures were running across the Wasteland.
Among them were twins Stella and Selena, along with their mother.
Each of them was being chased by a Goblin.
Luckily, their boots boosted their speed to E+, keeping the Goblins from catching up.
Near the chest, Arthur released an almost invisible Wind Blade, killing one Goblin. Then, he used a machete to help his son fight another Goblin.
Working together, the father and son quickly finished off the Goblin.
Then, Arthur went to open the chest, and Hugo called his mother and sisters back to the highway. The family of five returned to the road, panting for breath. The remaining three Goblins screamed in frustration from the Wasteland.
"Dad, thank goodness we traded for these boots last night. Otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to take down the Bronze Chest so easily," Stella said, her chest heaving as she tried to catch her breath.
This was the first time she and her mother had helped fight for a chest since getting the boots. It was pretty exciting.
Hugo shrugged, holding a wooden spear. "If you gave me some time, I could've used Wind Blade to kill those Goblins one by one. You and Mom shouldn't risk it next time."
In Hugo's opinion, even though his sisters and mother had helped take down the Bronze Chest, he didn't want them to take any more risks.
