Chapter 24

Using his connections, Eonis Pavilion is able to gain the loyalty of prostitutes through various methods. He has always used such schemes to gain benefits, those who reject his proposals will lose his favor.

"I will return in the coming weeks. By then, the preparations will have progressed."

The woman only smiles to bid him farewell.

Upon leaving, he ughs cheerfully. "Hahaha, it's fun to py with these women. They are all willingly ready to do anything for me."

  Of course, there are exceptions.

"That bitch! Do you dare to humiliate me, Eonis Pavilion? I only wanted your dragon horns and tail, you should have given them to me when you could!"

He brought all the necessary tools to pierce the tough yer of dragon horns, along with some gifts to bribe that woman. The result? The damned bitch set him up in an ambush!

“If it weren’t for that pill, that bitch would have killed me!”

To this day, the side effects of the Furious Blood pill persist. He feels weak, sometimes dizzy, the pill's description said that the fatigue would st for the next few hours after its completion, but it has been days and the effects still linger.

“At the next auction, I will buy a pill that permanently improves my physical condition. The side effects must persist because my body has lost training, as I level up some more I will return to my best form.”

His only regret is that he will not see that bitch again, his chance to get the horns, meat, and blood of a dragon have almost completely disappeared. The other dragon race prostitutes are far from matching her lineage, inferior css materials are useless to him.

  “Coldness Divine, that bitch…”

“Oh? So it must be you, huh.”

He was taken by surprise when a man suddenly appeared in front of him. Given that the side effects still persist, his detection abilities are impaired.

“How dare you speak to me--?!”

“If it were someone else and under different circumstances, I wouldn’t dare do so, I assure you, but…”

The man begins to ugh maniacally.

“You lost your ability to control mana, haven’t you?”

‘This man is after my life! I must--!’

Eonis Pavilion retreats with all his might, but the man is even faster. In just an instant, he is in front of him, his weapon glowing intensely. A real sword! But how?! Even he himself cannot bring weapons to this pce!

“Don’t underestimate me! I have over a hundred levels on you!”

Even the most basic of magics can damage a lower-level hunter, Eonis Pavilion is sure he can dodge his attack and then call for reinforcements, it's just a matter of time--

  “What?! My magic!”

His mana does not react as expected, internal injuries occur in his body.

  “No! Stop!”

But the man does not stop. Eonis Pavilion blocks with his arms, but the sword pierces them and causes lethal damage to his internal organs. He wants to expel the blood, but he is drawn by a strange magic to his back. Terror appears in his eyes as he looks toward that rift.

Only now can he understand that the initial attack was just a means to send him towards an even worse attack, one that will destroy him without leaving evidence!

Eonis Pavilion closes his eyes and clenches his teeth, but the expected damage does not occur.

He opens his eyes and looks around. “Teleportation magic?”

The environment changes drastically, from a path next to the forest to the courtyard of a mansion.

“You, you’re with him, right?! I’ll pay you much more than what they offered you!”

A beautiful woman with a long jet-bck braid points her sword at him, at the same time a magic formation of restraint prevents him from moving his body.

The woman smiles with contempt in her gaze.

"This is just the beginning. Everyone will die just like you, no one will be able to remember my past."

  “No! Please! I’ll do anything--!”

The sword mercilessly cuts off his right arm.

  “AAAAGH!”

His suffering is far from over.

  +++

  “Did he do that? Why?”

Sky Petal leans against a tree while talking to herself.

“It’s a risky move, I didn’t think he was that kind of man.”

She nods and continues talking to herself. Until she stops leaning on the tree and stares in one direction, knowing someone is about to arrive.

“Sky Petal, I will keep my promise, I hope you will keep yours too.”

Lawrence steps down from his sword and throws it into a Dimensional Rift. The worst is over, there is no need to keep a real weapon in this subspace any longer.

"What you desire from me is something I don't mind giving you, I only wish for you to keep your word so I no longer have to hear the ment of the flora of this small world."

The pnts once warned her, but it was too te.

He caresses a pnt and says: "Before sending you to the Inferior pne, answer me something. Can pnts communicate with the outside?"

"No, they are limited to this sub-space."

Due to this reason, she did not discover in advance what a sub-space meant.

"Even so, the flora from outside should have warned you that something strange was happening here, right? The dao protectors must have talked among themselves about this on more than one occasion."

"I am a friend of the pnts, but they never take the initiative to speak to me. If I don't explicitly ask, they won't infer what I'm truly seeking. Only when I set foot in this pce could I hear their ment..."

Lawrence still doesn't buy this story, but the problem won't be solved here, it will be that woman who will infer her true thoughts.

Lawrence sighs and then extends his hand. “Your hand.”

Sky Petal smiles, she knows what is about to happen next.

“From today onwards, you are mine.”

Lawrence pces a ring on her left ring finger, a ring that will only fall if he dies or she herself is the one to do it. Until then, it will switch fingers if the ring finger is cut and will return to this one if it is regenerated.

“Aren’t you going to put a ring on your finger?”

With a smile on his face, Lawrence shakes his head. “You are mine, but I belong to no one.”

  “I see…”

Her response causes him perplexity, no woman would so easily accept this kind of retionship.

He narrows his eyes in response. “Is that all?”

“Yes, now I understand the kind of retionship you want. I will make sure not to interfere in your decisions, Lawrence.”

‘Tsk, such a simple woman? So naive? Ha!’ Lawrence feels enraged at still not knowing how to deal with this woman, nothing is simple in this life, there is always the other side of the coin.

A dimensional rift opens behind him, and Sky Petal smiles joyfully.

"Serene Will will be waiting for you on the other side. I still have an alibi to secure in this pce, until then, you must obey her."

Sky Petal blinks curiously and then caresses Lawrence's hand.

“I’m being sincere, you don’t have to worry.”

  “…”

  “Thank you, Lawrence, goodbye.”

She walks backwards without taking her eyes off him, then smiles and turns around. Sky Petal crosses the Dimensional Rift, leaving Lawrence alone in the pce.

“Tsk, until the end I don’t know what she’s thinking. Tell me! Am I the only stupid one here or is she?”

He extends his arms and shouts hoping for an answer from the pnts, but he does not have the ability to talk to them, his shout echoes reaching no one’s ears.

After looking around, he mounts his bamboo sword and takes off.

  +++

"What the hell? And Sky Petal? Where is she?"

The client searches every corner of the house but cannot find his target.

Angry, he heads to the administration to ask for his money back. Not only do they do it, but they also give him a free pass to sleep with a prostitute of simir characteristics. The Unquenchable Fire Brothel lives up to its name, thinking of the customer, without knowing that he is the first to notice Sky Petal’s disappearance.

A search order is quickly sent to the guards.

"Still haven't found her? What could have happened?"

Hours pass until they discover the oddity of the situation.

  "Did she disappear?"

"The correct term is, she's not in this pce. Are you sure this is the right pce?"

"Y- Yes, the magic has never failed."

More experts arrive at the scene, but the results are not encouraging.

  "Sir!"

  "Did you find her?"

"N- No, I must report that there's another disappearance."

"This time a client disappeared?! Damn, this is no coincidence. Investigate Eonis Pavilion! He must be responsible for all this!"

Two disappearances on the same day? No, Eonis Pavilion must have something to do with this!

Dozens of hunters head to Agares City, searching all of Eonis Pavilion's residences, both public and private. In the process, they interrogate many of his servants, but only useless information comes out of their mouths.

“What is happening? Surveilnce is formidable unlike other days.”

The work shift for many dao protectors ends and they immediately sense the strange atmosphere surrounding them. None dare make a joke about it, the gaze of the guards is so sharp it could cim the life of anyone who seems suspicious.

Some of the workers are captured and separated from the rest, causing fear in the surroundings.

  “Hey, you. Your name?”

‘Damn it, do you have something against me? Of all the dao protectors this damn guard picks me! This guy must have luck that defies the heavens, the first one he picks, turns out to be the real criminal!’

  “Lawrence”

Everything was going well, until he is separated from the rest and forced to answer routine questions. A bad answer or a discourteous expression, and he could be unjustly implicated!

“Your storage ring, hand it over.”

‘Shit, shit. I sent all the evidence to the Lower Pne, right? Right?!’

  “Quick!”

With a calm look, Lawrence watches as the guard analyzes his storage ring, but inside he was the opposite.

Then a serious look appears on the guard’s face. “All in order, you can go.”

Unseen by anyone, Lawrence sighs and continues his way.

Only after leaving the subspace does he realize something.

“I'm missing a thousand gold coins! He chose me to rob me!”

That stupid guard was in front of the criminal, but fate wanted a thousand gold coins to tempt him and divert him from the truth.

“Hah… but thinking about it, a thousand gold is an insignificant price to pay. My name has been registered by that guard, the chances of them thinking of me as the perpetrator of the crime have completely disappeared.”

Not even a drop of blood was shed, no clue leads to him.

"It's time to discover the true intentions of that flower girl."

As the underground city of Agares is in a state of chaos, the real criminal escapes from their clutches with a smile on his face.
