Episode 71: Breaking News! The Brawlers TV Adventure!!

[Scene 1 – Arrival in Yorkie City]

The brawlers make their way into Yorkie City (サリバ市, Sariba Ichi), a bustling metropolis known for its tall buildings, busy streets, and cutting-edge technology. The sun is high, and the group is excited to explore yet another vibrant city on their journey.

  Shauna (excited):

“Yorkie City looks amazing! I can’t wait to check out the shops here!”

  Sakuro (serious as always):

“Let’s stay focused. We’re here for the next medal, remember?”

Kouchu, still distracted by the shiny cityscape, nods absentmindedly.

  Kouchu (dreamily):

“Yeah, yeah… but I heard there’s a cool theme park here too!”

Before the group can go too far, a loud voice calls out to them from across the street.

  Casey (excited, waving):

“Hey, over here! You’re the Crystal Brawlers, right?!”

Kouchu and the others turn to see two siblings, Casey and Corey, both dressed in bright TV studio outfits. They’re grinning widely and waving energetically.

  Corey (with a camera):

“You guys are on TV today, right? We’re from Aiou News, and we’d love to get an interview!”

  [Scene 2 – Interview Time]

The brawlers are led to a nearby outdoor studio set, where Casey and Corey, the news anchor siblings, eagerly set up their cameras. They’re both professional but have a laid-back, friendly vibe that makes the brawlers feel at ease.

  Casey (excited):

“Alright, we’ve heard all about your adventures. Today’s news story is all about inspiring heroes, and we think you’re perfect for it!”

  Corey (grinning):

“We want to feature you guys on Aiou News! You’ve been all over the Crystal World, helping out and solving problems. The viewers will love you!”

Kouchu’s eyes light up as he thinks about the possibility of being on TV.

  Kouchu (excitedly):

“Wait, really? We get to be on TV?! This is awesome!”

  Roaracryst (nodding in agreement):

“Yeah, this is gonna be great!”

The brawlers strike poses, and the camera crew gets footage of their heroic faces. The siblings even ask for a short interview with each of them.

  Shauna (smiling):

“We’re just doing what we can to help. But it’s nice to know people are noticing!”

  Sakuro (stoic, but proud):

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

“We’re ready to face whatever comes next.”

[Scene 3 – The Satellite Mishap]

After the interview, Corey and Casey excitedly tell the brawlers they have a special task for them. The news station needs the satellite dish to be properly maintained, and they’d love for the Crystal Brawlers to help. Naturally, the team agrees, eager to prove they’re capable of more than just solving mysteries and battling bad guys.

Corey (pointing to the dish on top of the building):

“It’s a simple job, really. Just make sure the satellite is good to go. We can’t risk losing the signal.”

  Casey (grinning):

“Make sure you don’t break anything, okay?”

Kouchu and Roaracryst are especially excited about the task, while Shauna and Sakuro are more reserved. Still, the team gets to work, climbing up the roof and getting to the satellite.

As the storm clouds begin to roll in, the brawlers try to keep everything in check. However, Kouchu’s enthusiasm gets the best of him, and as he carelessly moves a few things around, a lightning strike hits the satellite dish, causing it to short-circuit and crash down.

  Kouchu (panicked):

“No, no, no! This is bad! The satellite’s destroyed!”

  Shauna (shocked):

“How could you let this happen?!”

The storm worsens, rain pouring down as the satellite dish is now in pieces. The brawlers stand in shock, knowing they’ve got to fix it fast or they’ll disappoint Casey and Corey.

[Scene 4 – The Repair Effort]

The brawlers quickly assess the situation. Kouchu, feeling guilty, turns to his friends for help.

  Kouchu (determined):

“We have to fix this! We can’t let them down!”

  Sakuro (calm):

“Focus, Kouchu. We need a plan. I’ll search the area for anything useful.”

As Sakuro searches, the rest of the team figures out how they can help. Plantmore uses its powerful leaves and sap to form a makeshift base for the satellite. Mouselette activates its rainbow powers to create a strong, colorful barrier to protect the fragile components. Roaracryst uses its web-spinning abilities to hold together the broken parts, weaving them into a sturdy structure.

  Roaracryst (focused):

“This will hold… just a bit longer.”

Kouchu looks around, trying to come up with the finishing touch.

  Kouchu (bright idea):

“Wait, I’ve got it! Ninecoat’s melting glue should be able to bond the pieces together!”

They all work together, with Ninecoat using its heat-based powers to melt the glue and hold the pieces in place. Slowly, the satellite starts to resemble its original form.

  [Scene 5 – A Job Well Done]

After a lot of teamwork and determination, the brawlers finally manage to get the satellite back together. The storm has passed, and the sky clears up, allowing the satellite to work properly once again. Corey and Casey, who had been watching the whole time, are visibly relieved.

  Corey (smiling widely):

“Wow, you guys actually did it! I’m impressed!”

  Casey (giving a thumbs-up):

“That’s some real teamwork right there! You didn’t give up even when it seemed impossible.”

  Kouchu (grinning sheepishly):

“We might’ve broken it, but we fixed it together!”

  Shauna (laughing):

  “That’s what matters, right?”

Casey and Corey thank the brawlers profusely, offering them a chance to be featured on the evening news again, this time for their impressive teamwork in fixing the satellite.

  Corey:

“You’re heroes on TV today, no doubt about it. Thanks again for all your help!”

[Scene 6 – The Brawlers on TV Again]

The brawlers are back in front of the camera, this time standing proudly with the satellite behind them. Their faces beam with pride as they’re broadcasted live on Aiou News, their heroic efforts highlighted for everyone to see.

  Casey (on TV):

“Here in Yorkie City, the Crystal Brawlers have proven that even when faced with a seemingly impossible task, teamwork and determination can overcome any obstacle. We applaud their bravery and resilience.”

The brawlers wave at the camera, their faces filled with joy as they realize they’ve made a real difference.

  Kouchu (laughing, to the camera):

“It was a close call, but we got it done! Heroes, right?”

The segment ends with the brawlers laughing together, feeling accomplished and ready for whatever comes next.
