89 - Seans Back A Party Gone Wild

The whole of Blackwater was in an uproar again early the next morning.

A large number of police cars and Pinkertons once again blockaded the town and streets, starting a new round of investigations.

Seeing this scene, Stephen naturally understood that Arthur and the others had succeeded.

Since that was the case, there was no need for him to stay in Blackwater any longer. Stephen sauntered to the stable, took his and Charles's horses, and prepared to return to Horseshoe Overlook.

But it wasn't so easy to get out of Blackwater at this time.

Along the way, Stephen encountered at least five or six waves of checks – police, Pinkertons, and furious bounty hunters one after another.

The police and Pinkertons were alright; these guys could restrain themselves. But those bounty hunters were a bit out of control.

The fat sheep they had in their grasp was gone just like that, and two of their men had died. This made them a little crazy.

More than a dozen bounty hunters were entrenched at the town entrance, constantly checking anyone who wanted to enter or leave, even to the point of wanting to kill innocent people to claim credit.

When they saw the fully armed Stephen, they immediately became alert.

Several people pointed their guns directly at Stephen, wanting to disarm him first.

Fortunately, the pass Sheriff Sam from Strawberry had signed was too reliable, and those bounty hunters couldn't do anything to Stephen.

They had to wave him away impatiently, signaling him to get lost.

Stephen looked at these exasperated bounty hunters, shook his head in disdain, then tugged on the reins and galloped north.

It was almost noon now. If he wasn't mistaken, Arthur and the others should already be on their way back.

Stephen looked at the pass in his hand and couldn't help but sigh. He really had to thank Sheriff Sam this time.

But Stephen didn't plan to go back just yet. He had to go back to Horseshoe Overlook first.

Following the main road across Upper Montana River, and then past Riggs Station, Stephen happened to see four people walking slowly along a small path.

Hearing the sound of hooves behind them, the four quickly turned around and became vigilant. When they saw it was Stephen, they all smiled.

"Hey kid, looks like your injuries are alright."

Arthur looked at the vigorous Stephen and said with a smile.

  Stolen story; please report.

Stephen first handed Thelma's reins to Charles. He could tell that this guy couldn't wait to return to his owner's side.

He looked at the red-haired young man sitting on Arthur's horse with a smile: "Looks like you rescued the person you wanted to rescue."

"Of course, but that means there will be one more babbling guy in our camp."

Arthur said with some helplessness, "This guy's mouth just won't stop. I think he should be with Trelawny instead of us."

Stephen looked at the somewhat tearful Arthur, knowing that his ears had suffered a lot along the way.

"Hey, maybe you should introduce me to this gentleman. Looks like a lot of interesting things happened while I was captured."

The red-haired young man, Sean, was very nonchalant. He said to Stephen in an exaggerated manner: "My name is Sean MacGuire, the Van der Linde gang's first... uh, second only to this Arthur Morgan... gunslinger."

"Shut up," Arthur impatiently interrupted Sean's boastful words, and said to Stephen with a headache, "You see, this is the guy we had to save."

"Even if you saved me, you can't stop me from speaking. This is a free country."

"I know, you're jealous of me, afraid I'll catch up to you..."

Sean had finally found an opportunity to talk, and he started to bombard Arthur crazily.

"Looks like their relationship is quite good."

Stephen couldn't help but laugh as he looked at Arthur clutching his head. He looked at Javier, who was shaking his head beside him, and said teasingly.

"Of course, the Van der Linde gang's second only to Arthur Morgan gunslinger, hahaha!!"

Javier was also about to lose it, laughing loudly after hearing Stephen's words.

Charles was the same, covering his mouth and laughing very happily.

"Ah! Stop talking nonsense, let's go back quickly, I don't want to be chased by the police or anything."

Arthur couldn't stand being annoyed by Sean any longer. After yelling loudly, he directly spurred his horse and ran towards the camp.

Sean wasn't so easy to let him go. This guy sat behind Arthur, constantly chattering. Arthur couldn't help but want to throw this guy off the horse.

Stephen and the others couldn't help but burst into laughter as they watched this pair of treasures. Suddenly, the surrounding area was filled with pleasant air.

Under Sean's incessant words, the group of five returned to Horseshoe Overlook non-stop.

Sean received a warm welcome from everyone after returning to Horseshoe Overlook.

When Dutch learned that he had been captured for so long, but hadn't revealed any information to those bounty hunters, he praised him even more.

He kept patting Sean on the shoulder, praising him greatly.

He quickly called Pearson and Ms. Grimshaw, wanting to hold a grand party in the camp to welcome Sean's return.

This made Sean even more excited. He immediately took a bottle of beer, stood on the table in the middle of the camp, and told the people in the camp about his experiences during the time he was captured.

First, he fought bravely, killing so many people. Finally, he ran out of ammunition and was captured.

After being captured, he withstood the torture of those bounty hunters and the temptation of beauties and money, even wanting to die to repay Dutch.

Looking at his radiant appearance, Stephen couldn't help but join in the fun.

This guy was really a treasure.

With Sean around, the party started off in full swing.

This guy was like a madman. No matter who toasted him, he would drink it all in one gulp.

Stephen watched this guy getting drunk in a short while and decided not to harm people.

But even if Stephen didn't harm him, he insisted on coming over.

He grabbed two bottles of high-proof whiskey and stuffed them directly into Stephen's hands.

"Stephen, oh... I know everything, hic..."

Sean held the wine bottle, swayed, and put his arm around Stephen's shoulder, saying with a flushed face, "Thank you for everything you've done for me, hic..."

"Hey buddy, you've had too much to drink. You should rest for a while."

Stephen kindly patted him on the back, but he didn't know that these words were like poking a hornet's nest.

Sean shook off Stephen's arm and then shouted loudly.

"I'm not drunk! To thank you, I'll do it!!"

Then, regardless of Stephen's obstruction, he directly raised the wine bottle in his hand and drank it down in one gulp.
