SALIP PULACO'S FORCES
Salip Pulaco: the man with many names. One of the datu (chief) of Opon Matan island. A very influential and wealthy leader known for his prowess in battle. Unpredictable as he is mysterious.
Malaya: daughter of Salip Pulaco, considered by many as one of the most beautiful woman in Opon Matan island and coincidentally the wealthiest maiden too.
Lam-ag Sagpang Baha/ Lam/ Waylander: a wanderer and a good friend of Pulaco. The wielder of the giant curve sword named Rooster's claw. A very proud headhunter from the highlands of Ma-yi. The husband-to-be of Malaya.
Mingming Palao/ Ming: Salip Pulaco's older brother-in-law, leader of the Daragangan (a group of baganis) sworn to protect their chief, their people and the waters of Opon Matan.
Dumog and Sikaran: the twin Daragangan warriors who swore their allegiance to Mingming and Salip Pulaco.
Datu Butod: the corpulent and politically-inclined chieftain and friend of Salip Pulaco. Known for his just and friendly demeanor. Considered as everybody's uncle in Opon Matan.
Datu Sandawili/ The Black Spear: another chieftain known for her fighting prowess. During a contest of strength, she bested Salip Pulaco and most chieftain in their region. A competent but lazy leader. Considered as one of the bravest bagani, but is also impulsive to fault.
MAGALHAES' FORCES or The crew of NAO TRINIDAD, CONCEPCION, and VICTORIA
Captain General Fernao' de Magalhaes: an impatient Portuguese captain of a small fleet looking to replenish their supplies and continue on with their journey to glory and legacy. He sails the ship called Nao Trinida.
Enrico Mallaca: Magalhaes' translator and long indentured slave.
Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings.
Sergeant Diogo Mortez: Magalhaes' Spanish sycophant, an old pot-bellied sergeant. Seen as ungentlemanly annoying by most of the crew. He is the leader of the soldiers whose duty is to protect Magalhaes' crew.
Antonio Pigafetta: Magalhaes' sickly chronicler. In Sergeant Mortez' opinion "a whiney coward who just wants to go home to his mother".
Captain Duarte Barboza: a replacement captain of the ship Victoria. A disgusting animal who likes to dress like a man, whose only redeeming quality is being a brilliant and ruthless killer. He is also Magalhaes' brother-in-law.
Sebastian Delcano: Captain Barboza's second in command, a fine pilot and an ambitious gentleman who likes to keep grudges (It's always the silent ones).
THE SULTAN'S FACTION
Sultan Ul Zain Ali-Abbedin/ Silver Sultan: Sultan of Pu-Lilo, who originally came from Borneo. He wants to expand his territories in the north of the Greater Archipelago and have his revenge against Pulaco after being repelled time and time again.
Alahamid Ibn Surrac al Hassan/ The Emissary: Lieutenant of the famed scouts of the Magalos (Destroyers) warriors.
