Chapter 6

I arrived at the training grounds with my master. He summoned a massive dragon—the kind that once made me freeze in fear when I was just a child.

“This time, kill it within thirty seconds,” he said, as if it was the easiest thing in the world.

Back then, I couldn't even breathe in front of this beast. Now? I can kill it easily. But thirty seconds? That’s pushing it.

Well... whatever. Let’s get this over with. I don’t want to be late for Rhea’s exam.

  Haaah... haaaah...

Living across different universes at the same time is exhausting. Not physically—I can’t feel fatigue. I’m emotionless, after all. But mentally, I can still recognize how hellish this lifestyle is. Any other god would have vomited halfway through my daily routine.

This training? It isn’t made for normal people. Not even for so-called “talented” gods. I’m the only one who can survive it.

Am I bragging? No. I’ve never said these things to show off. Just... stating facts.

Anyway, enough of this. Let’s move to the next stage before I’m late.

  ---

I arrived at Rhea’s academy just in time.

I bent down and gently told her, “Be confident in yourself. You can do anything, Rhea. Even reach the realms of light and darkness people believe are impossible. Just stay focused and positive.”

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

  She nodded quietly.

“All the best. Don’t let anyone distract you. Just do your best in there.”

With that, she went in. I waited outside the academy for two hours. But no one came out.

I looked around. Still silence. I turned to a man nearby and asked, “Excuse me… is the exam still ongoing? Or has something gone wrong?”

He shrugged. “Who knows? Maybe the exam got delayed. Or maybe... someone was hired to kill the examiners and students inside.”

I froze. “What… what did you say?”

“Relax,” he grinned. “But yeah, one of them is going to die. Your sister, maybe? Rhea?”

My blood ran cold. “What did you just say?”

“Haha, bingo! That’s why they call you the smartest in this ‘universal,’ right?”

Universal? What is he talking about? And why Rhea?

I immediately reached for the bracelet my father gave me—my emergency link to him. But the man was faster. He snatched it away before I could activate it.

“Not so fast,” he grinned. “You think you can call Daddy? You’ll die here today too, Thor’s sister. Selene, right?”

He lunged at me with a knife. I barely rolled my wheelchair back in time to dodge the strike. My heart was racing, not out of fear, but rage.

“You think you can harm Rhea? I won’t let you!”

I surged forward, but he caught me—chair and all—and threw me several yards across the pavement.

“AAAH—ugh!” Pain shot through my body. My spine, my arms—everything hurt.

He walked toward me, laughing, a knife in hand.

“Well, well… isn’t it funny? Thor’s sisters—one mute, one crippled. And he himself? The weakest god I’ve ever seen.”

“You’re wrong,” I gasped. “Thor… Thor has never once complained about us. He’s proud of us. He’s kind. Far more of a man than you’ll ever be. You’re just a sick, twisted monster playing with people’s lives.”

“Really?” he sneered. “You think you’re safe because you’re beautiful? Because you smell good?”

He leaned in, sniffed the air, and whispered in a sick voice, “I’ve tasted plenty of girls. I wonder how you will taste.”

He let go and walked toward the academy.

  No. No, no, no…

I reached for the bracelet. Broken.

Dammit… I have to warn someone! I have to protect Rhea!

I was panicking, muttering to myself—until I felt a hand on my shoulder.

“Are you okay, sister? What happened?”

  I turned. It was him.

“Thor!” I cried. “That man—he went inside! He wants to kill Rhea! We have to stop him! Please, call Father!”

Thor knelt in front of me, his expression calm.

  “Don’t worry. Rhea won’t die.”

  “But Thor—”

“Because I’m here,” he said softly. “I’ll go inside and stop him. Just wait here.”

He helped me back into my chair, then turned and walked toward the academy.

“Thor… please,” I whispered. “Don’t fight again… not like last time.”

“I’m fine,” he said, giving me a small smile. “Just wait for us.”

As he disappeared into the building, something about his presence gave me peace. I was still scared, but… he looked so sure of himself this time. I just hoped with everything I had that both Thor and Rhea would come out safe.
