It only took a few minutes for Reece and Kalie to shift. They filed into the dining room with a lot of claw-clicking on the hardwood floors.

  She recognized Reece right away as the large black wolf with emerald eyes. She couldn't resist reaching out a hand and running her fingers through his fur. So that meant that the pretty grey wolf with white paws was Kalie. Maddison smiled when the wolf leaned against her hip.

  No one would confuse a shifted werewolf with a real wolf or dog. Maybe a small bear? They were big. Kalie was the smaller of the two, and her spine was even with Maddison's hip. Reece could easily touch his nose to hers without standing on his hind legs and only straining his neck. Which is exactly what he did.

  "Reece!" she said swatting at him half heartedly.

  "Wow! You guys are huge!" laughed Chase, carefully approaching the pair. Even knowing they were friendly didn't make them that much less scarry.

  "Can I touch your fur?" Chase asked Kalie, her being the smaller and less imposing of the two.

  Kalie took a few tentative steps forward and butted her head into Chases out stretched palm. He laughed and scratched her behind the ear, causing her tail to wag.

  "Kalie, you are such a pretty wolf." Maddison sighed, hoping she looked half as beautiful as the pink haired girl did in wolf form. Kalie's tail wagged harder.

  Reece began nudging and rubbing against Maddison's side. When she glared at him, he just wagged his tail and continued what he was doing. What a pest! She reached out and tugged on his silky black ear.

  Reece made a gruff noise and buried his wet nose up her shirt so that it was resting on her belly. His tongue lapped against her skin and she yelped in surprise, causing Greg to laugh.

  "What kind of father laughs when an almost stranger starts licking his daughter's stomach?" Maddison chastised her father. "Just because he looks like an over grown mutt doesn't mean that he is one." She tried to swat Reece again but that simply caused him to nip her.

  Kalie came up and nudged him. Reece pulled his nose out and growled at her, causing her to crouch and pull back her ears. Maddison was about to yell at him, but he bent down and nipped her ruff then licked her muzzle before retuning to sniffing at Maddison.

  Kalie righted herself and wagged her tail, then disappeared out of the room. She came back a few moments later, her pink hair and two legs now fully returned.

  "Don't push him away too much." She said right away. "I think his wolf is more in charge at the moment. It happens sometimes. His wolf wants to check you out, I guess. You two are Call bonded. Its nothing dirty, I promise. He is just familiarizing himself with you."

  "So long as he doesn't start growling at you again..."

  "That? That was nothing. I am a wolf that isn't in his pack. He just had to assert his dominance. Trust me, it can be way worse."

  "He tries that on me he'll have another thing coming." She growled, glaring down at him again.

  Reece looked up at Maddison and woofed, a sound so heavy in base that it was both terrifying and thrilling. Then he sat next to her and allowed Chase and Greg approach.

  "Most Alpha's won't let people pet them you know. I bet you wouldn't let it happen." Kalie laughed, watching Chase and Greg pat Reece.

  "No, I would not like that. Though I'd let you or them do it I think."

  "I bet it wouldn't take any convincing at all to get Reece to rub your belly."

  Reece's head whipped around and he flashed a wolfy grin at Maddison, tail wagging. Men.

  "Nobody is rubbing my belly. He already got to second base with it!"

  Reece woofed again, this time doing an odd pounce that had Chase scrambling out of the way and a chair toppling over. He wiggled his way over to Maddison, then draped himself over her feet like a silly husky.

  She relented and rubbed behind his ear. "Pest..." she said as he simply enjoyed the touch. "You'll have to shift back soon you know? We have a bit of a drive, right?" Reece's only response was a doggy sigh.

  Half an hour later, once Reece took a nap on Maddison's feet as everyone ate pizza, they were on their way to a random hill in the middle of the woods, some place off the highway. Reece said it was traditional to have a naming on a hill.

  "Maddie, can I nap on you next time?" Kalie teased from the back seat of the mustang as they sped down the highway.

  "Sure thing." Maddison smiled at her through the rearview mirror.

  "I'm sorry if I got to pushy..." Reece said as he drove one handed. "My wolf got excited. I'll reign him in better next time."

  "Its okay. I kind of get it... its like our wolves already chose each other right? Now they are hoping we do the same." Maddison said, avoiding his gaze.

  "That's actually a pretty good description..." he said with a tight smile.

  "So what do I have to do when we get there?" she asked, now nervous. "I haven't the faintest idea how to shift."

  "Don't worry, the shift will happen when it feels right." Reece reassured her.

  "But until then I'll be standing naked in front of a couple dozen people?"

  "Ah, yeah. Sorry."

  "I suppose half of them will be sizing me up to see if I'm worth trying to jump my bones in the summer..." she didn't want to admit it, but she was actually very worried for summer.

  "That wont happen."

  "You don't know that..."

  "I do know that, because I will be camped outside your door the whole time. Nobody can beat me. Not even Ryan."

  "Why are you going to be camped outside my door?"

  "Because if I can't have you, I sure as hell won't let anyone else either." He growled. Maddison could hear Kalie trying not to laugh from the back seat.

  "wh-! You can't do that! What if I have a boyfriend by then?"

  "Yeah, don't care. I might be able to handle you having a boyfriend on a regular day- might being the operative word- but during the heat? Hell no. I smell another man on you then I'll skin him."

  "Possessive much! I might have said I understood the whole 'Call Bond thing' but that doesn't mean I'm okay with it. You do not own me!"

  "I know that. But I do not have the self control to promise you I wont kill any other man trying to get in your pants. Not in the summer at the very least."

  "Do you have any idea how insane you sound?"

  "Look, if you find a man you actually think would make a better mate for you then me, then great. But you and he will have to get as far from me as you can to be together."

  "What!? That's unfair."

  "I am just being honest. Would you rather I lie, find some bastards hands on you, and then rip them off?"

  "Kalie! Help me out here!"

  "Well lets put it this way." Kalie said leaning forward so her head was between Maddison and Reece. "If you think he should allow you to mess around with other men, then that means he can run his hands all over some other female."

  Maddison made a choking noise at the back of her throat and had an urge to rip into the dash with her bare hands.

  Kalie laughed. "See? Not nice right?"

  Reece had the biggest shit-eating grin on his face, and she absolutely wanted to punch him in it.

  "Don't worry. No other females for me." He said with his emerald eyes lit up like fire; twin pools of desire. She hated how satisfied she was by his declaration.

  "well then I hope you are okay with never getting laid." She huffed, crossing her arms and glaring out the window.

  "I predict that you will not be able to resist my winning personality and unprecedented animal magnetism for long."

  Maddison turned bright red and turned to glare at him. "You said-!"

  "I said I would never pressure you into doing anything you don't want to do. I never said I wouldn't show you how much I'm good for you. I will not, under any circumstances, try to convince you to sleep with me. I will wait till you come to me!"

  "Of all the cocky, perverted, anyo-!"

  "Being in a pack with you guys is the best thing to ever happen to me!" Kalie said in near hysterical laughter. "You guys are awesome."

  "See, we are awesome." Nodded Reece

  "Ugh! I hate you both right now!"
