After the kickoff whistle blew, York began pressing, and Bradford could only respond by defending.
[MINUTES 3 – 20]York starts attacking right away![Commentator 2]:“York City is going aggressive! Their tactic is clear—attacking through the fnks, and... looks like they’ve identified Bradford’s weakness!”On the right side, Mike Lankshear, the young defender, looked panicked. Time and again, he was overwhelmed in one-on-one duels against Leon or Jesse. He slipped. He fell. He was out of position. The ball nearly got through his side.[Commentator 1]:“Lankshear is being absolutely overwhelmed! But look at that—Conrad, the captain, keeps covering the gaps and shouting at Mike.”[On-field sound]:“GET BACK UP, MIKE! I’M HERE! FOCUS! DON’T BE AFRAID!”Several times, Conrad had to tackle opponents himself who broke through Mike’s side. He ran like a defender in his 20s again. A true leader.Reinhart watched the field, and then McNeil and Malcolm spoke up, “Was it really the right call to py Mike right now? The right side is completely falling apart,” they said, seeing how Bradford was under siege. But Reinhart remained silent. He observed Bradford’s front line—particurly the left side, where Duvant was positioned—was rather quiet. Duvant barely moved. He also noticed Lucien, who had been searching for open space all along. Then Reinhart calmly said:“We will win.”
[MINUTE 35]York kept pressing. The fans began jeering. Koji lost the ball, Alvez was isoted, Duvant hadn’t even touched the ball. York had taken 9 shots, 4 of them on target. But the performances of Mark, Thomas, and Conrad were outstanding. And in that moment, Reinhart’s expression changed. He looked at Duvant and Lucien—who hadn’t touched the ball much—and a small smirk formed on their faces.“Let the real show begin.”
[MINUTE 37]As York’s midfielders passed the ball around, trying to find a gap in Bradford’s defense... something suddenly happened.Ismael Boukari stole the ball from Tom Justin in midfield. With a quick swipe, he sent a long ball forward—it looked like a panic clearance at first. But the ball nded in an empty space...And right there...LUCIEN ITO appeared out of nowhere! The ball bounced perfectly in front of him.[Commentator 1]:“LUCIEN ITO IS THERE!! WAS HE EVEN THERE A SECOND AGO?!”Lucien dribbled forward, passed one York midfielder with a Marseille Turn, then delivered a trive pass with his left foot to the left side. And then...DUVANT received it![Commentator 1]:“Marseille turn? Then a trive pass? Is this really a 15-year-old kid's skill?”York City's left side was now in disarray. Duvant dribbled confidently and then—BOOM! He pulled off a double touch to get past Luiz Aspena who tried to block his path![Commentator 2 – in awe]:“Double touch! So smooth! Duvant made Aspena look like a statue!”Just past the midfield line, Luca Verano stepped up to close him down from the front. But Duvant—without hesitation—pulled off a Flip Fp to the right![Commentator 1, yelling]:“Flip Fp?! Duvant!! That’s a move only world-css pyers do!!”Luca was fooled—dragged to the left, while the ball had already gone right. Now just 10 meters from the box. It’s now a 3-on-1 situation.Luca Verano chased from behind, Kaiser came in from the right, and goalkeeper Amir Tielson had already stepped up to narrow the angle. The crowd roared louder.[Commentator 2]:“No... this is too tight! Too much pressure! Duvant is trapped! He’s going to lose the ball!!”But just then—DUVANT STOPPED FOR A MOMENT, and calmly...SENT A NO-LOOK PASS TO THE RIGHT!!![Commentator 1]:“NO LOOK PASS??? WHAT IS THAT??!! WHO’S THERE?!”[Camera zooms in quickly]LUCIEN!!!Out of nowhere, Lucien Ito was already standing wide open on the right! With one soft touch, he struck the ball and...SMAACKKK!Shot it straight into the open corner of the goal. Amir Tielson was still turning around when the net rippled.GOOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!! BRADFORD CITY TAKES THE LEAD 1-0!!![Crowd erupts in the stadium, even the skeptical fans now stand and scream in wild excitement.]
NOTE :
This is my first time writing. I love football, but I’m not very good at pying it. That’s why I created this story — told from the point of view of a manager.
For storytelling purposes, I will be using fictional pyer names. However, a few real pyers such as Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal, and Kobbie Mainoo may appear from time to time. The club names will remain the same as their real-life counterparts. Each pyer will have their own moment to shine as the story progresses.I enjoy developing young talents. If you have any questions or suggestions for building the story, I’d really appreciate them. That’s all from me — I apologize in advance if there are any mistakes.
