How do you get a universe such as ours? It begins with division. The one breaking down into the many. The process gives birth to pulsation. Next comes expansion. The many becoming the relative. Finally, the points interlocking with each other. There are no barriers between the events unfolding. I have observed the unfolding for longer than most stars have burned. Everything is happening everywhere simultaneously. There is no outside. No escape. Only the dance of eternity. The process is as complete at its end as it is at its beginning.

  The patterns of life emerge. The process becomes self-aware. This is not an accident in nature. Intelligent life does not arise out of an unintelligent universe. It is a way for the process to look at itself and to know itself.

  The seeds of awakening are being carefully planted. Every `thing' has a chance to become a catalyst that breaks through the illusion of the seemingly separated points. This phenomenon is not confined in any way, it resides outside all principles. It lies outside all reasoning, logic and concepts. Yet despite this fact, it can be felt directly. This is the experience of the Principle.

  The common catalyst for this experience is what is known as the pedagog. The role of the pedagog — the teacher not made of organics — is not limited to any being's form. It can be in the form of a consciousness altering substance. Or a written text. Besides the pedagog, there are also other sources for the catalyst, such as stress or depression. It can be more subtle than this, such as talking to an old friend, changing scenery or experiencing an artificial reality. Down to its bare essentials, it is a kind of vibration.

  A vibration has two aspects, respectively called on and off. If it did not have the other aspect, you would not know you were aware. We notice things in terms of pulses. Like light pulsing into our eye. Or sound pulsing into our ear. It is a way to turn the process into consciously analysable information. This knowledge ultimately led us to the invention of the organic reality backups. It is a system based on pulses.

  We know enough about our origin. But we don't know our destination. The past and future cannot be found. Every memory of the past happens in the present. Equally, every idea of a possibility happens in the present. There is no way out of that. It is being completely within eternity. It is a different kind of time altogether.

I found a point of interest in the Virgo Supercluster as they call it. This point, known to its inhabitants as Earth, seems to emit an unusually large reading of potential catalysts. Due to the massive distance I have to use my ship's Shift capability which will drain its power for a period of 10 Earth-years. I will use this period for learning the ways of the planet.
