THROWAWAY BS NON CANON CHAPTER
BACKGROUND-
Returning from Madame Zara
The car was at peace.
Everyone thinking about what the learned.
A quiet, comfortable drive—Sarah at the wheel, Emily in the passenger seat, Thomas in the back, and Daniel somewhere in the blend of it all.
It had been a good day.
It would have stayed a day.
Until, suddenly—it wasn’t.
A smell filled the car.
A foul, horrendous, world-ending smell.
HERE WE GO:
SARAH: GAGGING - "Oh my GOD."
EMILY: RECOILS - "WHAT THE HELL?!"
THOMAS: WINCES - "Oh, that is—that is unnatural."
DANIEL: “OH HELL NO."
And then—Daniel was gone - cut himself off in the dreamscape. GONE.
Completely isolated in the dreamscape.
Locks Emily out.
EMILY: Blinks - "Wait, wait, wait, WAIT—
Sarah: "Okay, which one of you demons did this?!"
EMILY: "DANIEL LOCKED HIMSELF AWAY! I can’t get into the dreamscape!"

Thomas: “WHAT? He can do that?”
EMILY: "Apparently?
SARAH: Desperately rolling down the windows: "Jesus, I cannot believe I have to drive through this."
THOMAS: Gasping - “This is—it’s just—it’s in my mouth."
EMILY: ANGRY - "WAS IT YOU?!"
THOMAS: Offended "ABSOLUTELY NOT."
SARAH: "Then WHO WAS IT?!"
EMILY: "DANNY, GET BACK HERE AND HELP ME!"
DANIEL: "Nope. Nope. Not my problem. I am NOT existing in a world where that happened."
EMILY: "YOU CAN’T JUST LEAVE ME HERE."
DANIEL: "Watch me."
SARAH: increasingly distressed: "Someone in this car is guilty, and I SWEAR TO GOD, I will figure it out."
EMILY: "It was NOT ME."
THOMAS: "It was NOT ME."
SARAH, narrowing her eyes: "It wasn’t me, so THAT MEANS—"
EMILY: "DANNY?"
DANIEL - Quick switch - "Nice try. I refuse to claim responsibility for THIS crime against nature. Besides I share a body with Shrimp we would have both felt it." Sniffs “OH HELL I”M OUT”
SARAH - , yelling into the air like an insane person: "IF IT WASN’T YOU, GET BACK HERE AND DEFEND YOURSELF."
EMILY: "MOM! HE SAYS WE CAN SUFFER ALONE"
The Conclusion:
Sarah had lost the will to solve the mystery.
Daniel was still hiding.
Emily was still yelling.
Thomas had long since fallen silent, resigning himself to his fate.
And the true culprit remained unknown.
- For: She’s got zero impulse control. If someone was going to let it slip without thinking, it would be her.
- Against: She was actively panicking trying to get Danny back. If it was her, wouldn’t she have just laughed it off or played it cool?
- For: He ran away immediately. Very suspicious. Classic case of "He who smelt it, dealt it."
- Against: He shares a body with Emily. Could they have both lied? But then…why did he lock her out of the dreamscape?
- For: He got very quiet very fast. Classic "if I say nothing, no one will suspect me." Also, he's a dad—dad farts are a force of nature.
- Against: Would he really frame his children like this? Would he suffer in silence instead of owning up?
- For: She was the first one to notice. Could this have been an elaborate misdirection to shift blame?
- Against: She seemed genuinely horrified. Also, she was the one yelling about it the most, and moms don’t usually frame themselves for things like this.
Something else? - Possible - something the entire family missed….
