I woke up at 12:00 PM on April 12, 2025.
"I need to drink water… I’m thirsty."
He walked into the kitchen and drank water straight from the bottle.
(Whoosh…)
"Huh? What’s that… Who’s there?"
In his mind:
I just saw a shadow… but how is that possible? I live alone. And it’s 12 AM... Huh, is it a thief?
He picked up the water bottle and stepped out of the kitchen to follow the shadow.

"Hey Jay! Jay, come here! I found something interesting!"
(Jay works in historical research and ancient artifacts.)
"What is it?" (Jay rushes over, too excited.)
"Look! We found something—an ancient book!"
"Huh? Really?" (He looked super excited and took the book to the laboratory to clean it.)

On the mic:
"Everyone, thank you for your hard work. We’ve found something big in the south and need to investigate it. But before that, we’re giving everyone a short holiday. Thank you."
Everyone cheered happily.
"Yay! We can finally go home!"
"Hey Jay, aren’t you happy?"
"Huh? No—I mean, yeah, I’m happy. Yay…"
(No, I’m not happy at all… I don’t want to go home anymore.)
Everyone packed and left for their homes.
"Bye, Jay! Take care!"
"Hmm, bye guys." (Jay looked upset.)
He took out his phone and called his friend.
"Hello? Hey, can I stay at your place tonight?"
"Yeah, sure. Come over."
"Thank you."
Jay arrived at his friend Jess’s house. After showering, he sat at the table, staring strangely at the book.
"Hey Jay… did something bad happen?"
"No… why?"
"You just look really sad, man."
"Umm… I just got holidays, but I don’t want to go home."
"Ooh… Don’t worry. You can stay here."
"Umm… don’t worry about me, Jess. I found another place to stay."
"Where?"
"It’s in the north, near the Budh Temple. The interesting thing is—it’s free."
"Huh? Near the Budh Temple? I’ve never heard of a house there."
"Yeah, I didn’t know about it either until recently."
"I don’t think it’s a good idea."
"Hey, don’t worry. I’ll be fine."

A car stopped in front of a massive mansion.

Jay turned around.
"Shit…" (A small heart attack.)
"Do I look like a ghost or something?"
"N-no… I was just shocked that someone actually lives here."
"Take this. It’s the key to the house."
"Umm… okay."
(The strange man walked away.)
Jay opened the door to the mansion.
Creeeaaak…
"Frrr (cough)… why is this place so big? And so dusty?"
He walked to the bedroom.
"Everything’s old and broken… but the clock is still working? Weird. It’s 6:00 PM already?"
He cleaned the house and set up the room.
"Uff… done. I’m so tired and hungry… Wait—nooo! I forgot to buy food! It’s 10 PM. No way I can get food now… No dinner tonight. Damn my luck."
He went to bed.
Tik… tik… tik… tik… (It’s 12:00 AM.)
"Ugh… what time is it?" (He checks his phone.)
"Oh, 12 AM. I’m thirsty again… I need water."
He went downstairs to the kitchen.
It was dark. A cool breeze came in through the broken window, sending chills down his spine.
"Huh… this place is really creepy at night."

He swung the water bottle at the shadowy figure.
The person caught it mid-air with one hand.
The moonlight fell on their face.
Jay stared… His eyes blurred.
He fainted—collapsing into the stranger’s lap.

Jay slowly opened his eyes.
"What’s happening… Where am I…?"
He turned his head toward the bedroom window.
Someone was standing there.
"Who are you
? What are you doing here, huh? Are you a thief?!"
The figure slowly turned around…
