Bonus chapter - An unexpected Horace story pt III

Amelia and Horace didn't have to travel too far thanks to the port and go network being in place. Although back then it was simply called the network, but you know what corporate types are like ,EVERYTHING must be marketable and that inkydinkedin mindset goes HARD.

Amelia was chipper, this was one of her favourite dungeons. She enjoyed a fight that could really test her wits, toughness and determination. And she was excited to show what the future has in store for her wee little lad giving.

Looking at Horace and getting sweet maternal vibes.

Wearing some makeshift leather earplugs, our boy Horace however, wasn't quite feeling it. He felt his rizz was shit and after he and Amelia began to walk up towards the entrance.

Adventurers in groups and by themselves lined the sides of the blue grassy hillside leading up to a door that was shaped like a wooden bedframe only standing up. He thought it looked rare, and that thing wasn't hot.

He couldn't help but stare at the injuries. Blood and bone were not something he saw outside of food at home. Seeing grown adults roll around in pain, he really wanted to ask why they were hurt.

Those motherly instincts kicked in hard, and with a twist and dart backwards that all happened in a blur, out came the words that would leave most disturbed.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

"Don't you dare say anything, keep that mouth shut, lest you face the wrath of my metal flippity flop!" Horace was egged on to test the waters until he saw her take off her boots in quick fashion and said "Sowie mum."

"That's what I thought." Amelia firmly said whilst putting her boots back on.

One adventurer lay face down on the floor. Horace hadn't noticed and Amelia quickly dealt with him throwing the guy up and over the hillside and called Horace over with a "Yoohoo! over here." afterwards.

CLANG and CLUNKS was heard in the background by the rest of the adventurers who looked at Amelia, looking away when those daggery eyes of hers met there's.

The bookie Sju, barely the size of Skeweral (like a squirrel only purple and the tail is like a spear) rose to life and greeted the pair at the entrance.

"I the bookie Sju, ask ye. Will you take the trial here today?"

Amelia nodded then answered. "I shall and my son shall watch. I request the blessing of her grace for him."

Sju turned and waved at the door.

"Go forth into the battleground, May fortune favour you today."

Horace being a scaredy cat ran over to Amelia. She kneeled to him, taking out his earbuds. "It's ok little man! nothing can hurt you in here, mummy promises. Don't be scared~" he didn't understand anxiety at such a young age. A comforting hug did make sense and it felt nice to him.

He pulled away smiling at his mum, who ruffled his hair then stepped back. With a clap of her hands, she began to transform in front of his eyes.

Black goggles formed around her eyes, whirring with electronics inside. A metallic shimmering dark green armour began to form from her neck cascading downwards. It was almost dress like in appearance if not for it forming upwards from her feet and hands in the same manner.

Staring with astonishment. Only thing came to Horace's mind Wow my mums like a robot!

You can’t buy fleek ness like this. she thought stretching to the sky.
