When they got home and put their shoes facing the front door, Haruo, Taiki, Yuto and Masaru overlooked the inside of their home. There was a dark green hallway in front of the boys leading towards a flight of stairs.
At the bottom of the stairs was a door by the stairway, It was painted blue, which had a tree symbol on it, there was another door also painted blue, next to it was a door painted pink, leading to two bathrooms for the male and the female kaijus that live in the house.
There was also two grey doors next to the side of the hallway, they both look old and stood out to everything else in the hall.
To their right was a darkened lounge area, the walls were painted brown, near it was a rge room with a dining table that also lead into a small kitchen with a checkered floor pattern, the light of which was on.
"Nobody seems to around." Taiki was relieved to see that, that would mean that an argument would be avoided with certain kaiju.
"Good, it would mean hearing less shit from them." Haruo was relieved too as the boys approached the kitchen, Masaru didn't seem too pleased compared to Haruo and Taiki.
When they reached the small kitchen Haruo got out a small white patch from a small pstic box which he began applying on Yuto's shoulder.
Yuto hissed a little when the patch was applied and sparkled a little, Haruo tried his best to remain gentle when applying the glowing patch to Yuto's wound.
"It's just a healing patch Yuto, it's not like your getting you're shoulder stitched shut, that's honestly more worse." Taiki assured to Yuto as Haruo grinned while dabbing Yuto's shoulder with the patch, he was relieved that they had a patch in hand to treat the wound instead of not having any at all.
The kaijus can barely afford them with the money they got, even when backed up by the Mizushima's, they still could barely make ends meat these days.
When Haruo was finished treating Yuto's shoulder The boys were in the rge living room of their home, the floor was green with a small chandelior lighting up the room, near them was a TV and multiple couches around the room.
Yuto, who smiled now that the pain was gone, was sitting at one of the couch corners, he looked down at his wound now that it was cleared, it looked good as new, albeit, with a small scar that'll eventually clear up.
"Haruo, thank you." Yuto beamed to Haruo, which, Haruo apperciated, the boy smiled, which was a rarity these days, the smile surprised Yuto and Taiki.
"I'm just gd to see that you cheered up again after that fucker ruined it by shooting you." Haruo seemed relieved as three figures walked into the living room after noticing the boys, they were two girls, and a boy.
"What happened?" The Girl in the center tried to be polite as she questioned the boys, and yet despite her polite tone, she looked serious... She had medium length brunette hair that was styled in pigtails and white skin as she crossed her arms, her eyes were patina green.
The two other teenagers next to her both had blonde hair and white skin, with the blonde haired girl who had hints of brunette in her hair wearing a bck sweater with a purple skirt and bck shoes, one of her eyes was patina while the other was light green, while the boy with blond hair wore a dark cardigan with a white shirt and leather pants, his eyes were yellow.
The boy looked angry at the four, but mainly at Masaru, while the girl with brown hair wore a brown shirt with a darker brown skirt and shoes. Haruo crossed his arms as he looked at the three.
"A hunter attacked us again, Fuyu, the third one in the st six months." Haruo answered back, Fuyuko, and the boy next to her, Susumu Wada's eyes widened as soon as Haruo brought up the hunter.
"Damn it." Fuyuko looked fearful as she thought about the previous two hunter battles the kaijus had been involved in, while she was grateful that the boys had fortunately made it out of this fight alive, she can tell that the hunter had managed to hurt Yuto, given the state of his shoulder.
"And I take it the hunter injured you Yuto?" Fuyuko turned to Yuto, Yuto sadly clutched his shoulder.
"He managed to shoot me, but it's alright now." Yuto sniveled, he was only going to mention that and not anyone, he didn't want to think about the fight anymore. Fuyuko and Susumu looked more stunned when Yuto told them what kind of injury he got in the fight.
"I wasn't fast enough when that damn gun went off." Guilt rang in Haruo's voice as he turned to the side of the room in shame and he was only grateful that the bullet that the man fired was only a regur bullet, and not the acid bullets that some of the hunters tend to carry.
That would have been hell to remove from Yuto's shoulder if that was the case.
"And his corpse?" Fuyuko wanted to know if it was disposed, she knew the dangers if even a little bit of evidence of a death were left behind.
"We obviously buried him deep within the forest, we're not idiots Fuyuko." Haruo was already frustrated with how the fight went on tonight, he didn't want to be reminded of what he had to do whenever they killed someone, Fuyuko grew with slight anger.
"And we can't act like idiots Haruo, we can't leave anything behind when someone dies in our fights." Fuyuko chastised Haruo, before turning towards Masaru, Taiki and Yuto.
"All of you need to remember the consequences if any of this get's linked back to us, a lost bullet, blood trails, anything that shows that something bad has happened." Fuyuko didn't want to think of the day that it would happen, again, where they would have to pack everything up and leave once again.
Everyone in the group has already settled on the Isnd for almost a year now, despite some, shortcomings to some of the members of the group, who were gone now.
They couldn't afford to move to a new pce this time, given Goro's current condition.
"Regardless, good job on neutralising the hunter, hopefully we won't have to see another one in awhile or they don't realise we're residing here." Fuyuko lowered her tone and began to sound thankful as Susumu moved closer to her.
Being two years older then most of the kaijus in the group, he was a little taller than her and almost everyone in the room, with Haruo being the only other kaiju that could almost match his height despite being the same age as the other kaijus in the room.
"It also pains us to see you hiding your struggles and injuries from us." Susumu huffed, his anger, which could rival Fuyuko's just moments ago, did not subside compared to hers, he then approached Masaru and Haruo.
"Especially you two, given how important your roles in this group are." Susumu chastised Haruo and Masaru but he also looked guilty for not being there for Masaru during the fight, as he could have gotten an injury simir to Yuto's, if not worse. He was asked by Masaru to patrol around the neighbourhood, until the group had gotten back from Besant Academy where Masaru would then join up with him for the rest of the night.
"I'm sorry for not being there for you Ogawa, the one time I didn't a hunter attacked you and you three and could have done things that I and nobody here wants to imagine." Susumu looked sickened at such thoughts.
Masaru smiled and roughly put a hand over Susumu's shoulder. "It's alright Susu! The less people that were there the less people get hurt right?" Masaru smiled.
"And stop calling me Ogawa!" Masaru whined in a childish way, this caused Haruo to ugh a little.
"Who killed the hostile enemy hunter, if I might inquire for an answer?" The girl standing next to Fuyuko asked, she was quiet and spoke without emotion.
Masaru was unsure how to respond.
He still remembered the moment his cw plunged into the man's stomach and how the man's eyes rolled to the back of his colpsing skull and the saliva that seeped out through his teeth when the wound in his stomach expanded thanks to Masaru's cw.
He started feeling sick, and now he was worried about sleeping tonight.
"I did it." Haruo noticed the nauseous look on Masaru's face and despite being annoyed with Masaru most of the time, he knew he had been put through enough tonight, he said this with no emotion and was quick to announce his kill.
"The fucker had it coming." Haruo cross his arms as he looked at the relieved looks on the kaiju's faces around the room, except for the emotionless girl, who was silent again.
"Anyway, It's getting te, we should get some sleep." Fuyuko announced, she turn towards the emotionless girl.
"You should rest too, Kae, thank you for having tea with me." Fuyuko smiled to Kae, but Kae remained emotionless as she bowed before Fuyuko and everyone else in the room.
"Please rest in a healthy manner everyone." Kae then turned and went to bed with the twins following behind her as they walked towards the stairs leading further up their house.
"How, is she doing?" Haruo whispered to Fuyuko, he and Masaru stood near Fuyuko and Susumu, Fuyuko sighed as a result to Haruo's question.
"She's, trying her best to express her emotions, but, in her recent evaluation, the doctors said." Fuyuko paused, she didn't want to say anymore, just even thinking about, Kae's condition hit her nerves.
Fuyuko wanted her to get better and yet, nothing was working to help her. It felt worse then Goro's condition, but at least Goro had a chance of getting better one day, Kae however, was becoming less of herself each day and Fuyuko and the rest of the kaiju's hated thinking about that.
Susumu noticed the atmosphere becoming bleak and so looked towards Masaru. "We should rest, although." Susumu noticed Masaru's quivering lips.
"You'll probably need to go to the bathroom first given the way your mouth looks." Susumu watched as Masaru rubbed his mouth, which caused him to ugh as he lightly tugged on his shoulder.
"Heh, I've seen worse crap that made my stomach turn, but not to the point that I would vomit Susu, I'll be alright." Masaru beamed, he then grabbed onto Susumu's shoulder again.
"Come on, we'll py a bit of Scissor Murders 2 before bed, I am in the mood for it since it's raining outside." And to Masaru, he was always in the mood to py some horror games if it was dark and raining outside, it actually helps him feel tired.
"You'll get scared again." Susumu warned with a smirk on his face.
"I won't, since you'll be there with me!" Masaru simpered.
"Yeah, well, don't stay up too te Masaru, remember the st time you stayed up te." Haruo warned, making Masaru remember how he almost fell asleep and nearly missed school at the beginning of the week.
Masaru turned and smirked at Haruo and Fuyuko as he and Susumu also began walking out of the room and towards the stairs.
"Of course I won't man, I have arms set up this time to grate my ears." Masaru assured to Haruo.
"Goodnight." Susumu and Masaru said at the same time with Susumu bowing to the two kaijus before forcing Masaru to do the same when he didn't want to, but Susumu wanted him to do it as a sign of respect to Haruo and Fuyuko.
"Night." Haruo and Fuyuko both responded as the two boys went upstairs.
"Masaru's annoying sometimes, but at least it's not to the point where I'll rip that neck off of his head." Haruo grumbled.
"At least most of the time." He added, he soon noticed something regarding Fuyuko, she had been quiet as everyone was leaving, and he knew that it meant something was wrong.
And it often meant that it was often his fault.
"You're pissed at me, so what's wrong?" He queried to Fuyuko, her head turned towards Haruo's.
"I'm still scared about the hunters Haruo." She sighed.
"What if they continue finding us here? And what if more stronger ones that can take us by surprise start to appear? Their not dumb Haruo, they learn." Fuyuko mented.
"Humans like them can adapt quickly like we and every supernatural being can do and if they know how these hunters keep dying, then they'll find a way to make sure they don't die when they hunt us done." She continued, a look of sadness still on her face.
"We're doing fine right now Fuyuko. We'll just find a way to adapt against them like we always have." Haruo huffed, but Fuyuko didn't seem convinced.
"Haruo, Yuto was shot in the shoulder tonight, you and Masaru's scales were exposed that someone could have seen them, it could have been worse---And it didn't." Haruo interrupted her, sounding a little more angry again.
He didn't want to think about how this night could have gone wrong if the hunter had shot somewhere else on Yuto's body that was vital.
That would mean losing another kaiju in this family again, and they were already still thinking about Haruki.
"The hunters still don't know that we're here, besides the ones that attacked us. We're safe here, and we don't have to move again." Haruo would then turn and began making his way to his room.
"I'm the strongest amongst everyone here. I can protect everyone." He brought his cwed fist to his chest, where his heart, a powerful asset to his body preformed three beats per second instead of two.
"And what if they do hurt someone when you're not around Haruo? What then?" Fuyuko questioned as she stepped forward towards Haruo.
He turned towards her as he approached the stairs, he wanted to say something again, but, he didn't know what to say, and, he was too stubborn to admit the hard truth about their situation.
"Goodnight Fuyu, we don't need to do te night patrols, I doubt any other bullshit is going to happen tonight." Haruo would then put his hands in his pocket and looked away from Fuyuko as he began walking towards the stairs like everyone else did a few minutes ago, leaving Fuyuko alone in the living room.
She looked down to the floor with a sad look on her face before sighing in frustration.
