Chapter 5 – Arriving to Flamel

Isobel got closer towards Celosia, as she wanted to scold her for the way she talked to her just now, as she has every right to decide what she should want for her daughter, every decision she makes is also Isobel's alone and that goes for talking to people she meets.

But Celosia soon made it to the car before her mother could get to her and preventing Isobel for chastising her, at least for now. There was three teenage girls who were standing just outside the car, with a white skinned man inside It, looking dazed in one of the front seats.

The three girls, older then Celosia by a few years, turned towards the approaching women. They had white skin and have bck hair like their mother, but their hair was done in different styles.

The youngest before Celosia, Lily, had her hair long, while the oldest after her, Addison, had shorter hair, even more then Celosia's, and finally Willow, the oldest of the sisters hair was medium length, not to short then Celosia and Addison's, but not too long then Lilys, they also wore different clothes too.

Lily wore a purple coat with dark purple leggings and white shoes, while Addison wore a green tanktop with bck pants, as well as dark brown shoes, meanwhile Willow wore a white shirt, with jeans and shoes.

They didn't look happy as Celosia approached the car, followed by Isobel.

"Why weren't you with us? Do you hate us or something!? You always do this, wander away from us when we want to spend quality family time together!" Addison chided to her youngest sister.

"Yes." Celosia stated bluntly, Willow promptly grabbed her by the colr. Isobel didn't stop Willow when she did this sudden and harsh action, instead she simply crossed her arms and smiled at Celosia's punishment.

"Are you trying to make fool of us!?" Willow badgered to Celosia, shaking her slightly by the colr.

"Let go of me!" Celosia demanded as she tried to pull herself away from Willow's grip.

"What the hell is wrong with you!? Why is it always you with problems huh?" Willow chided.

"I said let go!" Celosia pushed Willow lightly as her grip to her colr was starting to suffocate her, this did cause Willow to let go of Celosia, but Willow then decided to make the situation worse by making herself fall over, as if Celosia pushed her hard enough for her to nd on the bck concrete ground of the ferry's car park.

"Ah!" Willow cried in a melodramatic fashion, which was loud and got the attention of a few people standing by their cars, Addison and Lily let out loud fake gasps.

"Willow!" Isobel finally ran over to her daughters, despite seeing everything, she was more worried that Willow may have gotten hurt, as she really thought Celosia did push her hard enough to fall.

"Sh-She pushed me!" Willow pointed to Celosia in an accusatory manner as she sniffled in a fake way, despite no tears leaving her eyes.

"I didn't push her that hard, just enough to get that bitch off of me." Celosia straightened her colr.

  "Celosia."

Celosia fixed her colr just as her mother sternly called out to her. "She's your sister." Isobel denounced Celosia, facing away from her to attend to Willow's needs.

"How about you show some respect to her, instead of just letting us down?" Isobel's tone was supposed to sound like she was scolding Celosia for what she said, instead it came out more like she was condemning Celosia, her tone more hateful then of angry that Celosia had done something wrong.

Celosia noticed, she has gotten used to the way her mother talks to her by now. "Yeah because her almost choking me just because I avoided her is completely normal." Celosia in turn, argued back in her defense.

"I'll talk to anyone my own way, if they treat me like shit then they'll get shit thrown back at them, simple as that." Celosia snarled back to her mother.

Isobel turned towards Celosia, who saw the vile of hatred building up within her mother's face, her face almost turning red, Celosia thought that a blood vessel was going to shoot out somewhere on her face at this point, which would be funny to see, Celosia thought.

And yet Isobel didn't say anything else, as if she was showing her expression to warn Celosia what would happen if she says something to her again. Celosia felt as though if she said anything else at this point, then her mother would leap towards her, pin her to the ground and viciously tear open her face and insides like some predator looking for some helpless pray out in the wild.

Celosia wasn't phased by these kinds of looks Isobel gives to her anymore, it would have worked if she was still a child, where she would be scared to speak out against her mother.

Back then she had heard plenty of stories about childen who get beaten by their parents, for things that weren't their fault, for simply existing, for doing something wrong, and Celosia, when she saw those kinds of looks her mother gave to her, scared her into thinking that she was going to do the same thing and so backed down whenever she angered her.

But children grow up, and children become less scared of things like angering their parent.

And Celosia learned that despite their strained retionship, Isobel would never raise her hand at her in any hostile way.

No, she hurts her emotionally instead.

"If you're expecting me to say sorry to Willow then fuck that, she doesn't deserve one." Celosia retorted, in a mixture of still being angry about what happened, and her petty curiosity over pushing her mother to her limit out in public, but Isobel remained silent and turned away once again when she realised her stare did not cause Celosia to back down.

But Celosia knew she was going to sh out at her again, at somewhere where she's not being watched by people.

Willow continued to whimper childishly as Lily and Addison helped her get back up from the ground as if she had troubled doing so by herself.

"I think, I'm going to limp for the rest of the day." Willow sniffled as she rubbed her leg, Celosia rolled her eyes.

"This is all your fault, you rat!" Lily shed out to Celosia.

"Funny, you look more like one then I do, likely the kind that carrys an ancient disease." Celosia responded with a smirk as she watched her sisters help Willow back to the car before going in it themselves.

"Whatever." Celosia sighed, and turned towards the rails near the ferry as Isobel open the door to the empty passenger front seat.

"I'm going over there for a bit, at the perfect murder spot." Celosia promptly walked over towards the rails at the front of the ferry after her sarcasm unched a growl from Isobel as she got into the car.

As Celosia stood by the rails, she watched Fmel as it grew bigger the more the ferry rode forward.

One half of Fmel was a rge patch of nd with dozens of houses lined up just at the front of the nd. Small hills overlooked It, surrounding those houses and small buildings, was a rge shade of green, darker then the patch of nd, It was Fmel's rge forest.

Celosia remembered exploring the forest with Peter and Evelyn, and apprentley one time, Louisa and uncle Basaran, even if she didn't remember that outing.

The other half of Fmel was a rge city, filled with various tall buildings and other smaller buildings that she couldn't make out. It was this part of the Isnd where she was going to attend Conway High with her sisters, and her two asswipes that she calls her cousins, the thought of seeing them caused her to sigh.

She wondered if the school was going to be better then Gyges, but she doubts it. Before they started attending Conway's the girls have to get admission letters that they should be getting in a few days from now, just as school was going to reopen following a short break.

As the ferry hummed and an announcement was made for all passengers to return to their vehicles, Celosia turned and walked back to the car to try and get a spot in the car before they arrive at the docking district of Fmel.

Lily blocked one path while Willow blocked the other way in. "Can I get in?" Celosia hesitantly asked as she opened the door to Lily's side, knowing the responses will be hostile.

"Find your own way in, waste of space." Lily retorted.

"Alright." Celosia obliged and without allowing Lily to get another smug word in, hopped into her side and sat in the middle, crashing into Lily in the process.

Lily, annoyed, smmed the car door shut as the ferry arrived to Fmel, shortly after the family drove off from the ferry once it opened and for the first time in awhile it's car wheels touched Fmel's surface.

As the car drove forward, Celosia and the rest of her family looked at the various small businesses in this small district, from small butcher stores to them seeing a small marketpce located at a square.

Fmel was still the busy Isnd that Celosia had remembered, sure, some businesses may have changed or closed since the st time her and her family were here, but it was still as busy as ever like it was two years ago.

She saw lumbering logs being delivered from a lumbering mill that seemed to belong to a family called the Moulds and fish and skinned rabbits being hung up inside out, which even Celosia looked away from as her stomach churned in disgust.

Some businesses seemed to be closed for now, likely opening another day or ter on at night, some of which Celosia couldn't quite make out, the rest of her family were busy looking at more noticable businesses as they drove through the district and towards Peter and Evelyn's house.

Celosia wondered what those closed off businesses were selling, the signs by their doors were odd to look at too, they looked like they had potions and strange looking leafs on them that she had never seen before.

As they drove out the district, Celosia saw a woman staring at their car at the edge of It. The woman had short brown hair and white skin, she wore a dark and green striped shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes, she was leaning on a bike that she was riding, smiling as she watched the family drive towards a hill.

Celosia felt that she was staring only at her in the car, maybe she was just seeing things, but she didn't tell her family about this woman, knowing that they'll think she's crazy or lying.
