Daz felt like his speed was heavily lacking in the fight against the Barbarians, allowing him to sustain far too many injuries, so he bought this to compensate. It cost him only seven-thousand five-hundred merit points. Daz also got this skill to make his travels outside of fort skip slightly faster since time was very much so a valuable resource now.
Daz bought this skill because he felt like he couldn't rely on his Absolute Harvest skill to always be able to help him like it did against Og, so this skill was the perfect method to control enemies stronger than himself since it could stun regardless of their ability to negate similar effects. It cost Daz a large amount of fifteen-thousand merit points to purchase it.
While this skill looked somewhat underwhelming, Daz had discovered that during the most recent attack, he had barely used his Death Energy at all, but he did attack regularly and rapidly, so this skill fit perfectly to both use up more Death Energy and to increase the damage of the attacks he was already dealing. It cost Daz a low amount of three-thousand merit points to obtain.
That was the end to Daz's spending as far as skills were concerned, for now, so he moved onto his items.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
This might have looked like a useless skill and dramatically overpriced to the casual eye, but to Daz, this item was absolutely priceless.
Not only did it add five points to the rare stat he had just bought, but it even helped him to relax his mind which was of the utmost importance right now considering how much stress he was building up.
He had noticed it when he was affected by Ellie's mysterious skill, but he could think far more clearly and efficiently under its apparent soothing effects, so even though this B-rank item was priced at thirty-five thousand merit points, Daz didn't hesitate to buy it.
The earring was quite large and looked like a shark's tooth. Daz had no idea how to pierce himself with it, so he figured he'd ask Sarah later since she had a small stud in her ear. If she didn't know how to safely put it through his ear, then he'd simply ask Mave, the apparent Surgeon.
Daz put the earring into his inventory and took a quick moment to look at the final thing he had bought.
This tool was three times smaller than Daz's other shovel, Hamson, and it was designed by Daz using a very interesting part of the system that he had found after several specific questions were asked. Similar to the levelling function of skills, the system had another hidden feature.
For the price of five-thousand merit points, Daz could unlock the 'Design' mode of the shop, which he obviously did quite happily and after that, he spent one-thousand on designing the blueprint for this small hand-shovel. After that, it only cost one-hundred merit points to create the tool.
He had wondered how the people mentioned in the items and skills descriptions were able to create them and how they had been so mystical and magical in nature.
Daz had assumed it was due to the other worlds mentioned being magical unlike Earth, but that was obviously proven wrong by his new earring since it was made on Earth by the Egyptians.
After a few rounds of questions with the system, Daz had learnt that Earth was once an exceedingly magical planet, but for some reason, it had lost its powers. This was all that Daz could get from the system for free with his current access level. This frustrated him, because to buy any more information, he would have to spend hundreds of thousands of merit points.
Daz had more important things to buy right now than that information so the secrets of ancient Earth would have to wait until a later date to be revealed.
Now that Daz had finished his initial round of purchases, he looked at his updated ranking lists and was both upset and happy with the results. A strange phenomenon, to be sure.
