Cold wind flows through space. Time. Darkness. Upon a bed of flowers, an individual arises. A Wolfian, her expression tired and confused. She looks around, pitch darkness the only thing present in front of her. A cold chill runs up her spine, guard on high alert. Before her stands it. A figure tall, imposing and strangely familiar. Had she seen this figure before? Most certainly. The armor and wings were unmistakable.
With twin swords and wings spreading forth, it does a motion that engulfs the darkness, light masking the darkest abyss of time as a soothing yet ominous melody plays. Gentle. Haunting. Beautiful.
Springing upwards, Lyra frantically looks around the room, breathing in and out as the dream ceased, fangs bared and growls loud. Taking a deep breath, she collapses back onto the pillow, still growling lowly. She glances to the adjacent clock on the wall, letting out an annoyed sigh upon seeing the time. Great. Just great. She went to sleep mid day, and now has awoken at the dead of night. Way to go Lyra. Way to go. With a deep sigh and the flick of a tail, she sits upward, rubbing her groggy face. She turns to her right as she sees Vielvex perched up asleep. With a low yawn she jumps from her bed, stretching as she adjust her eyes. The image from the dream is still clear within her mind. Which can't be said for the others she's had.
Deciding it would be best to get some fresh air, Lyra walks overs towards the balcony door, sliding it open as she steps onto the comfortable, warm material that adorned the floor. She leans against the railing, looking out towards the night sky as she just...well, thinks. She honestly doesn't try to think of anything specific, just sort of letting her thoughts do their own thing. Amongst the many things she is currently thinking of, a brief moment from her past makes itself known, causing her to space out for a moment.
A younger, more inexperienced Lyra stood before a rather amused Aurora, who was comfortably sitting in her rather big chair that dwarfed the Quilavi in size. "Well well Lyra, I have to say. You intrigue me. You really really do." She gives a low, amused chuckle, her legs crossed as she flicked her tail across her neck. "You've pretty much aced the last two quizzes, shown both incredible magical power and potential, as well as bested all of your fellow guild mates in combat. Well asides from Shrieeks. I'll have to have you two spar one of these days." She puts both hands together, kicking her feet up. "You have one more quiz left. But I already know you'll pass with flying colors. Seriously, you have a very, VERY bright future ahead of you Lyra. I can already tell you'll become an S rank hero someday. Haha, you probably didn't even need to join the guild to begin with." She cackles, Lyra looking on in silence and awkwardness. "Anyways, yeah, you've pretty much aced the quiz. What else can I say really? To honor your reward, you'll be the one to fight me." She springs upwards, leaning off of the comically large seat she's in. "As I said. The member with the highest score gets to duel me. And you are that person Lyra. Come, follow me."
The remainder of the memory makes her growl lowly, Lyra being far outclassed by Aurora as she fails to even land a single blow. She knows she was not as experienced. Skilled as her current self. Still, she can't help but feel a pinch of annoyance at the cocky, sarcastic words of Aurora as she bested her. Come to think of it, she's never bested Zelphar either. She shakes her head, knowing full well that the two are experienced, well trained mages. So obviously she was never going to beat them back then. But now? Who knows. Perhaps the former student will best the sassy guild leader one of these days.
She gives a deep sigh, looking out towards the countless stars that surround the night sky. She was always fascinated in space. Wondering how the planet she inhabits can be home to such beauty, yet also house such monsters.
She lifts her paws up towards the sky, slightly clamping them together to mimic trapping stars. She stares within the opening between her paws, mind a whirlwind of random, jumbled together thoughts. Her expression was deadpan, tongue sticking out a little as it added a sense of childish wonder to her peaceful, starry viewing. Mind wandering once more, another past memory makes itself known, Lyra smiling as she recounts the moment with a certain someone.
"I never understood the stars. They're cool though, I guess." Shrieeks turned to Lyra, eyes wide. "Oh! Forgot to say. Congrats on the quiz. Aced it!"
She shrugs. "It really wasn't all that." *brief smile* "Thanks regardless."
"Anytime Lyra. Anytime." His tail silently flicked upward, resting near hers. "Still can't believe we actually managed to take down those elementals yesterday. There was so many. Almost got overwhelmed."
"Yeah. But hey? We still beat them. Got the job done and were rewarded. All that matters."
They sat in comfortable silence, observing the stars as they enjoyed one another's company. Thinking of a random silly question, the imp speaks up. "Think the stars mean souls?"
"What?"
"Like that our souls are somewhere along the stars? Like I said, I don't much understand stars, but what if they represent us? Our souls? And when we inevitably pass on, it fades away?"
"..." Lyra thinks on this, expression becoming deadpan as she stares up at the stars. "I don't know. I don't pay much mind to silly things like that. Just focusing on the day to day, myself, and my life. Yeah, we'll all inevitably pass on, but that's just life. Our so called star will always eventually fade away. It's just the way things are." She turns to him, gentle, appreciative smile present on her muzzle, wind blowing her fur back a bit as she speaks up. "Anyways, how's your shoulder?"
"Still a bit sore. Nearly thought I broke it. I mean one moment we're just casually doing our thing and the next thing I know a stray fireball nearly scorched me alive! Good thing I jumped outta the way despite nearly breaking some bones." *shrug* "Have to say Lyra. You're a powerful force to be reckoned with using magic. You were outstanding."
She gives a shrug of her own, looking off into the stars. "I'm in the mages guild. Working to better improve myself with sorcery and the arcane arts. Of course I'll be a somewhat decent combatant. Not like I'm some random person with a knife."
"Ah...hmm." He awkwardly runs a claw through his whitish and blackish hair. "Just offering some simple compliments. That's all I guess." He quickly looks over to her, an idea forming in his head as his tail taps the ground in gentle, yet rhythmic fashion. " You know, I've been thinking. Beautiful night out. Perfect to let loose our voices unto the night." He gives a small smile, trying to encourage the ever so closed off Lyra.

She sighs, looking to the grass below as she grips a paw. "I don't know, don't really feel like it tonight."
He holds up his hands, smile still present, yet understanding. "It's ok. Want me to just, well, start my humming on my lonesome then?" He said with a low tone of voice, tail hovering around his neck. "Who knows. It could add comfort to this starry night."
She nods, tail hugging her own waist. "Go ahead."
With a gentle nod, he begins to let loose his voice, the sound and melody echoing through the surrounding area. Lyra had to admit, his voice was pleasant to the ears. So pleasant that she immediately did a one eighty, giving a low but steady growl.
"Know what? You've changed my mind."
He quickly flashes a smile, springing from his spot as he offers down a hand. "That was fast. Come! We can even dance!"
She accepts the help up, Shrieeks almost falling over due to his more slimmer body. "I only agreed with the humming, not the dancing."
"Well you could've just stayed on the ground with your tail around your waist." He said with a small laugh, left hand on his hip. "I'm not wrong. Could've declined."
"Shut up."
The memory slowly fades away, a now sad Lyra looking down to her paws, clenching them tightly. She dearly misses Shrieeks. And she knows he misses her too. She quickly shakes away the past and its memories, clenching her fangs as the sounds of the night sound. She could even hear an owl in the distance. No doubly hunting prey. Despite her past memories ceasing, a single figure still remains. The one from the dream. Perhaps it meant something? Or perhaps she's just still shaken up from the dream. Who knows. The only thing Lyra cares about is trying her hardest to forget it and move on, the Wolfian looking back up to the sky with a now relaxed expression.
Humming sounded. Mixing in with the sounds of the night. Lyra figured that she might as well let some of her emotion sound. After all it's not like anyone's awake at this hour. Eyes closed and a mind clear, she pours all of her tired, nightly emotion out into an otherwise simple melody that could put the world to asleep. It sure made Vielvex even more deep into sleep, even for a raven.

Meanwhile in dream space
"Good speed. Keep up the assault, don't allow your enemy a moments breather."
"Got it sir!!"
With his literal god observing him, Kak-Yak pulls out the full stops to impress him, the void like space lit up with stars shining down upon the two. Before Kak-Yak stood a powerful monster known as a Shreaiker, but not just any Shreaiker. An Alpha variant, its reddish armor and size easy to tell apart from normal Shreaiker's. Its face opens up, showing razor sharp fangs going rows and rows around its fleshy interior. With a powerful deafening roar, it quickly makes haste, static magical energy leaving burst after burst of lingering flames along its path.
Kak-Yak uses his powers to quickly move out of the way, vanishing from point to point in quick burst of light, his flowing white fur lighting up the night. "Uhhhh sir, you sure I should be skipping the normal variant? Why not have me fight the normal one fir-woah!!!" He flashes upwards to dodge a brutal blow, promptly crashing down with great power onto the monsters back, making it lash around in attempts to get him off. "HAHAHA, this is fun!! I'm riding it!! HIYA!!!"
Combining his sword with his powers, he drives the blade down through the exposed skin of the creatures sensitive, under shell skin. A bright explosion erupts as Kak-Yak is blown off of it, landing on both paws after a sweet backflip.
"Hey! My sword!!!"
Enraged, the creature opens up its armored shell of a face, driving its claws deep within to grab hold of the now lodged sword, desperately trying to get it free of its sensitive flesh as it moves around in frantic savage motions. Entering a stance, Kak-Yak in a burst of moonlight appears before the monster, delivering devastating punches with his bare paws. He weaves and dodges each and every strike the monster throws at him, even jumping over a tail sweep. Channeling together inner power, he fires a powerful blast of magical energy that causes the Shreaiker to be blown back a few feet, armor severely damaged from the attack.
"Time for an encore!!! Wait, is that how you use that word in this situation? Oh well!! Take some more blast!!" He channels together even more of the blast, firing a quick barrage of attacks towards the monster who could do nothing but tank the attacks, its body already tired as is. "Ok seriously I want my sword back." He closes his eyes, making slow motions, breaths slow as he prepares final, devastating attack.
Aza-Riel observes, happy that Kak-Yak is becoming more better at using his powers more effectively. With a burst of moonlit light, our hero once again appears before the monster in seemingly a split second, jumping upwards to deliver a devastating, duel kick hit to the creatures head, following up with a mid air slash, magical sword appearing from thin air as it connects with the monsters skull. Kak-Yak lands softly, waving a paw as the Alpha Shreaiker collapses. Defeated. Its reddish and impressive armor a far cry from its former glory.
Our hero turns around, walking over to the monster, kneeling down to take out his beloved sword from deep in its face. Giving multiple tugs, he frees his blade, quickly sheathing it as he gives a quick breath, white, moonlit fur flowing beautifully in the night.
*Claps* "I'm impressed Kak-Yak. You're learning quickly." He claps his paws together, causing the monsters body to disappear. "Although it was a mere construct. Illusion. You would have no doubt have bested the real thing."
Our hero still takes some breaths, the last attack making him winded. "I'm sure once I fully get the hang of these powers of mine, I'll be amazing sir...haha...man am I winded."
"Come. Sit. Rest yourself."
With the clap of his paws once more, the area around them forms into a small garden, bluish lit trees surrounding a lake, moonlight shining down upon said lake and garden. Kak-Yak waste no time plopping into a seat nearby, giggling lightly. Aza-Riel sits across from him, expression stoic and still as ever, his white fur shining. "I wish to ask a question." His gaze narrows. "Kak-Yak...do you wish to have any children within the far future?"
The sudden, insane question takes him by full surprise, making the Suxarine stare wide eyed. "O-oh. U-uh, I don't know sir. Never really thought that far yet hahaha." He rubs his head awkwardly. "Um...mind if I ask why you...uh...well, asked, such a question, haha? Caught me by surprise you did hehehe."
"I apologize if my question was off putting. Sudden. I simply wish for you to know of what I am about to say." He looks to his left, visions of past Suxarine blessed with the same powers as Kak-Yak roaming the moonlit garden. "If you ever find someone you wish to love...be with...you can help bring new life into this world that inherits your ability's. Blessing." He quickly looks to him, Kak-Yak looking in awe at the last Full Moon Suxarine. "See?"
His goofy wide eyed expression falters, replaced with a deep thought stare, gazing into the past of his species. "It'd be nice to find someone who I love so much to the point that I would want a child with them." He shrugs. "I just don't know if I would ever get to that stage though. I mean love?! Me?!?! Haha, my love life is non
existent! So...uh...yeah, I dunno sir. But if by some slim chance I ever do find someone to love so close to me...I'd make sure our child is the happiest they can ever be. Hehehe, I'd be such a great father! But uh, yeah, don't really know if I would ever even BE a father. Because you know? The whole finding a partner thing."
"The world is huge. Plenty of potential mates to find. Be with. Of course you need to find said mate to be with. Let's move on now...again, sorry if I've made you uncomfortable with the question."
He gives a quick smile. "All good sir! You just want me to pass down my AWSOME powers, no big deal."
With a simple nod, Aza-Riel stood from his seat, looking out to the moonlight sky. "Once more, I am quite impressed with what you've shown me tonight. I look forward to our next session. Until then, keep honing your powers within dream space."
And with that, Aza-Riel vanished into thin air, leaving behind magical energy that hung in the air for a moment. Kak-Yak stared up at the sky, mind still lingering on the strange question his god asked him. Oh well! Another strange thing to think about along with the countless other thoughts within his crazy crazy head.
