Val(first person point of view)

  It's been a month since the decision was made for Eclipsara to be pced under my care. Dr. Trauss had been very...persuasive, thats all I will say.

  Right nowm Eclipsara and I are inside a vehicle thats enroute to go to the nation of Velmoria. What happened that made both Eclipsara and I go to this nation? Dr. Trauss happened.

  Fshback scene

  "Since Eclipsara and you shall be living together, I have decided to give you both a home in the nation of Velmoria," Dr. Trauss suddenly said one day.

  "Huh?!" I stare in disbelief at the Doctors statement. Eclipsara, however, didnt seem bothered at the slightest of the news.

  "You heard me. You both will be living there. And before you ask, do you really thing this cold settlement here is a perfect pce to raise a young girl?" Dr. Trauss talked as he wrote down something on his journal. The man was a legendary multitasker.

  "Good point," I muttered under my breath. Even I was aware that the settlement we were in wouldnt really be the best pce for raising young girl like Eclipsara. "But why Velmoria?" I asked, curious as to why he didnt choose other nations. Let me say this, theres nothing absolutely wrong with Velmoria-in fact it is a rapidly growing nation-but compared to other nations, it was slightly behind in development.

  Dr. Trauss stopped writing in his journal and looked at me. "Because Velmoria is the closest nation near the tree of life."

  I frowned in confusion. "The tree of life? But what does that have to do with-"

  Dr. Trauss interrupted me with a silent raised his scaly hand before responding. "I did tell you didn't I? That the nation of daemina proposed an idea to all nations to fund a new school thats near the tree of life. A school that will be pced in the sacred grounds of the tree of life itself."

  As Dr. Trauss had reminded me of this fact, I started piecing together his intentions. "Wait...your proposing that Eclipsara gets into that school? But, that school hasnt even been made yet?' I then pause and realize something "Oh wait!"

  "Ah, you figured it out huh." Dr. Trauss smirked slightly with a toothy grin. "Thats right. I had gotten word that its now in development. The schools name is not out yet and will be given a name ter on. By the time eclipsara turns 15 years old, the school will have been completed. Apparently, additional information has been given to me that the school will accept students between the ages of 15-20." Dr. Trauss calmly replied back to what I was thinking.

  "So thats why you proposed Velmoria" I paused before voicing a new question. "But why does Eclipsara have attend this school specifically?"

  Dr. Trauss paused, as if choosing his words carefully."Ah...I thought it may be an rare opportunity for her. Since this is a new school that is funded with every nations money, it could give her a fresh start. Something...positive. You get what I am saying? This will be the first prestigious school to be built in a long time-especially near the tree of life. A school that symbolizes a brand new beginning after the war"

  Hearing all of this, I had finally had my curiosity of the questions in my head pleased. "I see, it makes perfect sense."

  Eclipsara, who had been listening silently, finally spoke. "So when will we be leaving?"

  Dr. Trauss revealed the information. "I have already arranged vehicle to come to your doorstep as a mean of transportation to Velmoria in a months time. Till then you both can either rest or do whatever you wish in the settlement. Val, since this is our st month working together, Ill be asking for your help alot. Oh, and I’ll also be requesting more of your massages."

  I stared at him before ughing. "You really like those head massages, huh, Dr. Trauss."

  Dr. Trauss gave one look at me and then replied in a funny deadpan manner with rge dramatic voice. "Boy, have you even seen the effect of those massages you gave?! The whole settlement was against me at first when they found out that you would be moving to a whole new nation under my advice. The main reason is that the settlement will miss those massages....and, of course, you."

  I blinked. "Dr. Trauss I-"

  Dr. Trauss raised his scaly hands again. "Please believe me when I say that this whole settlement will feel empty without you. I know that the children and the elderly especially will be missing you. Your time here has nothing been short of a blessing and comfort around here.:

  I get suprised-Touched and speechless by what he had just said. I thought I felt Eclipsara behind me grin, even though I couldnt see her expression. I guess I am getting slightly better at understanding this girl.

  "Well then!" Dr. Trauss suddenly boomed. "You have work to do, Val. We'll talk more ter"

  Present Moment

  As Eclipsara is sleeping on my shoulder as we are enroute to Velmoria, I pull out a note from Dr. Trauss and rest of the settlement we left from. While I have the urge to open the letter right now, Dr. Trauss had specifially requested me to open the letter when I finally take my first steps in the nation of Valmoria.

  As Eclipsara drools slightly in her sleep, her head resting against my shoulder, I gently pat her head and give her a small massage, hoping it will bring her good dreams instead of nightmares from the destruction she witnessed in Vitalia.

  As I stopped massaging her head for a break, I let out a quiet sigh as I am lost in thought about this new beginning and how so many things have just happened within the past month.

  Sleepiness finally starts to overtake me as my thoughts spiral again. Without realizing it, I drift off to sleep—my head resting on Eclipsara’s.
