  Another feminine voice but higher pitch spoke "Alcur us.. fith ves keus.. Su ud ultusas."

  They ended the transmission again. A few moments of silence, Sebastian heard swooping sound, he looked up and something caught his eyes.

  "What is that!" one of the crew yelled, pointing above him.

  Sebastian squinted his eyes, it’s some kind of ball hovering above them. Another beeping sound, the alien contacted them again.

  "Greeting friends! we are the Garbatian!" it said enthusiastically.

  Everyone was looking at each other, they were all afraid.

  "Hello?"

  The captain said "Sir.. I think.. you should reply them."

  His father looking around and everyone was looking back at him. He requested the crew to established a comm link with the alien ship, but the crew said he didn't know how. The ball flew closer to him, he was puzzled seeing it swirling near his face.

  "Perhaps.. they wants us to use it to talk with them," said Sebastian.

  He stared at his son and tried talking to the ball "My.. my name is William Craig, we are human from planet called earth, please.. we are not hostile, we are just-"

  The alien immediately replied "Earth? where is that? is it beautiful there?"

  "Nekht!" yelled the feminine voice.

  "Ei enles... ah ye! Human of earth! we requesting permission to speak with your chieftain."

  His father rubbing his beard, he looked around the bridge.

  "Your calls sir," said the captain.

  Taking a deep breath, his father replied "Please head to the middle section of our ship, there's a gate, we will open it when you gets there."

  "Are you sure sir.." one of the crew worried "what if-"

  The captain waved at the crew to be quiet. His father sighed heavily before asking the captain to accompanied him meeting with the alien, he also instructed the bridge crew to informed the vice president Widodo and the ministers to meet them at the cargo bay.

  The captain nodded and ordered the vice captain to standby at the bridge before following his father and left the bridge; Sebastian followed them, along with some of the bridge crew. On the way to cargo bay, his father was asked about the situation by the people, he assured them everything was fine and they were dealing with it now.

  At the Cargo bay, Sebastian saw vice president Widodo and the ministers were waiting for his father there, they all looked nervous. Sebastian stayed a bit further, watching his father and the captain approached the vice president.

  His father explained the situation to the them, they were all shocked and about to argued, but the captain informed him the alien was already waiting in front of the airlock chamber gate.

  "William! if i may, we can't-" the vice president protested.

  "Captain, open the gate," ordered his father, dismissing vice president Widodo and the ministers.

  The captain nodded and instructed the bridge to unlocked the gate. On the monitor, Sebastian saw 3 humanoid aliens wearing a spacesuit entering the airlock chamber.

  After the outer gate closed, the cargo gate slides open. Everyone stared nervously at the 3 figures entering the cargo bay. The Garbitians were taller than human, but the one on the left was much bigger and intimidating, while the one on the right was thinner than the one on the middle who was now excitedly looking around the cargo bay, they all have tails.

  "Human sefs ufs gragruu ou?" said the excited one.

  "Seis ou Nekht! ilve fors!" said the thinner one, it was the one with the feminine voice.

  "Wel- welco- welcome-" his father stammered "i- i am William-"

  They approached his father while removing their helmets. Sebastian was shocked, their face resembled lizard but they have green fur and long ears like a rabbit.

  "Greetings human president!" the excited one lifted it hand "My name is Sannekth, behind me are my companions."

  "Gersoth" the big one gruffed while crossing his arms, nodding his head at his father.

  The thin garbitian bowed gracefuly "I am Ammaurith, it is a pleasure to meet you human."

  His father nervously extending his hand for a handshake, Sannekth looked at him puzzled. Ammaurith whispered something to him. Sannekth removed his gloves and enthusiastically shook his father's hand, then he shook the vice president's hand.

  Sannekth enthusiasm was to much for an old man like Widodo. He wobbled after the handshake, fortunately Gersoth caught him before he fell down to the floor; Ammaurith scolded Sannekth.

  "This fun custom," he told his father "It been a long time since we found another space faring species" he grinned "anyway, we are here as the representatives of the Watcher."

  "Uh.. a what?"

  "A watcher?" mentioned one the minister.

  "It’s our organization, simply put.. our duty isss to observes this galaxy and neutralizes any threats to-"

  Sebastian couldn't helped to asked "Is- uh there are more of you out there?"

  His father was about to reprimanded him but Sannekth raised his hand to stopped him.

  He stared at Sebastian "Aside from us Garbitian, there are seven other members in the Watcher" Sannekth talked to his father again "May i ask permission to speak with all of your subject?"

  "This will concern your whole species future," Sannekth now sounded serious.

  His father paused for a moments, he rubbed his beard. He told the captain to brought a camera here; the plan was to broadcast them to the entire ship. Widodo was about to protest again, but William just shook his head; the captain called the bridge and relayed the order.

  The repair crew arrived with an old camera. After finished setting it up, William asked the entire ship to gathered at the place with a monitor or speaker nearby, they waited for a while before starting the broadcast.

  "My people.. we-" His father paused for a moment, he glanced at the Garbitians beside him before continuing "we have a visitor from other world... and they are here because they have an offer that benefit us all," he stepped aside to let Sannekth spoke.

  "Human friends, my name is Sannekth, we are member of the Watcher. hmm.. we are the protector of this galaxy," he laughed, but stopped after Ammaurith smacked his head "after some observation, our high elder agreed to give you human a chance to be a member of the Watcher."

  The news caused a big commotion among them there. Sebastian was flabbergasted but he was also intrigued.

  "Should humans reject, we will instead help you find a new home, but you have to start over from the beginning and left everything behind," said Sannekth "We'll give you time to decide."

  Sannekth stepped aside allowing his father to spoke, but his father was still in shock. The captain poke his shoulder. Snapped out of his shock, he asked everyone to decided whether joining or get a new home, using the voting booth.

  While waiting for the outcome, Sannekth and his companion requested for a tour of the entire ship. His father and the captain will personally guided them around the spaceship, while Widodo and the minister were tasked to overseen the voting process. He instructed Sebastian to go to the nearest voting booth, whispering to him to vote for the new home.

  "Rith! look! It’s elder Linlyon!" Sannekth pointing at the orange cat wandering in the cargo bay.

  "Stop it,"Ammaurith smirked "it does look like him.."

  Gersoth laughed.

  Sebastian perplexed seeing the Garbitians stroking the cat before leaving the cargo bay with his father and the captain.

  He arrived at the nearest voting booth, the place packed. While waiting he listened to the conversation; some were wary of the alien intention, but more were relieved to finally have a home like their ancestor.

  After waiting maybe an hour, it was finally his turn. He was about to picked the new home just like his father told him to, but remembering his dream, also the time he and her mother talking about the space adventures, rekindled his desires. He chose to join the Watcher.

  Few hours later, the voting was finally concluded and the result was 98 percent opted for a new home. Sebastian was disappointed, but he understood everyone were exhausted, all they want was a safer place to lived, maybe it is for the best.

  Sannekth also visibly disappointed. He spoke with Gersoth and Ammaurith before donning their helmets and returned to their ship. He informed human they were relaying human's choice to their high elder, he asked human to be patient while they were searching for a new home for them.
