15.From Pride to Pact!

Oliver’s massive snake body coiled slightly, his gaping maw suddenly opening wide, beginning to chant one primordial rune after another. The sounds of these primordial runes also carried immense destructive power, directly forming sonic waves capable of annihiting everything, shattering the venom around him and sending it spshing in all directions, unable to get even the slightest bit close to him!

The primordial runes Oliver could currently command numbered a full hundred, each one brimming with boundless power, symbolizing a complete w! Not to mention that this leading Níemogr was a mere Level 8, while Oliver himself was a Level 9 deity—how could it possibly be his match?

The terrifying sonic waves of the primordial runes, after shattering the venom, continued surging forward, crashing into the body of the leading Níemogr. It was as if he’d been struck head-on by a massive truck, sent flying with a thunderous crash, his body beginning to split apart into pieces! A Level 8 deity was directly obliterated by Oliver’s roar infused with the power of primordial runes! This was the strength Oliver now possessed!

With the leading Níemogr dead, the others stood even less of a chance. In just a few breaths, Oliver effortlessly wiped them all out. Who knows—now that he’d killed all these creatures, would the legendary Níeh?ggr, said to devour the World Tree, still emerge in the future? Oliver might have just altered history.

And the World Tree, witnessing this scene from the side, was utterly stunned. It hadn’t expected this suddenly appearing giant snake to possess such overwhelming power!

  “No, don’t eat me!”

The World Tree screamed at Oliver, its voice filled with terror. In truth, during Oliver’s battle with the Níemogrs, it had considered fleeing, but unfortunately, Oliver dispatched those monsters far too quickly. Before the World Tree could even make its escape, Oliver had already emerged victorious, his colossal body now drawing closer.

“Eat you? I won’t devour you like the Níemogrs would,” Oliver said with a ugh. What he wanted was to control this tree, to transpnt it into his gem space. In that void-like expanse, with the World Tree and the flesh of Ymir beneath its roots… Perhaps, within this gem space, pnets and continents could form even earlier than in the chaos outside, giving birth to a new universe. His instincts told Oliver that once he achieved this goal, his gem would gain a tremendous boost!

“You won’t eat me? How can I trust you?” the World Tree questioned.

Oliver couldn’t help but ugh. “Trust me? I don’t need you to trust me.” Before his words even finished, Oliver’s massive snake body gave a sudden shake, and the gray gem flew out, radiating an intensely brilliant light that enveloped the World Tree.

  “Come inside!”

Under the spatial domain of the gem, the World Tree already felt as though it were shackled, barely able to move. Now, it sensed an incomparably powerful suction force rushing toward it. The World Tree struggled desperately, but it was no use. Soon, it was completely sucked into the primal space within the gem! This was because anything entering the gem space would be drastically reduced in size.

  “Where… is this?”

At that moment, the terrified World Tree couldn’t help but release its soul power, spreading it outward to explore this space. To its astonishment, it discovered that the space inside this gem was unimaginably vast, its interior utterly primal, almost indistinguishable from the chaos outside.

“Though chaos is primal, it’s the most suitable ‘soil’ for the growth of countless ws. In truth, it’s incredibly difficult to form. And yet, this giant snake’s treasure space is the same as the chaos outside? This treasure is extraordinary!” The World Tree couldn’t help but marvel. If Oliver truly bore no ill will toward it, living in this space wouldn’t be much different from the outside world. In fact, it might be the perfect pce for it to recover.

Meanwhile, outside, Oliver felt deeply satisfied after collecting the World Tree. For now, he hadn’t yet thought about creating a new universe within the gem space or what exactly he’d do next. What he needed to do now was absorb the chaotic energy left behind by the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands, of Níemogrs! These creatures were far stronger than any monster Oliver had encountered before, and there were so many of them. The amount of chaotic energy lingering in their bodies was truly substantial!

As time ticked by, the immense chaotic energy was continuously absorbed by Oliver, and his size began to expand dramatically once more! Two hundred thousand… two hundred fifty thousand… three hundred thousand—finally, the number settled at four hundred thousand kilometers! Looking at his stats, Oliver had successfully advanced to Level 10!

It’s said that Level 10 is a special milestone for all deities. Standing at this stage meant Oliver’s power was vastly different from before! And even more noteworthy… his understanding of the w of poison had deepened, rising to +3! Those Níemogrs were highly adept with toxins, and the chaotic energy they left behind after death contained a significant amount of the w of poison!

Oliver had already grasped a certain level of the w of poison. This new w greatly enhanced his poison abilities! Based on his understanding of the chaotic world thus far, Oliver knew his skills could be enhanced up to nine times. In other words, if a skill reached a mark like “+9,” it would signify that the skill had reached the pinnacle of its w! Oliver’s w of poison had now jumped straight to +3—a massive leap!

Even the unenhanced w of poison had proven astonishingly effective in numerous battles, allowing Oliver to easily defeat his enemies. Now that this skill had been boosted to +3, it was easy to imagine how much simpler it would be for him to hunt down other opponents in the future! Although Oliver was only Level 10, his overall combat strength was such that even Level 11 or Level 12 enemies were likely no match for him—Oliver felt that he was now as powerful as the protagonist of a novel, haha!

“It’s time to check on that World Tree again…”

Oliver extended his consciousness into the interior of the gem space. At this moment, the inside of the gem space was still the same as before—vast and void-like. However, the World Tree was stretching its branches and leaves, its condition noticeably better than before, with lush foliage and even appearing to have grown taller. Back then, its size had been simir to Oliver’s, but now Oliver was nearly 400,000 kilometers long, having grown tremendously. This was due to him absorbing the chaotic energy from those Níemogrs.

The World Tree, on the other hand, hadn’t absorbed any of the Níemogrs’ energy, yet its size had also increased significantly, still roughly matching Oliver’s. It had originally been in an injured state, but now it had recovered. Looking at its status panel again, sure enough, this guy had risen from Level 8 to Level 9! This left Oliver somewhat amazed—worthy of being a mythical entity that pyed an incredibly important role, supporting the entire universe; its growth potential was truly astonishing!

“So, how about it? This gem space of mine isn’t any worse than the outside world, right? Have you ever thought about becoming my servant? As long as you agree, you can live here forever without worrying about being hunted by deities like those Níemogrs!” Oliver’s voice echoed through the space, booming and resonant.

  “Become your servant?”

The World Tree’s branches and leaves swayed—honestly, as a special existence among the deities with exceptional innate talent, it naturally carried some pride. Become someone else’s servant? Impossible! But it had to be said, Oliver’s offer was somewhat tempting. This gem space of Oliver’s was almost identical to the chaotic environment outside, and it had experienced tremendous growth here. Plus, there were no monsters like the Níemogrs hunting it—the temptation was overwhelming.

As a pnt-based deity with extraordinary talent, harboring numerous strange ws and primordial runes within its body, it was a prime target for countless deities to covet and pursue. Yet, as a pnt-based deity, it didn’t possess many means of attack. If it could truly grow in peace under someone’s protection, that did sound incredibly appealing! If Oliver had proposed from the start that it submit and become his servant, it would never have agreed, no matter what. But after Oliver had directly brought it into this gem space, letting it experience this period of tranquility and rapid growth, the World Tree was moved!
