51.Trapped by the Fate Hunter’s Fangs?

“That’s the legendary spider? Terrifying! Level 15 with a size like that—even Lord Tempestriax looks puny next to it.”

“So scary. Wonder when I’ll ever become a powerhouse like that…”

The other deities, seeing this giant spider show up, all gape, totally floored. Tempestriax and Thalassorath’s entrance already hit these regular deities with crazy pressure. They felt like ants in front of them—like the two could squash them any second.

But now, this giant spider Arachnethos? It’s leagues scarier than those two.

“My idol’s done for—gonna die here today?”

The deer-headed deity, who’s got a major crush on Oliver, feels a wave of despair, silently mourning him. A storm war god and a giant heir were bad enough—Oliver might not handle them. Now an even freakier spider deity’s here, also gunning to kill this snake.

  Can this snake even survive?

Everyone’s throwing pitying looks at Oliver.

The spider, right then, doesn’t even bother talking to Oliver. Instead, it locks eyes on Tempestriax and Thalassorath.

“Since you water palace folks want him dead too, how about handing this prey to me? Let me kill him. Do me a solid,” the spider deity says flat-out.

  “This…”

Thalassorath hesitates, glancing toward the massive water palace in the distance. But it’s dead quiet—no sound comes back. He gets it—Lord Aegir’s leaving this call to him.

So Thalassorath nods. “Arachnethos, I’ve heard about your beef with this snake. Since you’re here, the prey’s yours. But after you kill him, we’re taking at least half the loot.”

  “Deal.”

Truth is, Arachnethos would’ve nodded even if the giants wanted all the spoils. Killing this snake himself, avenging his brother—that’s enough for him. Sure, Arachnethos is a beast, but the giant clan’s power is so insane, even he’s gotta tread lightly.

Right now, these guys don’t even ask Oliver’s opinion—they just casually decide his fate like it’s nothing. That’s next-level arrogance and disrespect! To them, Oliver’s just a weakling snake with zero say in his own destiny—a prey, plain and simple. Either the giants’ crew kills him, or this spider does. Like food on a table, waiting to be divvied up.

Only after Arachnethos and the giants settle his fate does the spider finally carts finally look at Oliver, its gaze like a judge passing sentence.

“You’re that damn snake? You killed my brother. You’re gonna pay for that—with blood and your life, for the crime you committed!”

“Haha, you talk a big game. Wanna kill me? Bring it!”

Oliver smirks, dropping the act. His shrunken level 9 body suddenly balloons—4.4 million kilometers of terrifying snake coils across the area, making low-level deities gasp.

“This snake’s even bigger than the rumors!”

“Such a shame—a powerhouse like this, given more time, could’ve been on Arachnethos’s level!”

“Too reckless, picking fights with enemies he can’t handle!”

“Reckless? I’d say stupid. If he’d joined the water palace, gotten Lord Aegir’s protection, things might not be this bad.”

  The deities chatter away.

  “Die!”

Arachnethos says coolly, just wanting to finish off his prey. The second he speaks, his massive body zips toward Oliver like lightning, giant fangs snapping at him. His fangs spark swirling black-hole-like vortexes. Anywhere in the chaos space they touch, weird spiderweb-like cracks splinter out. His power’s so intense, it’s shattering the chaos world’s space itself!

No wonder he’s a legend—one move, and the deities watching from afar feel deep, primal fear. This biting attack looks basic, but it’s so stupidly strong it could wipe out any deity here. Even Tempestriax and Thalassorath feel like they’d struggle to block it.

“Is that snake just gonna die like that?”

“Such a pity. Heard plenty about him over the years—didn’t think a big name like this would go down so easy.”

“That’s just how the chaos works, right? Some deities are strong, but there’s always stronger ones. Get unlucky, catch the fallout from a bigger fight, and you’re dead. Happens all the time.”

“Besides, this snake’s not dying for nothing—he pissed off way too many people…”

While the deities sigh, Oliver’s already striking back!

“Going for a raw bite? So it’s a contest of strength and fang sharpness?”

On that front, Oliver’s got total confidence. His stat panel’s no weaker than this spider’s. Facing those terrifying fangs, Oliver doesn’t hesitate—he activates his S-tier item, Bloodreaver! Course, without sacrificing his own flesh, the sword’s power’s only A-tier level. Even so, it’s more than enough to handle this spider’s fang attack!

  Boom!

Their attacks clash, the sound like a thousand volcanoes erupting, cracking the chaos space itself.

  “Huh? You actually blocked that?!”

Arachnethos lets out a shocked yelp, his massive claws clacking together, showing his surprise.

  “You… you’re not level 13—you’re 15! And your strength’s on my level!”

He can’t help shouting, a glint of seriousness in his eyes.

Tempestriax and Thalassorath swap a look, both catching the shock in each other’s eyes.

“This snake’s grown this fast? He was just 13 a few centuries ago… What kind of crazy encounter did he have in the Chaos Fire Sea?”

“Damn it—if this spider hadn’t shown up, we might’ve had a real fight on our hands today…”

Tempestriax can’t help feeling a twinge of regret. Sure, he and Thalassorath are level 14, but facing this level 15 snake? He’s not scared—more like pumped. Both of them have taken down higher-level foes before—level’s not everything. If Oliver’s 15, a fight with him wouldn’t be so boring.

Even now, Tempestriax is cocky, thinking him and Thalassorath could take the snake out—it’d just take some time and effort, that’s all.
