Oliver finally opens his eyes, and at that moment, the power of Fate swirls around his body. For a split second, Ygg the World Tree and the others can even see doubles of Oliver—not an illusion, but projections of his past and future selves flickering into view. It’s a bit like the Triple Fate skill that big spider used. But Oliver’s not quite there to pull off that move yet. His grasp of the Fate primal rune’s only at +1 right now.
Like Arachnethos, Oliver would need to use the Rune Gem to boost his Fate rune to +3 to use that skill. The Rune Gem’s a consumable, so Oliver can’t mess around testing it—kinda a bummer.
After digesting the Fate rune, Oliver doesn’t snap awake. He dives into the Wind rune next, left behind in the chaos energy clump from that so-called storm war god. Just like that, another few centuries roll past.
Feeling the Fate and Wind powers pulsing in him, Oliver opens his eyes and checks his stat panel:

I hit level 16? Oliver’s stoked. This whole time, he wasn’t just mastering Fate and Wind laws—he devoured all the chaos energy left by the spider and the storm war god. The energy those two left behind was crazy rich, bumping Oliver up a level. Compared to level 15, all his stats jumped by about 80,000 to 100,000.

Just glancing at this panel, you can tell how beastly Oliver is now. Of course, the panel can expand—like the +7 Chaos Gem, which gives him skills like World Will, Authority of Creation, Weakening Pulse, and more.
“Master, you’re awake?” As Oliver’s thinking, a wave of excited, noisy voices hits his ears.
He turns and spots Ygg, Black Wolf, and the crew, surrounded by a bunch of new deities Oliver doesn’t know. There’s about 500 of these newbies, strength all over the place—weakest at level 7, strongest pushing level 12. Clearly, these are the deities Black Wolf and the gang recruited while he was out.
Only a few hundred? That number’s not cutting it for Oliver. His gem space is massive now—think Milky Way big, or bigger. It could easily house tens of thousands of deities, their families, and offspring.
Seeing Oliver’s not thrilled, Black Wolf Lycoris drops to the ground, groveling. “Great Master, I’m sorry—I failed to do better at the task you gave me. Black Wolf accepts your punishment…”
“If you messed up, punishment’s coming. But first, tell me why you only got this many,” Oliver asks, voice low.
“Master, we underestimated how strong the giant factions are in the chaos world right now…” Black Wolf explains cautiously.
Turns out, across the chaos world’s Basins, deities’ big dream is still joining one of two groups: the giant faction or the Glimmers faction. Oliver’s Ouroboros Abyss? Barely anyone’s biting. Main reason? Oliver’s not seen as strong enough.
Sure, a while back, he put on a hell of a show outside the water palace, flexing serious power. But that was just in the Water Palace Basin. Folks trust giants to protect them not just ‘cause of Aegir—who’s only level 17. It’s the giant bloodline—there’s countless other heavy-hitters like him in their clan. Even deities stronger than Aegir hesitate to cross him ‘cause he’s got a horde of powerful giants backing him.
But Oliver? The outside world still thinks he’s level 15, a lone wolf. So how many deities are gonna sign up with him?
Hearing Black Wolf and Ygg’s explanation, Oliver gets it—recruiting followers isn’t something you rush. Still, since some deities have joined, he’s decided to train them up right.
So, right there in the void, Oliver coils up and starts chanting primal runes! Of course, he’s chanting the ones he’s got—Poison, Elemental, Darkness, Death, and so on. Other deities aren’t like Oliver, with the Book of the Chaos Era and the Well of Urd’s baptism. For them, mastering a primal rune is insanely tough—thousands, tens of thousands of years, or even till they die, they might not crack one.
By chanting these runes now, Oliver’s giving them a sliver of a chance. Even if they can’t master the rune, they’ll pick up some resistance to it. Basically, just hearing Oliver chant these primal runes and share his insights gets these deities a boost—makes them stronger! If some are super lucky with a knack for a certain rune, they might actually master it and skyrocket in power. That’s up to their talent.
“Lord Snake, mastering so many primal runes and sharing them like this… I made the right call coming here!” one deity can’t help cheering, hyped and feeling lucky.
“So badass. No wonder the outside world’s sleeping on this snake’s strength. Makes sense he’d dare start his own faction solo—maybe Ouroboros Abyss could really be the third big player in the chaos world…” Some deities who came to scope things out change their tune, deciding to join Oliver’s crew.
Oliver’s rune-chanting session has every deity looking respectful, like grade-schoolers in class, staring at him in awe as he recites. “Teacher!” “Professor!” Some deities start calling him that. Of course, those are terms Oliver taught them.
A brand-new relationship, never seen in the chaos world, takes shape! The teacher-student bond!
“Professor, teacher…” Oliver can sense a brand-new rune, called ‘Precept,’ slowly taking shape. This is none other than his Kragma-Pact, the Rune of Teaching, now blossoming into a radiant force of divine authority. This is something the chaos world never had before. A unique, original rune created by Oliver Stark himself!
By chaos rules, there can only be 144,000 runes, so no new ones should pop up. Oliver quickly realizes this rune isn’t from the chaos—it’s from his gem space! The gem space is a totally different world from the chaos, so it makes sense it’d have its own law runes.
“A primal rune that’s mine alone!” Oliver’s pumped. He just had a random spark to teach other deities about primal runes, and it led to this discovery! He’s got a hunch—if he keeps teaching, perfecting and strengthening this rune’s power, its potential’s gonna blow him away!
