40: Inferno’s Requiem – The Final Spark

  **The Poisoned Prison**

Bel’s final act of defiance dissolved into a choked gasp as neurotoxins flooded her nervous system. Her knees buckled, the Wind’s Embrace flickering out like a dying star. Through blurring vision, she watched Kiki stride from the Soul-Devouring Urn, its obsidian surface sealing shut with a sound like a coffin lid smming.

"Rest well, old friend," Kiki purred, trailing emerald-tinged fingers across the urn’s grotesque carvings. "We’ll have such *fun* when you wake."

The Domain unraveled in cascading shards of broken reality, revealing Akatai Castle’s battle-scarred silhouette. Kiki hovered amid the ruins, scanning for Dick’s signature explosions—

  ***CRACK-THOOOOOM!***

Golden lightning split her mist-form diagonally. As venomous particles struggled to coalesce, Kiki looked down to see Yu Hang bleeding but unbowed, fnked by a crackling human storm—a teen girl with hair like liquid sunlight and eyes bzing with contained supernovas.

"**WHERE IS SHE?**" Yu Hang’s roar shook loose stones from crumbling parapets.

Kiki’s ugh dripped honeyed malice. "Safe. For now."

  ### **Dance of the Doomed**

Within the Bck Earth’s smoldering hellscape, Qin Hong’s Prison Kill Barrier flickered like a dying bulb.

  "Three! Four! Five—!"

The temporal stasis shattered a heartbeat early. Dick’s cluster bombs detonated in overpping spheres of annihition, the shockwaves hurling Qin Hong through a hail of superheated shrapnel.

*Domain rules override my powers,* he realized mid-tumble, skin blistering from radiant heat. *His territory, his ws.*

"**Finale: Stelr Rain!**" Dick’s voice boomed from the caldera’s heart.

A meteor shower of glowing boulders streaked across the ash-choked sky. Each impact birthed secondary explosions, the ground transmuting into a minefield of molten gss. Qin Hong danced through the apocalypse—rolling under concussive bsts, vaulting over magma geysers, Voidcutter singing as it sliced temporary shelters into the fabric of space.

"Still breathing?" Dick mocked from his obsidian throne. "Let’s raise the tempo!"

  A football-sized asteroid screamed downward—

—only for Qin Hong to smirk and snap his fingers.

  ***SWAP.***

The throne erupted in a fireball, Dick’s scream harmonizing with the detonation.

  ### **The Last Waltz**

Smoke cleared to reveal Qin Hong standing over a crater, Voidcutter leveled at Dick’s ravaged form. The bomber knelt amidst smoldering rocks, skin sloughing off in charcoal fkes, yet still grinning through cracked lips.

"Surrender," Qin Hong panted, bde trembling. "Live to fight another day."

Dick’s chuckle bubbled with internal bleeding. "Live? *Boy*, you still don’t understand."

  His remaining flesh began *glowing*.

Qin Hong’s pupils constricted. Tendrils of white energy snaked through Dick’s exposed muscuture, the air warping from sudden heat.

"Absolute Domain: Overdrive." The bomber’s voice gained metallic harmonics. "When I die..."

The Bck Earth *shuddered*. Cracks spiderwebbed across the ashen pins, hellish radiance bleeding through.

"...this entire realm becomes my parting gift."

  ---

  ### **Stelr Colpse**

  Time dited.

Qin Hong’s Voidcutter fshed—too te. Dick’s body achieved critical mass, a miniature sun blooming in the Domain’s heart.

*Can’t outrun,* the youth realized, spatial rifts colpsing under the energy surge. *Can’t contain.*

Memories flickered—training sessions with Guan Lan, Naya’s reluctant smiles, Merkel’s awful dog impressions.

  *Sorry everyone.*

  The light consumed all.
