PROLOGUE

There are four gods that once reigned in harmony over the world of Elgraad:

The God of Creation — who breathed life into the seas and skies.

The God of Order — who shaped laws, balance, and the turning of seasons.

The God of Chaos — who sowed chance, passion, and the unknown.

The God of Destruction — who ended all things, so they may begin anew.

For millennia, they danced in balance. Creation built, Order refined, Chaos stirred, and Destruction cleared the way.

  But balance is not eternal.

Order, obsessed with control, turned on its siblings, rewriting nature’s law. Chaos, once free-spirited, spiraled into madness, whispering delirium across the lands. Creation wept and withdrew, leaving her children to a crumbling world.

Only Destruction remained sane—and silent. Bound by divine law, she could not interfere directly. Yet she saw the world bleeding from the wounds of its own gods. And so, as was tradition every hundred years, she and the others chose champions—Pillars, children of the four dominant races: Humans, Elves, Demons, and Thirens.

These Pillars were to act as anchors to restore balance. But the system was corrupted long ago. Chosen children became weapons of nations, pawns of divine conflict. Peace never came. Only blood and fire.

In the last cycle, Destruction made a desperate gamble. She did not choose a born Pillar—but a soul from another world. A weak, dying boy from Earth. A boy who had never known power, only pain. A boy who once smiled only for his mother.

  His name was Logan Rille.

He was gifted strength, purpose, and a promise:

“Complete your task, and I shall grant you one wish.”

  He failed.

Now, Logan returns. Not as a blank slate—but as a man haunted by his past failure. The world remembers nothing. But he remembers everything.

The Pillars rise again. The gods watch. The world cracks beneath their gaze.

And Destruction smiles quietly, waiting to see what her False Pillar will do the second time around.
