Chapter 6: The Arrival

The pne carrying the two journalists was making its nding. The pne, a private jet, typically within the range of a smaller type like a commercial pne, neared the nding zone. As it was still up in the air, slowly and surely adjusting its descent, the pne made the nding; the wheels skidding off the tracks, and the fps pulled out to withstand the force of the impact upon nding.

Inside Arrival, the first person to appear was Alice. Looking at her, she looked completely worn out from the flight. "Ah finally were out of that impossible-to-live-seat!" she said in exaggeration while putting on an exhausting moan.

Paur Airlines. That was the name of the commercial airline. The name of the airline, Paur, sometimes has a jokingly pronounciation as poor - yet, it couldn't be far from the truth.

As it stands for public recognition, the Paur airlines is technically a low budget cost cutting business, that's what the papers say anyways. The airline was even banned in several countries due to failure many aspects in their pnes, such as the use of cheaper materials integrated INSTEAD of putting the safety of their passengers first. But for somehow, and their fortunate luck, Paur airlines is still green on the radar.

"I can't believe it," Alice said.

"Believe what?" Luna asked not noticing Alice's frustration as she went to get a cart.

"Like can you believe it, like really, Paur airlines. I thought these guys would have already called ot quits and be on their way, but noooo, their still pumping blood-" Alice released her anger.

"At least its over," Luna said as they strolled to the conveyor belt where their luggage are being pulled out. "I wouldn't want to go a second time.....Come on, lets get our stuff."

It took them a couple of seconds as they looked into the luggages that appeared when the conveyor belt moved. After going here and there, and collecting their luggages, they exited through the exit. Just as they were walking, an auspicious looking man loomed around the corner and with it on him a sign read: pick-up for Alice and Luna.

"Yay, heads up," Luna said calmly. "Looks like that's our ride."

"Yeah, kinda sus if you ask me," Alice clicked her eyebrows and her eyes sharp like an eagle.

Dressed in formal office attire, the man wore a bck trousers, a white undershirt only seen close to his long bck tie, and a bck coat with long sleeves. Bck hair and a perfect looking face for a model, he had the eyes like that of a dimly lit room as if empty inside.

Luna stopped a some inches from him and leaned over just sure enough to speak to the man in bck. "Excuse me, sir, are you by any chance waiting for someone?" Luna asked. She asked in a casual manner.

Though it felt only for a brief second or so, the man in bck was not hesitant in any case as he gave his own reply just as Luna finished hers. "Greeting Ms Luna and Ms Alice, it is a pleasure to be meeting you."

Shocked in awe, Luna wonder how he knew their names. But that all disappeared when he continued to speak. "....And if you are wondering how I know your names, I've been given some information on details regarding your visit."

"Do not worry," he said absolutely reassured, "I'm only here as your pick-up."

  "Now, shall we move on."

"Yes, I, I mean we should go." Luna accepted the butler's kindness.

  This was unexpected.

Sitted they are comfortably in the car, Luna didn't expect that they would be treated with luxury; that the car was more than enough to make Luna come to her senses. Bck and sleek, this type of cars are only affordable by the rich or those that have saved enough to make such a purchases. For them to be enjoying such a thing, made Luna think, were they really on their job or were they somewhere else.

As Luna pondered her head, thinking for a while, it was Alice who was sitted beside Luna, she had a different approach to the driver. She locked her head up and stared at the driver. Her eyes were like snarling devil. Her smile, a somewhat distaste frown. The expression she gives is doubtful, worry, and prepared to act.

She wonders the same as Luna but does so in a different light, one that she cannot allow herself to fail, if the the time neared.

Seeing Alice's facial expression through the small mirror on the top, the driver, the butler, could see the worrisome emotion she portrayed but did not show, for he too knew of how one should act. Then he spoke first to ease of whatever tension that is arising within the car, even if they don't see it. "You must have so much question to ask, if you don't mind," the butler said. "I assure you, I can answer, but it comes from me. I don't know much but I can do the best of my ability."

"What'll it be?" He added. He looked at the mirror and back on the road.

It was then that Luna bobbed her head when the driver said it was okay to ask questions. "Oh yes, then if don't mind, what -"

"Who are you and where are you taking us?!" Unfortunately Alice cut her off and asked two mind boggling questions that seemed quite rude to Luna's eyes.

"Alice, what are doing?" Luna whispered.

"WHhhhAT! I'm just asking a question?"

"Yes, it's alright, but do have some curtusy." Luna schooled her.

The driver heard everything. He found the two arguing quite embarrassing. He too was embarrassed.

"I'll answer yours Ms Alice," the butler said which caught the two girls who were squirming like children. He didn't seem upset but just went with it.

The butler caught his breath for a second and then spoke with a subtle tone. He introduced himself, "My name is Yjir. That is the only name I have."

"I was told by my senior to escort two important people. I didn't know why and who, but I was given some information to help me on my way."

"I was told that Ms Alice and Luna were reporters, right?" He injected.

  "Yeah, so?"

"My work handles basic necessities with those of less fortunate circumstances. Not a small one but one big business that has runned for many generations. I am employed there."

The car drove on the road centred on an open field of greenary as they were far away from the airport. Mountain sides on both sides of the road, but very farther as the distances covers hours and hours.

"My Asvon, the business I work at and is of my home, will take you in."

  "So it's like a hotel?"

"Yes, that is right," the butler said. "A hotel for you to stay and wait for sometime - about three days so - before you can go."

Alice thought, 'three days? I guess they won't let us in that easy.' It might be impossible to enter the mining site too early as they have to get an id and check and everything until there all set. Security must be tough.

It sounded as though that finished the butler's answer but Alice still had some questions yet to be proved. She spoke again.

"Okay then, if that's all, why give us a ride. I'm sure could do it our own, get a hotel room on our own, and wait until registration is done."

"Why the car and hotel? Why give us this service?"

When hit with a hard question the butler looked like he was about to sweat. Luckily, the butler, had his response. Not of what he told to say but something he just came up with from the bottom of his heart. "I will say that, Tutsvar felt generous and offered an invitation as a form of welcome after two years in quarantine." He smiled.
