Chapter 2- The Epic Mythological War in the Room

Li Qing began searching for logical fws in Ning Guochang's cims.

Yet he found no major theoretical issues.

Most bacteria are single-celled organisms with only four to five thousand genes. This makes it easy to decipher and reprogram specific parts of their genetic code.

Due to their small size, genes can be maniputed like tiny building blocks in one's hand. Bacteria can effortlessly perform microscopic surgeries—like nuclear transpntation, gene injection, and chromosome microsurgery—that humans struggle to achieve under microscopes.

This scenario resembled a science fiction doomsday movie, as if Pandora's box had been opened.

Suppressing his astonishment, Li Qing half-joked:

"If this is true, and you can grant bacteria intelligence, then the bacterial civilization explosion in this room could rival your zombie virus. This is an evolutionary history world-ending event. No wonder you've isoted yourself."

Ning Guochang nodded. "Exactly. Earth's billions of years of life history show evolution as random as buying lottery tickets—searching for one winning number among trillions. But they actively seek that one-in-a-trillion chance. Their evolution speed is countless times faster than humans'!"

"As a Zombie Lord, I possess the ability to control living organisms. Currently, my mental power can only command a bacterial army of 0.0023 grams. Any more than that, and I lose control."

"Recently, I accidentally observed the Wisdom-Awakened microorganisms with my eyes. They weighed at least several hundred grams, far exceeding my control limit. They went out of control... I couldn't restrain them as they climbed across the table. It was difficult to crush them with my palm. I tried using my 0.0023 gram army to eliminate them, resulting in a war between two forces."

"The enemy bacteria reprogrammed their genetic structures, creating fgelted warhorses in the microscopic world. They developed bows and arrows, catapults."

"The troops I controlled were all elite forces, but ultimately, they were only 0.0023 grams. The enemy had at least seven hundred grams. My kingdom was completely annihited. Later, fortunately, I reacted in time and used medical alcohol to exterminate the uncontrolble ones..."

Li Qing listened in astonishment. He looked at the table in the isotion room for a long time before saying, "For their civilization, that must have been a world-ending flood."

"Yes! That flood was earth-shattering, leaving corpses strewn across the nd wherever it went!"

Ning Guochang's voice was low and raspy, still haunted by memories of that terrifying war-like disaster scene, as magnificent as a myth.

"At the time, my eyes were surveying that kingdom battle. The opposing side called themselves the Valkaral Kingdom, using a massive mite-like beast as their mythic totem."

"But they were quite foolish, not yet evolved enough in intelligence. They gathered together for their assault, which made it easy for me to wipe them out in one wave."

  Li Qing found this intriguing.

  Civilizations had different "dimensions."

To them, were we humans gods?

  Perhaps.

In the eyes of bacteria, we are colossal beings from higher dimensions, too vast to behold.

This great flood caused their civilization's mass extinction.

It's worth noting that Earth's history has witnessed five major extinction events:

The Ordovician extinction event, the Devonian extinction event, the Permian extinction event, the Triassic extinction event, and the most recent and widely known Cretaceous extinction event 65 million years ago, which marked the end of the dinosaur era.

"After that, I started closing my eyes and wearing sungsses because I was afraid of more accidents happening."

Ning Guochang, trembling with anxiety, exhaled deeply. "There's a limit to how much I can control. If more uncontrolled Microbial Kingdoms appear, that would be truly terrifying."

It must be said, the mental patient's imagination is rich. The story of bacterial civilization and this creator's tale is quite interesting, worthy of serialization on the internet.

But all these abnormalities might not be just stories.

Then things are really becoming serious.

"What about the remaining ones?" Li Qing followed his train of thought, trying to calm his agitated emotions, and attempted to find logical inconsistencies in his argument. "After the great flood, shouldn't some scattered bacterial species have survived?"

"Yes, not many remain. They've hidden away, though we don't know where they've gone. But it doesn't matter," Ning Guochang said bluntly. "They can't cause any waves now. Though they might want to assassinate me, this god, perhaps staging a Jing Ke-style assassination attempt in this sterile workshop."

"Those righteous warriors sought vengeance for their fallen kingdom. Do you understand Assassin's Creed? Heroes of the lost nation rode fgelted warhorses, unching sneak attacks across the nd. They even succeeded in penetrating my protective forces using feint tactics. They breached my skin's patrol lines, infiltrating my body to cause chaos. But their damage was limited to individual cells - my immune system swiftly eliminated them."

Li Qing, startled, immediately responded: "Then they've learned from their mistakes and grown smarter. This time, they'll employ military strategy."

But regardless of truth or falsehood, can this pce still be called a sterile workshop?

The entire interior must be teeming with bacteria by now.

Li Qing's expression grew increasingly peculiar as he continued: "Your story truly twists and turns like a mountain path. It's far more thrilling than your previous account of zombie life experiences."

Ning Guochang said: "At that time, there was still hope. I barely managed to kill the uncontrolble microbial colony before it caused this irreversible mistake."

"This current mistake?" Li Qing asked.

Ning Guochang remained silent for several seconds, then took a deep breath as if mustering tremendous courage: "Until three days ago! While bathing, I let my guard down!"

"That day, I was trying to adjust to these intense fears. I drank a little wine and watched some TV. When I realized what was happening, I'd accidentally been observing my own body..."

"You awakened all the microbes in your body?" In that moment, Li Qing felt as if he'd stumbled upon some horrifying ghost story. A strange, inexplicable terror spread through his entire body.

Even without medical training, anyone who'd taken high school biology knew:

The human body, from inside to out, is teeming with countless microbes and bacterial communities.

Humans and microbes exist in symbiosis.

"Yes, I... I created another uncontrolble kingdom. This time, it was born within my own body," Ning Guochang's voice pulled Li Qing from his fear. His tone was unexpectedly calm. "Did you know? The human body is a complex ecological kingdom. An adult's body contains approximately 60 trillion somatic cells, while the number of bacteria forming stable symbiotic retionships with the human body reaches 100 trillion."

"Some of them have awakened. They're seeping and crawling through every part of me, from the inside out."

He extended his hand, silently gazing at the cracked skin resembling snake scales. His earnest face seemed to carefully count the microbes crawling in his pores:

"See? They're watching me. My body has become a massive kingdom!"

"The 0.0023 grams of microbial forces my mental power can control are far too small to eliminate them."

"I tried bathing with alcohol, but it was useless. There are simply too many, impossible to wash out."

Ning Guochang sat in the chair opposite the gss, his back hunched, bearing immense invisible pressure. His voice sounded like that of a weathered old man:

"These creatures are building armies in my body, creating new life forms - all kinds of grotesque shapes."

"My body is like the origin of all life in the universe. It's fracturing, disintegrating, and they keep pouring out of me, busily moving about to build their kingdom."

The man locked himself in this sealed room and suddenly mocked himself:

"Perhaps I'm about to die. When I colpse and disintegrate, that will be the moment this Pangu in the room creates heaven and earth."

  Is all this real?

You're not deceiving me? You called me here because you're truly dying? Is there really a world waiting for me to inherit?

Li Qing's heart fell silent, feeling his entire perspective completely overturned.

It was like watching a war movie about civilizations. The man sitting in the chair, who seemed to be suffering from severe delusions, was that majestic giant who created the world's civilization.

The entire isotion workshop was like a new Earth, about to perish, ready to create heaven and earth.
