Chapter 10- Dispatching the Vanguard to Explore the World

"Damnation! It's instantaneous! This time it's instantaneous! Is this the power of the God?"

Emperor Atabia took a deep breath. The destruction this time came without any casting animation, contrary to the multiple analyses conducted by their King's Council. They had believed there would be sufficient time to retreat.

  Soon.

"Exposure for more than three seconds will cause physical problems..." Under the protection of the Guardian Corps, Emperor Atabia swiftly entered the Giant Serpent Ark and fled into the distance.

However, those citizens who failed to take shelter in the ark, exposed for mere seconds, began emitting pained cries. Their bodies burned with intense agony, as if suffering from nuclear radiation, and they started melting rapidly like wax statues.

The bewitching purple haze enveloped the earth, killing silently.

  "What an evil Outer God!"

Hidden in the shelter, Emperor Atabia observed the sky through the ark's perception system, consumed by fury.

  Giant God!

  Evil Giant God!

The Wise Ones gazed at the giant shrouded in clouds beyond the world, a profound sense of helplessness coiling in their hearts. They could only watch helplessly as their people once again faced the camity of extinction.

  At that moment.

Behind him, a minister offered words of comfort:

"Your Majesty, there's no need to worry. Before we came to see the Evil God, we had already evacuated our people. Most have taken shelter in the shelters, and by now, they've probably all entered."

  The reality proved true.

A vast number of citizens had indeed prepared and entered the shelters.

Now, across the entire world, one could see fish swimming through the sea, suffering from intense ultraviolet radiation.

Yet the terrifying Violet Heaven Divine Thunder struck the fish, causing their cells to slowly peel off and rot.

Even some engineers with mediocre skills, who built subpar shelters, saw their vessels colpse instantly. The fish disintegrated into a pool of decaying flesh, their controlling brain cells—still connected to the fish—heading toward destruction alongside them.

  Gurgle...

Like fish in an oxygen-deprived pond, many fish began flipping their bellies upward at the surface, rapidly decomposing and dying.

Meanwhile, the skilled engineers were still struggling.

They transformed into frenzied repairmen, desperately patching up the fish. Through mad evolution, they forced the proliferation of numerous cells to repair the rotting hull, but it was likely only a matter of time before they too would fail.

  "Damned!"

Emperor Atabia had long suspected such a situation. He sprang into action:

"Let's begin! Our Atabia's Age of Fish has already begun to colpse. We must evolve into the next civilized organism form to resist the Evil God's radiance!"

They raced against time within the national engineering department—the Fish King's interior.

The King Fish, ruler of their species, evolved faster. The more it developed resistance to the Death Ray, the more it could distribute this ability to other fish, reducing their citizens' decline!

The fish swarm struggled, rapidly adapting to their environment.

As Emperor Atabia analyzed the ultraviolet light's corrosive power while attempting new gene editing techniques, his thoughts grew increasingly turbulent:

"This light exists in a realm beyond our comprehension... The world beyond the Crystal Wall holds those magnificent Evil Gods. Their civilizations and power are truly enviable!"

  What awe-inspiring, splendid power.

What colossal, invincible, and bloated forms.

Mysterious, majestic, towering, and infinitely powerful Divine Arts—these had destroyed their kingdom in an instant, filling him with profound terror.

As he studied, watching the fish swim about, he saw the surrounding sea creatures dying in agony. One by one, the common people colpsed in despair, their wails filling the air.

He could only watch helplessly, powerless to act.

"King, pull yourself together!" the ministers urged.

Emperor Atabia remained silent for a moment before responding:

"No, it's not the departure of suffering people or the destruction of civilization that pains me. It's witnessing how our civilization has repeatedly failed to find answers through its efforts."

"When we gained wisdom, we also developed an insatiable thirst for knowledge in this world."

"What is the true shape of the world?"

"Is the outer world simir to ours?"

"Our world is square with four corners. Does the universe exist as multiple rooms like this? What is truth? How were we born? What forms does life take? Is gene expression the root of everything?"

"I hope to lead our civilization before the next Evil God attack, break through the world's limitations, overcome the destruction beyond the Crystal Wall, and live to truly understand the world's truth."

In the face of this mass extinction, he once again posed questions about truth.

  ***

  It's getting too hot.

Li Qing had been irradiating the specimen for five or six minutes. The massive creature was now scalding to the touch, and the UV light reflecting off the gss made his skin tingle painfully.

  High-intensity UV radiation is carcinogenic.

  I don't want cancer.

Judging the exposure time sufficient, he shut it down.

Few realize these devices operate like super-bright fshlights - prolonged use can overheat and destroy them. After borrowing such an expensive piece of b equipment, ruining it would mean certain doom for both himself and Doraemon. The Asian Buff's advantages would be wasted.

  Today's apocalypse ends here.

  Whoosh!

He slowly opened his Microscopic Eye.

The ground was littered with fish corpses the size of mites - a successful experiment.

"They only cked UV exposure. But even UV can't harm multicellur organisms... UV sterilization mostly kills single-celled microbes."

Li Qing sighed but remained composed.

"Time to prepare the next extermination method."

They're advancing too quickly. Our first encounter was with a single cell waving four fgel, pretending to be human.

"This time, we encountered eighteen-celled wax figurines of bizarre humanoid creatures..."

"Next time, human-shaped entities won't be surprising."

Though still within the realm of multicellur organisms, this isn't a superpower movie. On present-day Earth, no creature's bones or flesh could possibly be harder than steel, capable of breaching boratory's copper walls and iron barriers.

  At least not yet.

The only pusible threat might be them developing strong acids to corrode the gss barrier.

But even that would require far more time than they had.

Yet Li Qing remained vigint, employing strategic contempt while maintaining tactical caution.

He recalled Ning Guochang's words: "Humans are merely tool-wielding monkeys. Measuring unknown civilizations by our arrogant standards is ughable."

Who knew what might emerge beyond human comprehension?

Thus, after the ultraviolet radiation, Li Qing didn't depart. Instead, he pulled the tube from his neck and addressed the children within:

"From now on, while this world faces mass extinction and has no time to spare for you, hide among their people. As our vanguard exploration team, go destroy their Atabia Kingdom."
