Chapter 4: Grim Environment

The man stood over the balcony, covered in black dust, as he looked over the ruined land that he controlled. A small creature with greasy green hair, and gray pale skin approached from behind. It was scrawny as if it starved. Its lips chapped severely. It tugged on the man's cloak. He turned to face him. His skin was a ghastly pale, as odd black scars laid rest on his skin. "What is it, you filthy creature?" The man asked.

"Masster... T-the others are nearly completed with the armor set for what y-you have planned..." The creature stated, its voice raspy. "I will come down to see soon. You know what happens if I'm disappointed..." The man replied. He gave off a sinister aura. The creature yelped, as he crawled backwards, "Y-yes, master! We hope to not disappoint you..." The creature quickly replied.

The man scoffed and continued looking outside. He gazed towards the sky. He would exact his revenge on the gods above in the Immortal Realm, as he tried to do 200 years ago. He groaned in frustration at the thought of his defeat. Not this time. He'd destroy the entirety of Great Eden, and force his way into the Immortal Realm, and kill all the gods. He walked inside his chamber, and wore his armor, made out of a tougher material than steel. He walked into the hall, observing the other creatures.

He looked at the incomplete armor set, and looked at a creature walk past him carrying a part of the armor. It was severely weakened, as its legs shook with every step it took. Eventually it fell, dropping the part. The creature hesitated and turned its head slowly to the man. He seemed infuriated. "Useless." He spoke. The creature stumbled to the man, tugging on his cloak. "P-please let me live, m-master!" The creature pleaded, but in a fell swoop, it collapsed, the head severed from the body.

"Dispose of this body now." The man said in a calm manner. The other creatures seemed unphased, and two complied, and carried the body to another area. He crouched down to another creature. "Pick up this armor piece, or everyone in this room is to die." He spoke. The creature gulped and crawled to the armor piece. "Y-yes, yes, master!" The creature cried.

Soon, his masterpiece would be made. "Know this. All of you. I am Tormund, the Exiled God. You all are to help me on my mission to kill the gods that control this world. I will enact revenge. I am the God of Death." He spoke. The small creatures seemed racked with fear. He left the room and walked outside.

Suddenly, Tormund's train of thought was interrupted. "Give me back my body. Please..." The voice pleaded. "No. We had a deal." Tormund replied. "Please. I want to repair my life that you ruined." The voice cried. "No. You accepted my offer. It's nice to know you have a clear mind now. Now that I have your body, I have every power from the temples that you obtained." Tormund said, "Now, if you excuse me. I'm going to visit a few people and get them to join my side."

He observed the land as a creatures climbed inside the deep pits to extract resources. He continued walking. "You can't do this. You'll be stopped." The voice said, full of hatred. "I doubt it. I'm more powerful than anyone else in the land with these powers. It's a good thing nobody has magic nowadays." Tormund replied. "B-because of you, right? I can see your memories. You caused 95% of the human race to die..." The voice stuttered. "Yes, now you get it. Nothing can stop me. Don't you understand? My goals are absolute." Tormund said.

"Now, shut the hell up. I have things to get done." Tormund commanded. The voice fell silent, as if they were deep in thought. Tormund continued walking.
