After two minutes, Lee found his group.
They were sitting on the ground, trying to recover their strength and stamina from carrying the Entelodon's body.
May, Jan, and Ira were talking on one side, having a small girl talk, while Oscar and Jack were on the other side, near the dead Entelodon's body.
Lee – "Guys, I found a cave a few minutes away from here with a small stream of water. Let's go there; it will be much safer than just standing here."
Ira looked at Lee and noticed his jacket was dirtier than before. – "Lee, why does your jacket look dirtier than before?"
Lee didn't want to tell her he had fought to save a bear cub and a turtle for nothing, so he lied and said, "Oh, this is from the fight before. You simply didn't notice it."
Ira could tell Lee wasn't telling her the truth, but she didn’t push him and let it go.
Oscar – "Jack, May, and Ira, let's move to the cave Lee found."
Jack complained – "I just started to feel my back again."
Oscar – "Let's move."
Oscar, Jack, May, and Ira lifted the Entelodon's body and carried it to the cave.
Boom!
The Entelodon's body fell.
Jack collapsed to the ground, exhausted from the walk. – "We’re finally here..."
Lee – "Guys, before we rest, we need to make camp with some food and fire. Jan, May, you go look for dry branches for the fire. Jack and Oscar, scan the area and see if there’s any danger around us. And—"
Jack – "Stop, stop! Who put you in charge here, boy? I think Oscar is more fit to be a leader."
Jan – "It’s hard to say this, but I think that asshole is right."
Oscar – "Guys, stop it. I’m just a soldier who already retired to take care of my little brothers and sisters. I know how to do the job, but I am not a leader. I think Lee is more fit for it than I am."
Ira smiled – "So it's decided. For now, Lee will be the leader."
(Do I even have a say in this? I just wanted us to be safe, so I gave them some orders, and before I knew it...) Lee thought.
Oscar – "Then it's decided. Lee will be the leader."
Lee sighed – "Okay, I'll be the leader for now. So, where were we? Oh, I remember. Jack, you need to find wood, branches, and bushes to hide the cave entrance. Jan and May, go look for dry branches. Ira, search around and see if you find anything useful. Oscar, come with me for a second—I want to talk to you."
Oscar – "Sure, Lee."
The others went out to do their assigned jobs.
Lee and Oscar sat on two rocks near the Entelodon's corpse.

Lee – "So, what do you think about what the guide told us earlier?"
Oscar – "When I killed that wild boar before, I really heard a voice telling me I got five points. So I believe what he said about killing your enemies to earn points and using them to enhance ourselves. But there's still so much to learn about this dimension, and I feel like I missed something important. What do you think, Lee?"
Lee – "Same as you, Oscar, but this dimension really doesn’t make sense at all. What do you think about the Entelodon beast?"
Oscar – "When I look at it, I can't help but think of the biggest wild boar. Maybe it's an ancestor beast of the wild boar from our world."
Lee – "What do you mean by 'ancestor beast'?"
Oscar – "Oh, you don’t know? How should I explain it... Once upon a time, a certain kind of animal lived. Then, due to environmental changes—like a lack of food—that species had to adapt at a cellular level. Its offspring gradually evolved to survive under new conditions. For example, reducing its size would lower its food intake. But this process takes millions of years. Do you get it?"
Lee – "Not quite, but sort of. So what you’re saying is that the wild boar's ancestor is the Entelodon, like the one I killed?"
Oscar looked at Lee with a serious face – "Basically, yes. But that’s not all. Maybe there are other, mightier and stronger ancestor beasts moving around on this island."
Lee – "But that can't be an ancestor beast. From what you said, they’ve been extinct for millions of years."
Oscar – "Usually, I’d agree with you. But that ancestor beast is right in front of us. I can’t shake the idea. And don’t forget—we're not in our world anymore. We’re in the God Dimension now."
(He's right... We're not in our world anymore.) Lee thought.
Oscar – "So, are we done here? I have other things to do."
Lee – "I think so."
As Lee was about to stand, he pushed himself up using his right hand on his knee. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through the spot where the Entelodon had bitten him.
Lee bit his lip to suppress a cry of pain.
Oscar noticed Lee's pained expression and grew suspicious. He reached out and grabbed Lee's right hand.
The pressure from Oscar’s grip made the pain even worse.
Lee bit his lip harder, to the point where blood began to seep out.
Seeing this, Oscar quickly lifted Lee’s sleeve. What he saw left him in shock—a deep bite mark above Lee’s elbow, surrounded by an ugly, dark purple bruise. He placed his hand over it and felt a strong, irregular pulse.
(This is a serious injury...) Oscar thought.
Oscar shouted, “Are you stupid? Do you want to die here? This wound is serious—it could easily get infected! And from your face, I can tell some bones are broken too. You didn’t feel all the pain earlier because of the adrenaline from the fight, but now that it's wearing off, it’s only going to get worse.”
Oscar turned to Jan – "Jan, give me some small tree branches! Lee is injured. Jack, give me one of your boots!"
Jack – "Okay, wait... What? Why do you need my boot?"
Oscar – "Shut up and do it!"
Oscar took his lighter and the branch from Jan to start a fire.
He filled the boot with water from a puddle inside the cave.
Then, Oscar took off his medallion, which had a bull-shaped pendant, and from his pocket, he pulled out a small watch.
Click. Click. The watch opened, revealing a yellow ointment inside.
He pressed the bull's horns, and a small scalpel emerged from the mouth of the bullhead.
He attached the scalpel to a thin tree branch and placed it in the boiling water.
(The boiling water will sanitize the scalpel and make it easier to cut the skin...) Oscar thought.
Oscar looked at Lee. “This is going to be harsh and painful.”
Lee groaned. “Wait, how do you know how to do this?”
Oscar replied, “Didn’t I tell you? I was a soldier before.”
Lee winced. “Yeah, you did. So you served as a—”
Oscar interrupted, “Combat medic. Now shut up and don’t resist.”
He grabbed a thick branch and thrust it into Lee’s mouth.
Then, Oscar made three deep incisions near Lee’s bite, causing dark blood to spill out.
He poured the boiling water over Lee’s wound.
Lee bit down on the branch so hard it snapped.
“Aahhhhhh...!” Lee screamed in agony.
