Chapter 11 Purple dust

Watching the unicorns levitate from below a hill the party thought over their

next move. “Any suggestions?” Wave patiently waits for some one to reply.

“What if we lure one out at a time?” Temple’s idea seems good but Willow

brings up the current problem with that. “That sounds like it could work, however

how do we go about luring just one unicorn?” There is a brief pause as none

of them can figure it out. “What if we had Shadow herd them until there was

only one left, and attacked it, moving back out of the other unicorns sights, until

we were in a spot that it was complete isolated from the rest of the group.”

Sky’s idea seemed like the best option, that is until Violet pointed something

out. “That would likely work for the first few, but the rest of the unicorns would

catch on pretty quickly.” “We will go with Sky’s idea for now and come up with

a new plan when they figure it out.”

“Ready Shadow?” Shadow looked at Wave and stepped forwards as a response.

Shadow ran up to the unicorns and began to circle around them. The unicorns

Seemed confused at first, but eventually took the bait. Shadow timed it perfectly,

One of the unicorns was drinking from the fountain so it did not notice the rest

  leaving.

Aurora used basic ice to shoot it with ice shards getting its attention. As Aurora

ran back towards the rest of the party the unicorn was well in pursuit of her.

It stopped when it seen the rest of the party, and released a storm of fire and

lightning onto the party. Everyone in the party had enough room to back away.

That was mostly true anyways, Wave was the close and took some damage from

the lightning, Violet was just behind and got hit with an ember. “What is our next

move?” Aurora whispered to the party. Wave thought about it before answering her.

“One of the Tooth launcher skills?” Everyone was in agreement.

The unicorn did not think much of the knife, but became confused when it had seen

the knife being shoved into Willow’s mouth. It felt something hit it in the head after

the knife was pulled from the girls mouth. What was going on it wondered as another

object hit its head. Seeing the girls opened mouth it could now tell that was one of

her teeth, or make that two.

“This isn’t working Wave, it just seems to be making it annoyed.” Sky has a worried

look on his face while hoping a better idea will be said by someone. Before anyone

can give an answer Violet is launching wave after wave of fireballs from her sword.

The unicorn takes mild damage, but just shrugs it off.

Wave tries to attack with standard lightning, but the unicorn just steps, or more like

floats aside. Wave attempts a basic lightning kick, which ends up hitting the unicorn’s

right knee. The attack seems to have done more damage compared to everything else.

“Guys aim for its knees.” Following Wave’s suggestion the party directs all of their

attacks towards its knees. They get off about six different types of attacks to the unicorns

knees, before it starts to guard them with a barrier of electricity and light.

“Now what?” There is frustration within Willow’s voice. The party can barely dodge

the unicorn’s counter to their repeated attacks. Temple draws her bow and shoots

it towards the unicorn’s horn. Hitting the horn causes its current magical attacks

to be disrupted. The attack on its horn does heavy damage, but it will not let such

a thing happen twice. The unicorn’s horn is the first thing to be surrounded with

Its lightning, next comes its head and neck, then the torso, and finally its legs and

feet. The electric unicorn charges towards the party in a rampage. The static electricity

in the air has slowed down the party’s movements.

Wave is in direct line to be hit with the charging unicorn. When Wave gets hit he feels

His arms and legs go numb, and his health stats have all dropped to half. Three fireballs

appear above the unicorns horn, and all come flying towards Wave who cannot move.

The fireballs hit him, but they do not do any serious damage, although if his health was

a lot lower it would have. Before the unicorn can continue its rampage, Temple divides

her bow into the two whip form, and then uses them to tie its feet together. Sky attacks

Its torso with a combination attack. Aurora and Willow use shadow steam to blind the

Unicorn. Wave attacks the unicorn’s head with his bear dash. Violet shoots fireballs from

her sword at its tail. Willow rapidly bites down on its neck repeatedly until it has died.

Shadow has been hiding for a while after herding the unicorns, he had almost got attacked

with magic when they got annoyed with him. The unicorns have know returned to the

fountain not knowing anything had gone wrong.

Once the party and Shadow had meet back up, they urged Shadow to hoard the unicorns

once more. Though not aware of the reason, Shadow was unwilling to do so at first.

It took the party twenty minutes before they could get Shadow to start hoarding them.

Like before one of the unicorns was left behind while it was drinking from the fountain.

Temple shoot the unicorn in the horn with her bow. The unicorn gave chase after her, which

lead it to her party in waiting. Aurora and Willow created a shadow steam, but the unicorn

Dispelled their attack with a strong gust of wind. Everyone was sent back flying, and Wave

hit into eagle mountain, which cost him 70, 45, and 45, in each health stat. Sky landed on

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

top of Willow, Sky’s health was fine, but will took damage. 45,20,20.

Violet’s face was blown directly into Aurora’s face. Though neither of them took any

physical damage, Violet was mentally stunned at what was taking place. Violet’s lips

had been pushed directly onto Aurora’s, it would not have been so bad if Aurora had

just got off of her as soon as it happened, but Aurora’s lips pressed even more tightly

onto Violet’s. One Aurora finally stopped, Violet shouts at her in tears. “Why, just why

did you do that!” Aurora does not say a single word and just heads back to fight the

unicorn. Violet thoughts at this very moment were. (I really hope no one happened to

see that.) Turning around Violet sees, Sky, and Wave with their mouths hanging opened,

but it is Willow’s thumbs up that is the most annoying.

Temple had some how been blown far away, and in the opposite direction of the rest

of the party. Temple landed in the fountain the unicorn had been drinking from earlier.

(Ugh, I can not believe, how much water I just coughed up.) Temple looks at her status,

it has the words nearly drowned written in red. Walking back to the party, Temple’s

health has plenty of time to recover, as she breaths in the fresh air.

When Temple gets back she notices everyone seems to be acting strangely. “Hey guys

I have made it back.” Even though the party is busy fighting the unicorn, Violet’s face

turns a deep red when she hears Temple’s words.

Wave is currently striking the unicorn on its knees with his standard lightning.

The unicorn’s body falls to the ground, it is about to levitate to get out of the

party’s range, but its tail is struck by a flurry of fireballs, which are coming from

Violet’s sword, she is doing this to release some of the frustration that the unicorn

unintentionally caused her. Violet covers her sword with standard fire, takes out

her flame gun, pulls the trigger, and swings down her sword in quick succession,

Creating fireballs in the air which if you drew a line to connect them, would look

like a crescent moon. Some how she uses the flame gun to link those points. The

fiery moon is then colored in, by the stronger fire, which is surrounding her sword.

As if the moon had been still within the air, Violet pushes it down onto the unicorn.

The unicorn feels its whole body burning as it catches on fire.

Violet looks over the message she had received after hitting the unicorn.

Violet’s furry energy was at zero, meaning it could not be used again anytime soon.

Shadow once again was hiding from the unicorns, this time he had actually gotten hit

with some lightning magic. Finding Shadow Wave motions for him to come to him.

Shadow just stands completely still pretending not to have seen Wave. Shadow

jumps when he sees Wave getting closer. Shadow starts to dash away, but instead

of falling what his mind is telling him to do, he turns around an heads towards Wave.

It does not take long for Shadow to hoard the unicorns again, but this time he prepared

a hiding spot in advance by digging a tunnel, which only he can fit through.

Another unicorn is drinking at the fountain, instead of luring it, Wave uses his spark

skill on the drinking water to give the unicorn a shock, sending it towards the party

  in its confusion.

Aurora uses standard ice to freeze the unicorns hovels to the ground. Temple fires

arrows at its horn, and all four knees. Willow attacks from the air using her standard

shadow flame. Violet sees an opportunity when the unicorn opens is mouth in pain, she

swings her sword so that a fireball lands directly into its mouth, which burns its toughen.

Wave finishes it of using a bear dash followed by a standard lightning attack.

As the party meets back up with Shadow they try to hoard the unicorns again, but

they are no longer falling for it. Sky looks at Wave and asks. “What is our next

course of action?” Wave can not think of anything and just sighs.

It is now nightfall, the party notices that most of the unicorns are sleeping, but there

are a few patrolling the area. Temple and Violet speak the same words at the same

time. “What if we make one of the patrolling unicorns follow one of us?” No one

can come up with a valid argument for their idea.

Surprisingly this idea seems to work better then anyone had anticipated. The party

soon came to the realization that each unicorns magic diverged a lot from one another.

Freezing the unicorns feet did not work this time around, it just ended up melting it with

Its fire magic. Sky and Shadow distracted this unicorn with their pet skill art of the wolves,

while wave and Violet prepared their party skill. “Run, now you two and duck for cover!”

They released their exploding sword slash, Sky quickly used his standard wind skill to

block the sound from being heard. This area was a lot bigger so Wave and Violet did

not end up as casualties of their own skill, like they had before in the mine.

Everyone was speechless after seeing that attack. The unicorns guts were scattered

everywhere from being in the epicenter of that explosion. “Wave, Violet, remind me

never to make both of you angry with me at the same time.” Sky’s words are followed

by a bead of sweat on his forehead. “That goes ditto for me as well.” Temple seems

to be shaking in fear. “Come on guys I bet it would be fun to make them angry at us.”

Willow’s smile says it all. Sky and Aurora exchange a look at each other and both

  of them shiver.

The party has now killed all of the patrolling unicorns. As the sun comes out the rest

of the unicorns awaken, unaware that anything has gone wrong. The party waits

for nightfall once more before making their move.

They have become so use to fighting unicorns by now that they know all their tactics, even

if they use unknown magic on them. This is finally their five hundredth unicorn. Wave fires

Standard lightning into the air in a manner like a net, this stops the unicorn from levitating

to safety. Temple uses a rapid succession of arrows to hit the unicorn in the horn, and knees

all at once. Aurora freezes the ground so that it will not be able to charge properly. Willow

And Violet use each of their flame skills to prevent the unicorn from leaving. Sky and

Shadow hit the unicorn in the stomach repeatedly, using art of the wolves. With the

parties tactic the unicorn is finally dead.

The sky grows a deep purple color, white stars appear creating the image of a unicorn.

This unicorn soon becomes more filled in as it walks out from the sky, and when it does

the sky is back to its normal color.

Temple fires her arrow at its horn, but the arrow changes purple and then falls to the ground.

The arrow has become nothing but a purple powder and is blown away. “You think I will let

you get away with what you have done to my kind?” The party can feel a strong pressure

coming from the purple unicorns aura. They feel like they have no chance of beating it, even

though after fighting five hundred unicorns their hp has become 3000, and aura and life force

  have become 2000.

They try and fight it anyways. They unleash wave after wave of party skills, but all of them

become that purple powder and just blow away in the breeze. “Fools their is no way for

you to beat me.” No matter how hard they try all their attacks are useless, maybe close range

Weapon attacks might work, but they can not get close to the purple unicorn while it is

floating in mid air. Even with levitation they cannot reach it. The unicorn chuckles while

  taking in sunlight.

The sun has become so bright now it is nearly blinding the party, and the purple unicorn

now has a golden sheen on it mane. Out of desperation Violet and Wave try exploding sword

slash, which backfires badly, everyone is sent flying backwards and takes heavy damage.

“Enough already!” The purple unicorn breaths out a dust which, at first reminds someone

of a fire breathing dragon, only the more it breaths out the darker the purple color of

the dust becomes. Soon the party is hit with the dust and every single one of them is knocked

  out.

The purple unicorn covers itself with a violet flame, by absorbing the harsh sunlight, which has

cast long shadows throughout the area, magenta lightning is surrounding the outside of these flames.

“So long, may we never meet again!” The purple unicorn’s words resound, shaking the earth covered soil on the ground. With this the party would die and never would they see Shadow again.
