Chapter 18 Lava ruin tournament round 2 part 3

The strong scent in the air plagued Aurora’s nostrils as she entered the stadium for her

next match. In the air five owls flew, and each of them had a different type of flower

covering their heads on the top right corner. The owl with the white lily on its head

flew towards her. The air around Aurora now had the distinctive smell of vanilla.

A sharp pain flooded Aurora’s stomach, as the scent of vanilla changed mid way up

her nose. The wretched stench brewed together with the vanilla, created what could

only be described as a bad after scent.

From the dropping of her health, Aurora could only surmise that the fragrance from

the owl was also some kind of poisonous gas, which is why her stomach now burned.

Aurora used her advance ice skill to surround herself in an ice barrier. The point of the

barrier was to have a place free from the owls odors.

(How can I fight these owls if their bodies create deadly scents?) Aurora’s thoughts racing

to come up with a solution ti the question on her mind. A thought soon occurred to her,

although it maybe a a little crazy. Aurora wondered if maybe Willow had started to rub

  off on her.

Using basic ice Aurora covered her face with an ice mask, this of course made it hard for

her to breath. Aurora takes out a mace, which she had Violet make for her. Small pieces of

sapphire were embedded like spikes at the end, and had a mechanical design which caused

pieces to go flying when ever it was whirled around or swung. Like the arrows for a bow,

these pieces needed to be picked up afterwards in order to reuse them.

Aurora begins to slowly twirl the mace, gradually picking up speed over time. Enough force

has been used, so now the sapphire points go hurling towards the owl. The owl doges most

of the shards, but does taker miner damage from a single piece of shard, which is now wedged

deep underneath one of its wings.

Aurora had to take off the mask. Air filled her lungs as she heavily breathed it in.

(Alright so this is what I had been worried about happening.) Aurora’s thoughts on

the matter of how hard it would be to breath afterwards. Aurora knew their had to

be a way for her to not inhale the aromas, which the owls produced.

The owl with the lily blooming upon its head, tried its best to fly away from the

one it had tagged for defeat. The sapphire embed into the under part of its wing,

was causing problems with the direction in which it was attempting to fly.

Aurora tried to use her sound manipulation skill to knock down the owl, however

the sound could not travel the distance. Picking up the sapphire shards, Aurora

placed them back onto the mace, being patient as she did so, not wanting to cause

harm to herself from the pointed tips.

The owl decided to create a new scent, which it would send in Aurora’s direction.

Aurora got a whiff of the air, which was like vinegar being burned while a skunk was

on fire. Vomit hurled from Aurora’s stomach in an instant. (Why would it create such

a horrendous smell?) Aurora knew the answer to this to an extent, however there must

have been a better way to fight their enemies.

While the girl was a victim to its air born concoction, the owl opened its beak wide

and headed towards her for a bite. Aurora could feel a searing pain where the owl

was now crunching down on her, which was the lower part of the back of her neck.

Using sound manipulation, Aurora made the owl fall to the ground. Not wasting this

chance she coated it in an ice tomb. Aurora swings her mace down onto the hard ice

owl statue, shattering it to pieces over and over again. (That is the first owl taken care

Of, now I know I will not be as lucky with the next ones.) Thinking to herself, Aurora

creates another ice barrier in order to get some fresh air.

Having watched their ally fall, the fragrance owls begin their plan of retaliation.

Getting out from the ice barrier, Aurora notices the air around her feels a lot thicker.

(They could not have? Could they?) Aurora was chocking on the air, it was layered

with so many different scents, that it was like their was no scents in the air whatsoever.

A rainbow of flower petals begins to float in the air, but soon picks up momentum, and

is then slammed into Aurora. The pain is amplified by the fact she is coughing and

  chocking on the thickened air.

Pillars of icicles shoot up from Aurora’s location, this causes the owls to scatter.

Aurora crawls away from the area that has had its air thickened. Looking at the

edge of the stadium, Aurora is suddenly struck with inspiration. Huge snow hills

begin to form near the edge of the stadium. Aurora is making these hills is big and

  as tall as possible.

The whole stadium is now surrounded by snow hills. Getting behind one of these

hills, Aurora unleashes a powerful scream amplified by her sound manipulation.

The snow all begins to shake, and then it falls towards the center. Not aware of

what is about to happen the owls all get crushed by a heavy pile of snow.

Aurora can see where the owls are trapped under the pile of snow. Standing in

the center, she swings her mace around and around, this creates a down pour

of sapphire spikes, tearing through the owls and finishing them once and for all.

Aurora listens for the usual cue. “And the winner is Aurora Rose-song!” Picking

Up the shards Aurora heads to the waiting room, and heads to one that is filled with

plant life, this is to get some fresh air.
