"The pleasure's mine. Rogier's the name. A sorcerer, as you might have guessed. I'm looking for a little something, here in the castle. When I'm not hotfooting it from the troops, that is. But enough about me, what are you doing here in Stormveil Castle? This pce is bristling with Tarnished hunters, you know. They sacrifice our kind, for grafting. Not exactly a pce I'd stroll into without a purpose in mind..."(Rogier)
Rogier was a nice guy, one of the better folks in this world. I was gd to meet him.
"I'm here to defeat Godrick."(Alexis)
"You can see it then, I take it? The guidance of grace. Well, enjoy it while you can. I'm Tarnished, like you. But unlike you, I've seen neither hide nor hair of this guidance for the longest time. Still, I won't forget how it felt when I first came here, to the Lands Between. I'm privy to a few magical battle arts. Would you care to learn one? As a fellow Tarnished, once guided by grace, I'd love to help you out, if it please."(Rogier)
I checked over the scrolls he was offering. I purchased all of them.
"The battle art you've learned is of the glintstone family. They were conceived at the great Academy of Raya Lucaria, to the north of this castle. In the past, they obeyed ws which contravened the Golden Order, or so I'm told. Fascinating, isn't it? That the Golden Order was pliable enough to absorb practices that contradicted itself in the past. With the Order broken, twisted, and in need of repair, such adaptability is more important now than ever."(Rogier)
I nodded and turned to leave. Rogier simply nodded and turned back to whatever it was that he was doing.
I continued past the dead soldiers and knights who all had a bunch of arrows sticking out of them and I made my way to the main hall. As I passed through the balcony above the main hall, I saw a rge creature covered in blue cloth with many arms and legs wielding two golden swords and a rge golden shield waltzing through the main hall beneath me. A grafted scion.
...
This longbow is a cheat...
The poor thing never stood a chance. I sat upon the balcony, firing arrow after arrow, and the grafted scion could only stand there and take the shots. It had no means of reaching me, and thus no option with which to fight back.
I think I'm in love...
"??????! ??????!"(???)
I explored the various doors from the main hall. I found where every door led and even located the Chrysalids Memento. I had a pce I needed to bring this, so I took an elevator back up to the rampart tower. Then I teleported to the Stormhill Shack. I approached Roderika.
"A pleasure to see you. Did you give the little chrysalids the message? That I love them. And that, despite my craven heart, I'm sure I'll be joining their club soon enough"(Roderika)
I said nothing, but instead I handed her the Chrysalids Memento. I could see her confusion as she took it in her hand.
"What's this? A keepsake? From my men? Oh, goodness me... I can't... *Sniff*"(Roderika)
I gave her a few minutes to finish crying, to let her feelings out.
"They all... believed in me. They all thought I'd make something of myself. Me! Who can't do anything... I think I'll head to the Roundtable Hold. Perhaps I'll find my purpose there"(Roderika)
I simply smiled, then I teleported back to the rampart tower. I had some pces I needed to go within Stormveil.
I took the elevator down and walked through one of the doors until I came across a sealed doorway. I used a stone sword key to open the path and after killing the exile soldiers within I obtained the Iron Whetbde and the Misericord. I then moved back to the main hall and walked through a different doorway. I quickly ran across a courtyard and into a basement area without being seen. I killed the giant rats within and used a stone sword key to open a room where I obtained the Godsyer Seal and the Godskin prayerbook.
On the other side I came up behind a series of ballistae. Killing all the soldiers manning the ballistae and the soldiers guarding the path beneath the ballistae, I made my way down towards the gatehouse, opening the main gate of the castle and looting the corpses within. I then made my way up to a pseudo-courtyard. I could see the rge lion-like creature with a sword attached to its front leg. I could feel that I was able to summon spirits here and so I summoned Oleg and prepared for battle.
I quickly jumped back as the lion leaped up and came crashing down where I was standing just before. Oleg rushed in to engage the creature, but it was fast, very fast. I quickly called upon the draconic power within me and cast Dragon Fire, burning the lion and reducing its HP by more than half. Once I ran out of FP and I felt the spiritual fatigue building up in my mind, the spell ended. I quickly rolled back as the lion turned its attention onto me. Oleg cut through the lion's rear legs, bringing its anger and attention back to Oleg.
The lion leapt up and over and now Oleg was positioned between me and the lion. The lion rushed forwards and sshed Oleg with its sword, only for a rge draconic cw to come crashing down upon it. I smashed my incanted dragon arm down on the lion once more, killing it. As Oleg sheathed his swords and vanished, I turned towards the great entryway to the great bridge that leads towards the Divine Tower of Limgrave.
On the stairs to the great bridge, I found the Bolt Drake Talisman. I now had a talisman for defending against all forms of non-physical damage, Holy, Magic, Fire, and now Lightning.
I left the bridge for the rest of Stormveil after activating the site of grace. I took the path with caution. I knew that there were ballistae loaded with explosive bolts all over this path. My longbow allowed me to deal with the exile soldiers manning the ballistae without incurring a counterattack. Making my trek up the path simple.
I soon arrived at the main courtyard. An area filled to the brim with soldiers. The soldiers themselves were weaklings, but their sheer numbers were troublesome. Clearing them out was a tiring endeavor. In the end it was only me, a massive fricking dog, and an omen left. The omen would be a tough opponent, but it was the dog that had me worried. Dogs in Elden Ring could sughter even max-level characters with the best armor and weapons so long as they let their guard down. I equipped some throwing knives and prepared to lure the dog away from the omen.
That fight with the Omen was gonna hurt.
