Chapter 3: The Legacy of a Savior

  The One Destined for Everything

Chapter 3: The Legacy of a Savior

Night had fallen over the city. The cold breeze slipped through the window, but Juan barely felt it. His mind was still tangled in the strange events that had surrounded him in recent days: the strength he had felt, the visions of the Mother Plates, and that whisper telling him he was destined for everything.

Silently, Juan went downstairs and found his grandmother sitting in her favorite armchair, knitting as she did every night. Her hands, marked by time, moved gracefully as each stitch flowed with precision.

“Can’t sleep?” she asked without looking up from her knitting.

“Not really…” Juan replied, sitting across from her.

There was a brief silence. Juan wanted to speak, but he didn’t know where to start. His grandmother noticed and set her knitting aside.

“What’s wrong, son?” she asked in that warm voice that always seemed to calm him.

  Juan took a deep breath.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

“Lately… I’ve been having strange dreams,” he admitted. “I see… something. Huge floating plates… and someone talking to me.”

  His grandmother’s expression turned serious.

“And what does that voice say?”

  “That I’m… destined for everything.”

His grandmother sighed. Her eyes, always peaceful, now seemed different… as if she knew something Juan didn’t.

“Listen carefully, Juan,” she said at last. “What you’re feeling… what you’re seeing… it’s no coincidence.”

  Juan frowned.

  “How can you know that?”

His grandmother leaned closer, taking his hands firmly.

“Because you’re not an ordinary boy. You never have been.”

Juan felt a chill run down his spine.

“Since you were little,” she continued, “I always noticed something different about you. There are people who are born to follow the path set before them… and then there are those who are born to guide the path for everyone else.”

Juan tried to process her words.

  “But… what does that mean?”

His grandmother took a deep breath and looked him directly in the eyes.

“It means that one day… you’ll face something so great it will make you doubt yourself. But when that day comes, remember this: You are strong because you have the heart of a good man. No matter how powerful you become… what will define you is what you choose to do with that strength.”

“What if I fail?” Juan murmured, feeling the weight of it all pressing down on him.

His grandmother squeezed his hands even tighter.

—“You won’t fail. Because when the time comes, you’ll know that you’re not fighting just for yourself… but for everyone who believes in you.”

There was a long silence. Those words felt heavier than any strange dream or mysterious vision.

“Don’t forget this, Juan,” his grandmother added. “True power doesn’t lie in the strength of your fists… but in the strength of your heart.”

For the first time in days, Juan felt at peace. He leaned forward and hugged his grandmother tightly.

“Thank you…” he whispered, knowing those words would stay with him forever.

As he walked back to his room, Juan didn’t know it yet… but those words would become the anchor that would keep him from losing himself when darkness came.

Because very soon, fate would test not only his strength… but also his will to remain the man destined to save it all.
