Chapter 2 Planet

In the empty void of space a void crack appeared, expelling a ghostly luminescent orb.

“Gah! That was horrible, I almost died a second time, and this time it would have been permanent.

Can’t I just naturally wait for death while I fade away.” Seth vibrated in anguish, before calming down.

He then proceeded to send out his soul sense to gage the situation around him.

“This seems to be the void, and what are those bright twinkling things? They look like stars, but they aren’t radiating any Dao; strange.”

Seth put all his focus on his soul sense to try and find out what was going on, and why were things so damn strange.

With this; an invisible ripple radiated out of the orb as he tried to figure out what was going on around him.

Seth pulsed in surprise before he exclaimed. “I can’t feel the Dao nor can I feel any Qi. In fact I can’t even feel the Immortal realm.

My connection to it has been fully severed. Not good! I’ll soon turn into nothing at this rate.”

  CRACK!

Hearing this familiar loud sound Seth shivered and sent his soul sense behind him to see what was going on.

“Damn, the void behind me is unstable I’ll be sucked in at this rate I better get out of here.”

Seth tried to move but alas he couldn’t. He was just an orb after all.

“No! I’ll die at this rate; my only opinion is to burn some of my soul up in order to escape!”

Without a second thought Seth burnt a bit of his soul in order to escape from the void crack that was growing unstable behind him.

As if sensing Seth’s actions to escape, the void crack behind him grew more unstable while it’s gravitational pull strengthened from almost non-existent to terrifyingly powerful.

“Damn!” Seth further rushed the burning of his soul to practically insinuating it. Despite the horrifying and excruciating pain it brought him.

The voids pull also pulled harder as if it’s life long goal was to consume him.

  CRACK, CRASH, BOOM!

Despite the vacuum space one could still hear the ungodly sounds coming from the void crack as reality itself was being torn apart.

At that moment Seth could have sworn he heard the void call out to him, ‘You don’t belong here; so Die!’

Whether or not he heard correctly or was just imagining things due to the pain of having a part of his soul being incinerated.

He roared out in objection, “No! I won’t die here! Not today! Not now!”

Just as the void was about to swallow him whole. Qi created from his insinuated soul invigorated Seth and he shot out faster than the speed of light.

Barley escaping the endless clutches of the bottomless void. Seth felt like he was on top the world.

“Haha! Woo! I’m free, there aren’t no one who’s going to stop me now.”

Seth was traveling faster than light so he couldn’t see, or to be more precise couldn’t sense anything.

Soon Seth exited the darkness of hyper space.

“Where… am I now?” Seth sensed his surroundings. Only to exclaim in surprise.

“What’s that?” Seth gazed upon the massive astral body that was silently rotating.

“Is this a small realm or something? Why is there a planet here, I still can’t sense the Dao nor can I sense any Qi emanating form it. ”

Seth mentality gawked while he physically shook from surprise.

“let me see if there is anything alive on it?”

He then sent his weekend soul sense onto the brown celestial body.

“There doesn’t seem to be anything alive on it, that’s strange there aren’t any tombs ether. Why would a small world not have any life on it?”

Seth slowly drifted towards the planet with his last bit Qi.

“At least there’s nothing here. This would be perfect for my final resting place.

It’s a whole lot safer than empty space.”

Seth slowly entered the dry atmosphere of the plant before landing on a mountain.

“Ah, that’s better even though I don’t have any feet; after what I’ve been through I’m happy to be on the ground.”

Seth took a while to calm down before he decided to seal off the Dao that was holding his soul together to prevent it from dissipating.

“I may not have long to live but at least I’ve been able to travel and I’ve experienced something new.

For too long have I had the responsibility of looking after trillions of living things.

Now I’m free, I can finally rest. I haven’t sleep in millions of years maybe I should get some sleep before it’s too late.”

With that; Seth let his sense wonder as he entered a dream like state.

But unbeknownst to Seth, the planet seemed to have come to life and swallowed him up.
