Adrian wasn't sure whether his stats had started now or had been at this level during the fights.
A skill point is good, but he'd look at that later. He needed to decide if he was going to go full-blown ninja. He assumed dexterity was agility-based, wisdom was the strength of his spells, stamina was the amount of energy he had to cast spells, and Constitution was his health, with strength being self-explanatory.
Adrian decided to get every stat to double digits with an almost even split between dexterity and stamina. He should look into the best way to build out, but he felt okay about this one.
Quest: Stop the Funko Pops
Reward: Medic in a Bottle x5
Quest: Defeat Vegeta
Reward: Attunement selection available
Reward: Headband of the Hidden Dragon Village
Reward: Signet of the Hidden Dragon Village
"Holy shit!" Adrian was shocked. All this looked like a massive upgrade.
"Speaking of stuff, what's the loot looking like?" Paige asked.
Everyone's mouth slowly curved upward.
"Yeah, I'd honestly be surprised if this group didn't walk out of there with some good shit. Any pokeballs or lightsabers? Those seemed like the two big prizes for the fight."
Paige looted two pokeballs. Dusky looted two pokeballs and a lightsaber. Todd looted one pokeball and one lightsaber while Brody said he didn't get anything. Maeve managed to loot two pokeballs, with Adrian being the big winner with two pokeballs and two lightsabers.
"Damn, captain! Didn't see you take any sabers, but that should be a good haul." Paige padded Adrian on back.
"Whoa whoa whoa. Adrian is not the captain of this group." Maeve showed more emotion in this statement than in the entirety of the boss fight.
"Never said I was captain. And this group doesn't strike me as the type to take orders, so let's agree we're all equal partners." Adrian said, wanting to avoid this conflict, that dealing with a group with authority issues was difficult.
"The AI will want a party leader. I heard from a different group that the highest-level person has first dibs on the party leader." Todd added, "They don't get anything other than party control in the system. I'll get this started."
You have been invited to form a new party. Do you accept [Todd]'s party invitation? [Y] [N]
Adrian accepted, as did the others. Maeve hesitated but ultimately relented and accepted the party invite.
A new party has formed! The party leader will go to the party's highest level, [Hue]. [Hue] can pass on the party leader, who will go to the next strongest member of the party. Would you like to pass the party leader?
"Who the fuck is Hue?" Everyone started looking around, as if some rando just snuck into the group. Adrian sighed and told them the story of how the AI messed up his name and wouldn't change it.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
"And your AI's name is Dude? You literally haven't said 'dude' once to us yet, you say it to a creepy AI robot who kidnapped you?" Paige fell over laughing, slapping Brody a little too hard for his liking.
"I refuse to go by Hue, and who knows with the AI. We'll deal with the AIs when they come online." Adrian returned to the party interface.
[Hue] has passed on the party leader. The next in line is [Maeve].
Everyone looked at Adrian, who just wanted a drink. Maeve looked shocked but gave the group a slight nod.
[Maeve] has become party leader. Please name the party.
"We are shinobi, Maeve. Please name the party to involve the shinobi that we are." Dusky added his suggestion, which seemed appropriate for their group's build. Maeve gave another slight nod before a small smile crept on her face.
The party name has been selected. Welcome to the party of the Cucks and Cunts.
Everyone laughed except Brody, who started brooding, "This is so damaging to my image. Should've joined Cash and the Swords."
"Joining a larger group of cucks won't be any better!" Paige screamed from the other side of the road, playing with Todd's cyberpunk skateboard.
"They're more cunts than cucks. And it's not too late to fuck off, Brody." Maeve added. The smile on her face might've been the first genuine smile Adrian had seen from her. Adrian knew Maeve would've been difficult if she weren't the party leader, and Adrian saw no issue giving it to her. He was onto the next task before he could be distracted by the bickering between the team.
Attunement selection is available. Would you like to choose attunement? [Y] [N]
Adrian agreed, and the options came through his interface.
Inferno
Gravity
Frost
Rhythm
"Description," Adrian said out loud.
"Not enough power to generate descriptions for the attunements."
"Are you kidding me?"
"No."
Adrian was no longer surprised by the AI's lack of help. He had some great loot items and an item upgrade he wanted to use after the attunement, but a description would've been nice. Inferno and Frost seemed self-explanatory, and Adrian would've considered whether he could choose more than one attunement. Rhythm seemed cool, implying he would get stronger when we hit his groove, but Gravity seemed like the strongest option.
Congratulations! You have selected Gravity as your attunement.
"Okay, now description."
Still not enough juice for Gravity's description. Sorry, Hue.
Adrian let out a low growl. He would just have to figure it out on his own and hope he hadn't missed anything important. Next, Adrian looked at his new headband.

Adrian looked around at the others who were going through the same process, "Anyone get a headband or a signet?"
Paige and Dusky both came into view, each holding their new headbands and signets.
"I think it looks sexy on me," Paige said, posing a little with the peace sign up.
She was still in her Nami cosplay. The headband gave her a crossover of anime shows, but she's moving towards the group's synergy, which was a good thing. Her headband was for the Hidden Mist, not the Hidden Dragon like Adrian's. "And it gives a group bonus!"
"My headband looks sexy on me, too," Dusky said, touching his headband with reverence. "The Elders of the Endless Dream now recognize me. It is an honor to join the ranks of such a legendary group."
"Do you even know anything about the Endless Dream?"
"I know enough that it is quite exclusive and only the most talented of shinobis gain entry. And the headband also gives an awesome group bonus."
"So you don't know anything. And my headband has a group bonus too," Adrian added. They discussed their group bonuses as they walked west from the convention center. Each of the party bonuses from the headbands was significant. Adrian didn't know what happened to people outside the convention center, but their experience inside was excellent. Maeve, Brody, and Todd didn't get a headband, but they did get some good items. Maeve got a tattoo kit, and Todd got a toolkit with a workbench. Brody was still mum on his loot, which was fine with everyone.
"Let's scout out the city and find a place to set up camp," Maeve said, with more authority in her voice than usual. She looked at the wizard hat with contempt before putting it on. "3 billion plus people are dead, and who knows what trials other people are being forced to do as we speak. Keep your guards up."
One of the tattoos on Maeve's back began to glow and materialize behind her.
"The fuck is that?" Brody exclaimed, pointing at the tattoo materializing from Maeve. It just looked like a ball of light, with smaller lights shimmering around it.
"This is a wisp," Maeve said, climbing on the wisp. "I'll scout from the sky. Oh, and I'll head back to my hotel if it's clear. Keep comms open in party chat." Adrian, Todd, and Dusky all said they would head back to check on their homes and headed towards the parking garage, hoping nothing had happened to their cars. Dusky pulled out the deceased Gandalf's stolen car keys, earning a look from Adrian.
"It's loot like everything else we got."
Adrian sighed. He didn't see any faults in the logic but it was weird the stolen car bothered him more than the atrocities committed in the convention center.
Todd took back his skateboard from Paige, much to her dismay, before she began wandering the streets.
"Talk soon," Todd said to everyone who hadn't left yet.
"Guess I'll look for a bar," Brody mused as he walked away.
