I woke up gasping for air.
My heart pounded so violently it felt like it might burst out of my chest. My throat was dry, and my hands trembled as I stared at the unfamiliar ceiling above me.
A hospital room.
White walls. The faint smell of medicine. A window stood open beside the bed, curtains fluttering gently as cool night air flowed inside. Somewhere outside, papers rustled in the wind.
It took a moment for me to realize something was wrong.
That dream…
It was the first dream I had ever experienced.
As I tried to sit up, a sharp discomfort spread through my chest. My heartbeat grew louder in my ears, each pulse echoing like a warning. I swallowed hard, my thoughts scattered and slow.

And then, a strange question surfaced in my mind.
A stupid question. One that no normal person should ever need to ask themselves.
Who… am I?
________
They say the war between nations ended because of a hero.
That is what the storytellers claim.
After countless years of bloodshed—of kingdoms invading, conquering, and destroying one another—the world finally changed. Borders were redrawn. Alliances were formed. And from that chaos, a new order emerged.
This world is ruled by four great kingdoms:
The Human Kingdom.
The Elf Kingdom.
The Spirit Kingdom.
And the Beast Kingdom.
The Beast Kingdom is unique among them. It is a land for those who do not fully belong anywhere else—beings who are neither entirely human, elf, nor spirit.
Because of this, it is often called the Kingdom of Demons.
In the Human Kingdom, almost everyone is born with a companion bound to their soul.
An existence known as an Inner Demon.
Ninety-eight percent of the population possesses one. These beings grant power, strength, and authority, making the Human Kingdom one of the most feared across the continent.
But… what about the remaining two percent?
They are anomalies.
Some are born empty—without an Inner Demon at all.
Others awaken something different.
A spiritual entity known as an Orbi.
Unlike the pure spirits of the Spirit Kingdom, Orbies exist between worlds—half spirit, half demon. Neither light nor darkness, yet connected to both.
Unlike Inner Demons, an Orbi does not appear at birth. One must encounter it… deep within their own soul.
Inner Demons themselves are divided into ranks:
Common.
Uncommon.
Rare.
Legendary.
Mythical.
And above them all—
Supreme.
Those who possess such beings stand at the peak of the Human Kingdom, feared and revered in equal measure.
That…
That is the world I was born into.
A beautiful world, bound by power, souls, and unseen connections.
And now—
Let me tell you what happened to me in this world.
Because even now, after everything…
I still ask myself—
Is this… even real?
