The Shadow-Veil

Kaiden stood at a lose for words, his mind racing as he tries to piece everything together, he had just been told something he simply couldn't understand, a member of hell, reaching out towards him. "i still don't get it! why would this man have any reason to try and reach out towards me, I've never seen him before a day in my life!"

Ronald lets out a deep sigh while rubbing his eyes. "Trust me kid, if i knew if tell you, i don't know much about the under-world layer but i do know its not a place where people scream out for help towards random 16 year old's in their dreams, whoever this guy is clearly knows you, and he clearly needs you" he stand up and stretches a bit before continuing. "The only place you'd be able to find out the answer to that question is the under-world layer itself, or of course.. the shadow-veil."

Kaiden stands in confusion, he'd never heard of the shadow-veil before, due to the fact that everyone on the middle-world layer knows only of the existence of the first three layers, not the further two. "W-what? whats the shadow-veil? is that like some place linked to the under-world that we access through the middle-world?!" Kaiden face plasters with confusion as he tries to understand the next words that exit from Ronald's mouth

"your whole life you've been made to believe the world was split into three layers, that was a lie. 600 years ago it was split into 5 layers, the three you already know of being the under-world, middle-world and upper-world, and then the two above them which close to no one down here knows about, the the Rejustorian Prison realm, a sort of prison made for the worst of the worst, and then above it all, the shadow-veil, i ain't got a clue whats up there or who's up there, but i know it exists, and i know its where the barriers between every layer are made from." Ronald stepped away after a deep exhale, walking towards the kitchen. "Sorry kid but as far as help goes, that's all I've got to tell you, i don't really know much else about that stuff, and unless you die after being a horrible person, you ain't ever getting into the under-world layer, and the shadow-veil is the last place you'll ever be able to enter"

Kaiden stood frozen, trying to process everything, it still made little to no sense to him, but he trusted the old man more than anyone else. "Thank you Ronald.." he takes a step back towards the door, gently taking the handle into the palm of his hand. "But i cant give up on finding out what this all mean, maybe when that man mentioned a gate, its some sort of hidden gate to the under-world layer, if this gate is out there, i have to find it, i have to.."

Ronald looks back, a mixture of worry and confliction sparking across his face, but he knew he wouldn't be able to change Kaiden's mind. "Okay...okay kid. but know, people who try to get to other layers before dying, always get sent to the prison, be careful.." Ronald looks away, still conflicted but able to accept it.

  At school.

Kaiden sits at his desk, replaying the words from Ronald over and over, it all sounded crazy but Kaiden couldn't just throw it all aside and pretend it wasn't real, he knew it was.

A hand slapped over the back of Kaiden's head, slipped across him before the person sat down beside him. "Yoo Kaiden my BRO!" Kaiden's childhood best friend, Aiden Ross 16 years old with long dark blue hair, skinny but semi-lean as well, him and kaiden have been best friends since as long as they could remember.

Kaiden looked up, a smile flickering across his face as his mind washes away from the thought of Ronald, he gives Aiden a light fist bump before turning to face his books again. "Hey dude, how you doing?"

"Ah well you know, how good can a stud like me be in a school filled with close to no good lookin' girls" He throws himself back into a big lean on his chair, they both stay silent for a second before Kaiden breaks the silence..

"I've never seen you speak to a girl before.." Kaiden spoke in a deadpanned tone before getting up. "I'm off to the toilet, be back soon"

Aiden scrambles himself up with a look of friendly anger on his face. "Woah woah woah lets go back a bit to the "I've never seen you speak to a girl before"" Aiden spoke in a mocking tone while Kaiden had to hold back his laughter through his creasing smile. "i do speak to PLENTY of girls" going to sit down before slightly whispering loud enough for Kaiden to hear. "just ask your mum she knows all about it.."

Kaiden whirls himself around and gives Aiden a gentle toss across the head. "Hey listen man fuck you." Letting out a jokey chuckle. "I'll be back in just a minute."

Kaiden stood in the empty bathroom, looking deeply into the mirror while his mind went back to the through of everything that he has been told just hours before, any normal person wouldn't believe a word of it, so why should he... Kaiden picked his head up high and got ready to leave, until his mind began to race even further back to the dreams, why did that man want HIM out of all people to save him? whats the purpose of the gate? question he couldn't help but asking himself over and over again, there had to be a purpose. As Kaiden finally managed to calm his mind, the side of the wall next to him burst open, ripping apart through a sort of portal, Kaiden stumbled back, slipping to the ground, his hands slipping across the wet floor as he pushes himself back against the radiator sitting against the wall

"W-WHAT THE FUCK!?" Kaiden couldn't help himself from worried about just what was happening, he looked around for anything as the portal pulsated larger until within a split second, a massive claw stabbed through the portal, ripping it open as a massive creature crawled out, grinding its legs across the ground as its fingers digged into the wall slightly tearing them down, then HE came into view, a man sitting atop the creature in a nonchalant way, like it was nothing special.

"yo, Kaiden Huritan?" The man spoke up, middle aged with slight grey hairs growing out from his face

"Y-yeah" Kaiden said in a low, fear struck tone, his face still plastered with fear, his hands gripping tightly onto the radiator bars behind him.

The man looked down slightly at him, a slight smile reaching across his face. "Well then, seems its finally time."
