Leonidas looked on in horror and vomited several times while Edward stood there, disgust written all over his face.

  Leonidas stood there, seeing the monstrosity of rifts.

  When, all of a sudden, a young man, about thirteen years old, with a dragon tail and a terrifying aura, appeared, even making Edward kneel.

  Leo vomited blood just from the thing’s aura.

  “Hello there, young children. I am Fang Yuan, and you are my new prey,” the dragon said maliciously, smiling with a wide grin.

  The dragon then suddenly ate the human skin spaghetti, drank the blood soup, and devoured the compressed organs.

  Leo could do nothing but watch as the monster ate the flesh of the dead.

  Edward quickly rushed in, attempting to slice his head off, but Fang Yuan used his tail to block, shattering the blade before summoning an ice pillar and smashing it into Edward’s stomach.

  Edward got launched out of the forest. “Edward, no!” Leo screamed.

  “The forest is a distraction,” Fang Yuan said as he created a blizzard that sliced through all of the trees in the forest, even freezing it.

  Edward knew he couldn’t win. He was a transcendent drifter, which was the fourth stage of drifter out of nine stages.

  While Fang Yuan was ranked sixth out of nine, it was a fight Edward knew he couldn’t win.

  Leo saw Edward being flung back, and despair washed over his face as Fang Yuan slowly walked toward him, saying, “You will make an excellent meal.”

  Leo summoned his black and red flame around his hand, attempting to punch Fang Yuan, but Fang Yuan dodged and punched Leo, sending him flying. Then, while Leo was still in the air, Fang Yuan released a barrage of ice shards that rapidly travelled toward Leo’s body.

  Leo quickly vaporised the ice shards and landed on the floor, his body scraping on the ground. Leo and Edward got up together, and they both activated their talents.

  Edward quickly chucked four lightning bolts at Fang Yuan, but he stomped and released a medium-sized surge of ice from the floor below. Edward, using his lightning to amplify his body, turned to the side to avoid the hit.

  Leonidas quickly used the compressed fireball he had previously used in the training hall, but this time it was a larger one, compressed and shot at Fang Yuan.

  But Fang Yuan moved the ice surge to block the attack. Edward wrapped the fireball with his lightning, which managed to destroy the ice.

  “I must say I am quite impressed by what you have done, but in the end, it is a futile attempt,” Fang Yuan said, cackling.

  Neither Edward nor Leo said anything. Instead, they adopted a fight stance and used their respective talents to boost their physical strength.

  Edward ran in first, putting both legs forward for a double kick, the lightning covering his legs, but Fang Yuan blocked with his dragon tail and slammed Edward to the ground before throwing him toward a mountain.

  Leonidas shot three fireballs the size of a football at Fang Yuan.

  But Fang Yuan side-stepped them, getting close to Leo.

  Leo attempted to punch him in the stomach, but Fang Yuan, instead of blocking, took the hit.

  Leo tried hitting him several times, but to no avail.

  “I’m getting bored with this. Listen here, kid, give up and run home,” Fang Yuan said as Leonidas kept punching and punching.

  Fang Yuan punched the side of Leonidas’s head, sending him skidding across the snow. Before Leonidas could react, ten ice logs were chucked at Leonidas, breaking the sound barrier.

  Leonidas rolled on the floor, trying to dodge, but the last log hit his arm, trapping it. But through sheer determination to live, Leonidas ripped off his arm.

  Blood splattered over the snow floor as Leo quickly used his flames to cauterise the wound, or else he would have bled out.

  Edward, still in the mountain, heard the cry of Leonidas, and though his bones were broken, he stood up and jumped from the mountain.

  Before Fang Yuan could kill Leonidas, Edward summoned 200 tiny lightning bolts and fired them at Fang Yuan.

  Fang Yuan quickly dodged and side-stepped all the attacks. Then he suddenly summoned a big snowstorm that blinded his eyes, but Edward pushed his body to the limit and tried to slash his neck.

  But Fang Yuan pierced his heart.
