  I grabbed my head as intense visions began to flood me. “AH!” Then they were gone as fast as they had come.

  “But he deserved it!” I said weakly as tears filled my eyes from the mental pain.

  “Make me!” I snapped angrily. My body jerked and I smiled. “I will no longer harm the Hero, is a perfection and I was silly to ever try!”

  “Oh I do, but that does not mean I can’t respect her. She won Hero as first wife. Never underestimate your opponents!”

  “Where are you going, Ember?” Hero said as he looked over at me. Alia and Aqua were both passed out. They clearly couldn’t keep up with his majesty. As to be expected from lessers.

  “Ah! I am on my way to get a new dress, my old one was eaten by the python!” I said with a slight snarky smile.

  Hero’s eyes narrowed at me and I felt a pang of fear. Did.. did he already know?! He must! He is the Hero.. but still.. I was hoping… “Pick some clothes up for the rest of us. Make yourself useful.”

  I defted internally and almost nodded. Instead, I scoffed. “Obviously. You take me for an idiot?” Hero looked at me for a moment, smiled and nodded.

  Damn, you are good at this. But he’ll probably figure it out eventually.

  Turning I walked back towards the gate. I whispered under my breath. “Hopefully you will know how to respect our great Hero by then.”

  HeroRuby had taken over Ember's body and was impersonating her. I didn’t even wanna open that can of worms. Ruby was.. A lot. But she was far easier to coerce then you might think. Honestly, I was impressed she was able to actually scoff at me. Ruby had always been the more confident between the two Princesses.

  If she knew I knew who she was.. She would have made a big scene. On her knees, begging forgiveness, etc. As long as she believed she was fooling me by ‘being’ Ember, she would be fine and py her role well enough.

  She had a superiority complex from hell. It made it extremely easy to read her. I sighed as I looked at the white little fox who had patiently, mindlessly waited. “In retrospect, I should have waited until after…”

  “You may shift back now Melissa.” I said casually. Melissa tilted her head, then her body began to grow. A few moments ter she stood naked in front of me with her bnk obedient smile.

  “I live to serve my Hero.” She said as she bowed. She wasn’t even trying to hide her four tails. She clearly was being a Kitsune in front of everyone.

  I sighed. Melissa was going to fucking kill me when she was freed… Which is why the next part was going to suck… “Melissa, order your soldiers to throw down their weapons and return to the vilge. Then to utterly submit to human captivity.”

  Was it fucked up? Definitely. But I was going to stop this war before it started. The moment she was free, she would probably instantly have her troops attack. I could NOT let that happen.

  Melissa turned to her people. “Hero has spoken! All of us are now sves to our new human masters! Throw your weapons down and submit!”

  I stepped forward and whispered quietly to Melissa. “I am sorry for that, I know you're in there. This is temporary until we can fix you.”

  Melissa giggled and covered her mouth. “I don’t understand Hero! I am right here and ready to obey! You need never apologize to your pet!” Even as she said these, she started to stiffen. Then her teeth clenched and a single tear left her eye.

  “Die…this..” Was all she could get out before she twitched again and the smile returned. I sighed.

  “I know..” I said weakly. “But I swear I will make it up to you when this is all over.” I watched her carefully.

  She giggled again and stepped forward. “Oh Master! You are so strange sometimes. Please let me know what I can do for your greatness!”
